This was our fourth visit to Botley Park. We stay there because we enjoy the comfort of the bedroom and the food in the dining room

The Bar prices. I can buy a ltr of whisky for what I paid for two singles at Botley Park!

We had a very good break here, staff were friendly, room was a little small but was clean, food was really good and the staff in the restaurant were really lovely. Bit overpriced but we had a nice time so we were happy.

Uncomfortable beds. No decent tv. Swimming pool out of use. Small rooms.

Good location nice gym and small pool a good hotel for business or leisure.I was however charged twice on my credit card and this was resolved by the management

Food was expensive considering the local restaurants that were available in the area. GBP13.50 for breakfast seems on the high side when the IBIS Hotel was half of that price

After ordering pancakes for breakfast, asking 3 different staff members to check for them and waiting 1 hour still not to receive them, total shambles

It is well placed, the staff were welcoming and the facilities were good. The rooms were well equipped

There is a fair amount of noise thruogh the night from the motorways but if you want easy access to the motorways, that is the price you pay. It was unpleasantly noisy but more a good excuse for an insomniac

Warm, clean, confortable, friendly, welcoming. Huge free car-park. Good food, excellent service. Nice breakfast.

Comfort, cleanlinness and welcoming staff.

We are from the US and spent 17 days in Europe. We chose this hotel because we were a little tired of big cities (although this was a bit of the beaten path) and the rooms/beds were larger then others (we have three kids). The pillows are the best! And breakfast was divine (read - huge!).

Jacuzzi was tiny (fit three people only) and freezing (maybe around 93 degrees F) ... Sauna and steam room were nice though.

I was on a bike trip and looked for a hotel near Southampton. Kayak gave me this option and I booked it. While location field said "Welcome Break Service Area, Southampton" it was 53 miles away from Southampton. I realized that then asked google maps for directions right after booking. Immediately I let them know about the mistake. Their answer was that I must pay anyway.

Friendliness of staff and cleanliness

services- there was no internet connection or phone signal in my room and this is a major problem for me on a bisiness trip

First room had (147) some intermittent mechanical noise but I requested move and they complied

Room was large, well appointed and clean. More than I needed for the night, but recommended to me and with a late arrival I preferred a traditional hotel.

Bar was very busy at times, felt the staffing level at these times were a bit down, causing embarrasment to your staff who were doing their best to support your guests and keep the beer flowing

This hotel is excellently situated if you are going on a cruise and want to be relatively near the docks. West Quay shopping centre two minutes walk away. Hotel also has own large car park. Food and service in hotel restaurant is very good. Would definitely stay there again.

This is one of the most unique hotels that I have ever had the experience of visiting. The history of the property is fascinating - originally part of the White Star Line, to whom the Titanic belonged. The staff could not have been any more accommodating! This hotel is a keeper!

Exceptionally noisy. Dirty linen. Had to go and find the receptionist in the bar. I cannot fathom how this place managed to get a 5 star rating. Perhaps I should have been warned by the "tavern" in the name.

I thought that the room did not reflect the price charged. It was more Travel Lodge standards which is a clean and basic room. We were disappointed.

The lounge area was wonderfully comfortable with a superb fireplace back drop and comfy chairs.

The bedroom was very cold

The treatments I had in the Spa were the best parts of my stay. However, I did find the staff very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was great!

Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the room service at all - extremely slow (nearly 40 mins to bring a sandwich!), the sandwich had no wholegrain mustard mayo in it (which was on the menu), and the chips I'd ordered to go with them were only half cooked. Also, I found the bed extremely hard, so didn't get much sleep.

Excellent location for transit to cruise ships, rooms well presented, food of a high standard, staff relations good.

Well appointed room with modern decor. Spacious bathroom with good shower. Liked the finishing touches of bathrobes and slippers. All staff polite and attentive and would definetely stay again at the reduced rate of £100 per night. Had lunch in the restaurant and it was very good. Would recommend.

Liked everything! Having Stayed in Southampton hotels before (but not this one) I think other hotelliers could learn from these standards of comfort and cleanliness. Perhaps price could include continental breakfast.

Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. Cost was brilliant really good value for money.

Very few T.v channels, parking is additional cost and ticket did not work properly.

Hotel staff were ineficient, poor attention to clients. Both check in & check out were incorrectly handled.Breakfast food was poor & the service very poor.

Older renovated hotel with parking close to but not in city center. Had old hotel charm with modern room updates.

Very helpfull staff, and excellent evening dinner, also liked the unusual design if the hotel and rooms.

The hotel is novel with it's jungle theme, proximity to Marwell Zoo and the surrounding woodland and chalet style accommodation. The room was large and comfortable.

The decor was a little tired and the bathroom well-worn. But it was clean.
