Pros: Everything.. Specially when I did drop off the car.. It took less than a minute! The price was amazing.. I paid 208 CAD for a Mustang ( insurance included ) for a week.
Cons: You have to drop off your car at the same place you pick it up from (which is YVR) .. Otherwise you have to pay 50 CAD for downtown drop off.

Second time a charm
Pros: Immediate replacement vehicle for faulty/dirty one was a Mitsubishi ute that served quite well. Remember that the 4x4 switch in the center console is easy to inadvertently activate so be careful when temporarily storing items there.
Cons: Initial vehicle had front-left suspension clunk upon pickup and driving around the lot. Was clearly not cleaned or vacuumed.

unable to use music on phone was horrible/painful
Cons: didnt like how there wasn't bluetooth for music though there was the SYNC bluetooth option. also didnt like how there was an AUX plug but no AUX button/setting to use AUX...weird. especially with no satellite radio, FM radio only can be painful.

Pros: Everything was good. I really appreciate that the rep didn't try to upsell me to a bigger car after I told him that my friend is getting a big car already. He helped me check out as quickly as possible as I declined additional insurance (my credit card has coverage).
I had a Ford Edge...no complaints about the car. The return was quick and courteous.
Lastly, a very nice touch to offer hot chocolate as we checked out...unfortunately there was a sip left. Had a bottle of water though...little things like that makes it feel like they actually care about customers. Brownie points there!

Quick & Friendly Service!
Pros: Easy pickup and easy dropoff which is always the best situation!
Cons: No problems whatsoever in the 11 days that we had the car!

Helpful staff, very accommodating
Pros: They charged us than the price that was quoted when we made the reservation. Plus, we had rented a compact car, but the car we were initially assigned had seat stains. When we pointed them out, the staff gave us an upgrade to a larger car for the same price. The staff was also very friendly and eager to make sure everything was okay.
Cons: The only drawback was that the car we rented, a Buick, had small windows and large headrests, so it was difficult to see traffic and pedestrians that weren't in front of us.

Tried to scare tactic us into further insurance.....using anectdotal references. ie. " The last one was total nightmre..the guy had to pay $75 000 out of pocket. Cars get broken into a lot in Vancouver. "
( I live in WA state but grew up in Vancouver. I told him, I know the area and it s bad areas well, we arent going to be in the bad areas and I know how to make a car less..... etc)
We rent about 3 times a years...NEVER experienced this.

Terrible service at YVR Budget
Pros: The car.
Cons: I feel that I was looked after terribly by a trainee. As far as what I've read in Terms & Conditions, what I have to present when renting at the counter is my Driver's License and Credit Card. This is were the terrible service started. I got asked for a 2nd piece of ID with my address on it. Unfortunately, my Passport had expired 7/14 & I was still waiting for my new one. So the trainee proceeds to call AMEX where they asked him for his name. He seemed perturbed that they asked for it. In the end, I don't think he ever got an address confirmation. I did pull out my Utility Bill to confirm my address. In the end, he went through with me signing the papers, but no thank you, nothing! He seemed more annoyed that AMEX asked him for his name.

I learned about Apple Carplay
Pros: It took me a day to figure out, but one of the buttons opened a secret compartment that lets you plugin your iPhone. Once attached, CarPlay pops up and you can use your iPhone's music, maps, phone features. The Apple Maps is much better than any GPS you might be able to rent, it's free (with your phone and data service). No need to sync up your phone and expose all your contacts to the next renter. Unplug and your contacts are removed from the car.
The car itself, Chevy Impala, was a delight to drive.

Costs more than you think
Pros: Car was clean.
Cons: Long, slow line to pick up car. They are not up front on the final costs. My final bill was a lot more than was advertised

Everything great except check-out
Pros: car was everything we needed and most of the rental process went smoothly, especially the call center people we talked to.
Cons: Terrible clerk at YVR facility. Couldn't apply corporate discount, gave vague reasons as to why. Had to make separate reservation with discount applied, and return car next day to take advantage of discount. Probably more of a Kayak problem, but also a rude clerk.

Thank god it wasn't winter
Pros: I liked that the car turned on.
Cons: After getting over lions gate bridge and trying to clean my windows from the insane amount of bugs, I realized no washer fluid was coming out anymore. After further inspection it seems budget decided not to fill up the washer fluid container. I can only imagine how dangerous it would've been if there was salt on the roads and snow.

Worse company ever!!!!!!
Cons: So I got to the counter to pick up the car and they increase the rate times two. I told them that was not what was originally agreed. So I told them no sorry and walked to ALAMO. Stupid company
Pros: Location was near where we were staying so walking over was very convenient. We were upgraded to a 7-seater for free which was a big plus. The car itself only had 3500km on it so pretty much driving a new car. Needed to extend the rental an additional day and had zero problems doing it over the phone.
Cons: I returned the car on a Sunday when they were closed and instructions on how to do that weren't great. Also, there's limited spaces available to drop off the car but I got lucky and grabbed the last one. It would have been great to get some more directions on how to return the car and what happens if there's no spaces available in the parking garage.

Pros: Great Enterprise location with respect to service. A short shuttle drive to the airport.
Cons: Not as convenient as car rentals at airport but short shuttle drive is not too inconvenient. Price and service excellent.

Pros: Car was good. Service was good quick and easy. Very nice feature to have them sell gas for 1.00 a litre as a service with the rental, and the need to not return it with a full tank.
Cons: Location sucks, have to shuttle to and from airport. Everything else pretty good.

Efficient return but drop off area is inconvenient
Pros: The person who reviewed my return was nice and the process was efficient
Cons: Enterprise driver dropped off customers to a lot that is closed to the airport and you have to walk into the airport yourself.
The driver was not friendly and he seemed like a deadbeat who doesn't like his job. A great way to end your journey with Enterprise.
Cons: When I rented the car, I was not informed that it was off-site whereas most of the rental companies are on-site at the Vancouver airport. There are no signs at the airport directing you as to how to get to Ace Car Rental. Turns out it also has a different name (Discount Car Rental) which is not in any of the rental info. The people were friendly at check-in but the process was quite disorganized and chaotic. They also changed the price I had been quoted when I reserved the car. When I showed them the agreement, they wouldn't budge. I guess I should've considered 1 star but they seemed more clueless than nefarious

Cons: Off site pick up with bad hours. Our flight got delayed, we got in after 9:30 pm. They were closed. We had to get a taxi to our hotel. Next morning I had to get the train to them. They wouldn't pick use up or drop off.

Terrible!!!!! Ruined my trip
Cons: I got to the airport after having reserved a car the night before and was told that I had no car reservation because I was within some BS reservation window. I was like, thanks for emailing me or calling me and letting me know that before I got to the airport and apparently they don't "recieve" emails or phones numbers until confirmed. Convenient. This place is a scam you should avoid at all costs
