I got to my reservation time and there was maybe 12-15 people in line with two workers in the front. I stood in line for over 2 hours. Not once did the employees apologize. Maybe 3-5 people left the line to enterprise and was in line less than 15 minutes. Myself after the 2 hours past my reservation time, one worker just grabs her stuff and just says “someone will be with you”. Waiting for the one desk employee for around 20 minutes. I make it to the counter to find out that budget did not have the car I reserved. I left the counter and walked to enterprise. I will never go back to budget.Reviewed 20 Aug 2024

The woman at the service desk was very kind. Unfortunately, the mini van was damaged before I got it off the lot so I had to get another one. The second van was not clean. Very poor representation for Budget.Reviewed 4 Jun 2024

I needed a car at the last minute due to a canceled flight from Tucson. The only way to get to our destination for a celebratory event was to book a flight on another airline from Phoenix. I was able to make a car reservation online from my phone which was easy to do. When the counter opened the service person was very helpful but the added charges were very confusing and unclear. What started as a less than one-day rental to get from the Tucson airport to Phoenix airport costing about $100 turned into a rental for less than 8 hours for $250. Kayak didn't prompt me for my FastBreak number so I initially had to stand in line, which was 10+ people and didn't move the entire time I was there. I eventually managed to add my reservation to FastBreak and was able to get my car there but I would have wasted a huge amount of time if that didn't work.Reviewed 18 Apr 2024

I picked up the van. It had 1/4 of a tank of fuel. I took a picture of it. I have never picked up a vehicle that did not have a full tank. I returned it with just over a 1/4 of a tank. They charged me over $190 for fuel. I will be trying to get my money back from them.Reviewed 31 Mar 2024

Parking at the airport parking lot was very inconvenient, far, and costly. The Budget desk was unstaffed when I arrived so I was directed to Avis, which was understaffed. I waited in line for quite a while, then the Budget counter opened up. When I responded to the text to "check in" before I headed to the airport, the system asked for all the details then said the option was unavailable at that time. I tried to call several times, unsuccessfully, to let Budget know I was on my way. Finally the automated voice said my reservation could not be located. I arrived early and had to pick up the car 1.75 hours early. They upgraded the car type and added a full day onto the reservation - my reservation went from $220 to $380 dollars because of being 1.75 hours early. When I returned the car I was sent from the lot to the desk and expected to stand in a 30+ minute line to complete my rental. Instead I handed my sheet of paper to an employee (who asked that I do that instead of waiting in line) and told I would get an email - and it is four days later and I have not yet received an email. I reserved a car and received a confirmation, only to wait in line for over an hour to pick up the car only to be told by the agent that they had no car for me. She said she would call me when they had a car ready and I never received a call.Reviewed 2 Mar 2024
