Our first car had a broken key fob. Returned it and they tried to give me a smaller car that didn't fit everything we had to carry. Had to push for what I rented (mid-sized SUV) but was eventually acommodated. Car was nice, new and clean. Only other issue was the toll pass, they charged me $29 in convenience fees for $16 worth of tolls which is ridiculous.Reviewed 14 Apr 2026

On the paperwork, the rental agreement, it clearly stated to bring the Visa Debit Card used to secure the rental, and pay in advance for the extra Insurance, when picking up the Rental. The Rep at Dollar REFUSED, telling me they DO NOT honour such an agreement and I must use a Credit Card. When my Friend offered His Credit Card, they again REFUSED. We selected the managers special only to find out on arrival that the car was electric. That was a surprise! Our final destination probably wouldn’t have a charging station so we were forced to upgrade at almost double the price. The agent was unapologetic. Fool me once…Reviewed 13 Apr 2026

I’m quite disappointed with the experience. My confirmed booking wasn’t honored, and I had to argue just to get a car. On top of that, the vehicle provided was not in the class I reserved and had a strong smoke smell, indicating it hadn’t been properly cleaned.Reviewed 12 Apr 2026

I requested the manager's special, which turned out to be a Tesla. I've never driven a Tesla so was interested, but uncertain about where to find a charger in town. Went out to the car and the door wouldn't open, so that took care of that. The trouble was walking back and forth through 6" of slush to the lot and back, then back to the car to see if they could open the door, then back to the desk, then back to another car. Not Dollar's fault, really, but pretty inconvenient. Otherwise, Sask airport rental parking is pretty simple as far as pickup and dropoff.Reviewed 11 Apr 2026

counter agent said my agreement with them not valid and required a new contract, more money, lesser car. I was most upset and eventually allowed to see another agent who did finally get me the car agreed upon at the agreed price. They have subsequently increased my fuel option charge beyond agreement. Well priced car rental. But very confusing with all the different insurances. Thought I added it in when securing the car. But that was not recognised at Dollar car rental. So the insurance purchased at the counter cost me as much as the rental itself.Reviewed 8 Apr 2026
