We reserved a mid-sized SUV weeks in advance and when we arrived at ABQ there were none available. The agent offered us a smaller one, which would not fit our luggage and when we said that would not work offered us a full-sized SUV at a premium price, then charged us $15/day so for an extra driver. The Jeep BTW is a miserable car to drive & park. Its ser interfaces were arcane and confusing. We were gouged and will never use Dollar again.

Our flight was delayed, which caused us to arrive after they closed at 5pm. Our original rental was scheduled to be picked up at 4 pm, which only left us an hour to pick up. Our rental was valid for pick up for 24 hours after our original pickup time, due to the flight delay. The manager at this Dollar location refused to rent us the car, citing "he couldn't do anything as he rented the vehicle out and he was busy." Never in my life have I ever had such atrocious customer service. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card, who assured me this was absolutely not policy and that I would be getting my money refunded. We had to spend over $150 for a last minute car rental after Dollar left us high and dry. Thankfully Alamo's customer service and value far exceeded this experience. I will never rent with Dollar ever again.

It was a horrible 45-50 minutes in line to pick Up the car. Then they said it would be another 45-60 minutes until a car is ready. We had to upgrade to get a vehicle. Kinda like a bait and switch. Be careful.

I rented with kayak a honda civic or like car and when I got to Portland Dollars rental agent was giving me a spark which is smaller.i said no and she said they had no cars my size and had to charge me another $100.00 fir the sane size car I was suppose to get and said they only had hybrid left and they cost more..I feel this was not right and I have rented from Dollar before and this has never happened before. Not happy with dollar rent a car.. but kayak was fine setting up the rental online. And it was done 4 to 6 weeks before I traveled...

The car was released with a temporary plate sticker on the back window + notable front end damage and unbalanced wheels, which were shaking/vibrating above 60 mph, return was smooth.

Dealer cancelled my reservation the day before because they were sold out. I was traveling a great distance and had to juggle to figure out a way to get to my destination. In the end Enterprise came through and they now have my business.

Our flight was delayed by one day, but the guy I spoke with reassured this was no problem, deducted one day from the rental charge, and even changed the pick up location. Fantastic service
