Pros: The staff were generally friendly. If your looking for a hotel next to a big shopping mall this is the place for you. The breakfast was good.
Cons: We booked a king size room and they tried to put us in a room with two twin beds. Not great when your celebrating your anniversary. After much negotiation they found us a room (~45 min). Once we were settled in the new room it was much better. The room was small and dark. There wasn’t a fan in the washroom. It also needed a good deep cleaning but was clean on the surface.

The staff were absolutely brilliant; they were friendly and accommodating to all of our needs. A special mention to Khun Bow and Khun Dao, who helped to check us in and were so friendly throughout our stay. The location was great too; since it was in the Old City we could walk to most places and access lots. The breakfast was served from 7:00 to 8:00, and you could have it absolutely anywhere, which I thought was simply sublime! Such a great place, would highly recommend!

Cons: The rooms were really small for what we paid, breakfast was poor and not up to its reviews and raves. Service was ok - some people were fantastic while the others where somewhat rude.wish there were more lounge chairs by the pool... The soaps were weird and they make such a big deal about it . They didn't really replenish it. They left our room service outside of our room for more than two days.

Pros: Unbelievable location next to the night bazaar and right off loi kroh road. Amazing shopping and restaurants steps outside, not too mention all the inexpensive massage your body can handle! Hotel staff is super friendly and got greeted with a smile and bow everytime we arrived or left the building. Great value for the price and we would definitely stay again.
Cons: Pool was gorgeous but water was super cold!

Pros: We went here for two nights as part of our honeymoon and boy did they spoil us!! They gave us welcome chocolates fruit wine and then made up our bed with kissing elephants and our bath with flowers. It was beautiful!! Everyone was amazing .

Pros: The security lady at the 1st floor entrance was so kind, truly felt welcomed. The hotel's pool and pool side service is excellent. The staff brings sunscreen, insect repellent, icy water, a few slices of melon and towels as soon as you get to the pool. The location is also decent and the hotel staff at the 2nd floor main entrance did an excellent job of getting us transportation and directing the drivers to the right places.
Cons: The condo next door is being constructed, so we had to bear a constant construction noise at the pool side, but it is not the hotel's fault. The room is not as clean as I would like. The carpet is a bit old and is stained. The room air condition fan noise is loud even at the lowest fan speed setting. The most of the hotel staff did an excellent job of providing good service, but noticed the land of thousand smiles is no where to be found with a few staff.

Cons: Upon check-in we were pushed to upgrade so we could have breakfast included. I've traveled all over Asia and haven't had to pay extra nonetheless made me feel like I was a peasant. The service was average. Tried to fill up the tub for my other half and there were pubic hairs floating around. The room was also cleaned better based on how much tip I left. I had great experiences at other Shangri-La hotels but this wasn't one of them.

Pros: This is in excellent Hotel, the staff is painfully polite and the services were great. The food at the hotel restaurant was excellent
Cons: The shower was a bit funky. It was a huge step up to get into the shower. For some reason the shower is separated by the rest of the room by glass walls, making it viewable from any point in the room. Even more oddly, the privacy for the shower is a set of horizontal blinds located on the outside of the shower. Meaning, someone in the room can walk up and open the blinds and see you using the shower or bathroom. Not that this would happen, but I find that to be very odd, and I've never seen that in my entire life.

Pros: The location of the hotel was ideal for our family with two young girls 8, 10 as enabled us to walk to either the night markets or the Old City. The staff were always willing to assist with tours or a car. If we come back would definitely stay there again

Pros: The pool was great. The location is the best part of Top North - one can walk to 50 Restaruants and bars and you are across the street from the City Moat - so easy to fund you way. It is also on the West side of the city so easy access to Night Market, Thai Boxing and shopping.
Cons: Shower water was room tempreture. No hot water. I didn't eat breakfast after first day. Plenty of options on the street a very short wask.
