Dalian hotels in Zhongshan

Cons: I called ahead of time to make certain the hotel had non-smoking rooms. They assured us they did. We go there, asked again for a non-smoking room, and were told the 16th fl was non-smoking. But the room had an ashtray and matches in it. When we called the front desk, they said the ashtray was "just for small rubbish." It smelled not just like smoke, but old and dirty. The floor was covered in small pieces of dirt and hair. Housekeeping came in and vacuumed, but their vacuum clearly didn't work. In short, pay more and don't stay here.

Cons: staff's English skills are not up to spec and room service food quality isn't great. The spa is deserted and lacks some attention to detail, but treatments of good quality.
