Chiang Mai hotels near Buak Haad Park

Cons: We booked a king size room and they tried to put us in a room with two twin beds. Not great when your celebrating your anniversary. After much negotiation they found us a room (~45 min). Once we were settled in the new room it was much better. The room was small and dark. There wasn’t a fan in the washroom. It also needed a good deep cleaning but was clean on the surface.

Cons: Everything ! The fact that they really spoiled us for our honeymoon was amazing!

Cons: The condo next door is being constructed, so we had to bear a constant construction noise at the pool side, but it is not the hotel's fault. The room is not as clean as I would like. The carpet is a bit old and is stained. The room air condition fan noise is loud even at the lowest fan speed setting. The most of the hotel staff did an excellent job of providing good service, but noticed the land of thousand smiles is no where to be found with a few staff.

Cons: Upon check-in we were pushed to upgrade so we could have breakfast included. I've traveled all over Asia and haven't had to pay extra nonetheless made me feel like I was a peasant. The service was average. Tried to fill up the tub for my other half and there were pubic hairs floating around. The room was also cleaned better based on how much tip I left. I had great experiences at other Shangri-La hotels but this wasn't one of them.

Cons: the photos online are cherry picks. the hotel is generic, loud (lots of noise transmission between rooms), water temperature fluctuates an unsafe amount, staff smiles but is unaccomodating. Much better options in this city.

Cons: The shower was a bit funky. It was a huge step up to get into the shower. For some reason the shower is separated by the rest of the room by glass walls, making it viewable from any point in the room. Even more oddly, the privacy for the shower is a set of horizontal blinds located on the outside of the shower. Meaning, someone in the room can walk up and open the blinds and see you using the shower or bathroom. Not that this would happen, but I find that to be very odd, and I've never seen that in my entire life.

Cons: Reception staff were not friendly Andy some even rude.Breakfast was terrible .

Cons: Outdated furniture and bird dropping all over the balcony.

Cons: The decor and furniture is really outdated. The air conditioning is not cold, just blowing warm air. Breakfast is just okay. It's NOT a 4-star hotel. Will not return.

Cons: the room decor is very odd/poor. Breakfast is just ok. I can hear the people yelling from down the street. I wouldn't stat here again.

Cons: We switched rooms because there was mold all over the bathroom, dead bugs in the room along with ants running around everywhere. Hotel caters mainly to Asians. Looks like the hotel in the shinning from the inside.

Cons: Dated, hard bed

Cons: Terrible wifi in the room. Bed was very uncomfortable and outdated. The front desk women were rude and one woman tried to charge me more for a cab than another hotel staff, which is suspicious. Overall very outdated and do not recommend

Cons: We had connected room even though we didn't need two rooms and the noise from the other room was terrible, especially at night. The isolation between the rooms was very poor.

Cons: Pool wasn't in the sun all day and was very cold
