Pros: The rooms were great. The shower was fantastic.
Pros: We love having the shuttle service available in a 5 mile radius. Room is very comfortable. I feel at home whenever we stay at the Elrment Harrison.
Cons: We wish the pool was heated. Also, we wish that the breakfast hours were extended. Wish there was a convenience store opened nearby.
Cons: not told shuttle no later than 10:30. Flight late. Arrived after. Shuttle not on time for return.
Pros: The room was looked amazing, big bed, bathroom shower was beautiful LOVE the soap they have.
Cons: The construction site view
Pros: I loved everything! It was truly a pleasure to stay here, great price, great location, comfortable stay. What more can you ask for...
Cons: That I just found this place.
Pros: I liked the fact that the rooms were updated and modern. There was nothing that was not available that you would need in the room itself. Very clean and smells like green tea. Everything that was offered was natural or organic. Beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was wonderful. They rain shower head was a great added bonus.
Cons: We stayed on the 3rd floor not much of a view. You heard the train pass by but it was not overwhelming, but I'm from the city so I'm used to it I guess. The the electrical panel box was located in the hallway of the room within a child's reach and it was not locked so I'd be very careful with children alone in the rooms with being so exposed
Pros: this is newly open, we believe there is no bedbug infestation yet.....
Cons: cleaning people are not guided on when customers are checking out....they did not clean our room until we requested them during the night......they came back the following morning asking us if we want the room clean (that was the day we are checking out).......
no shops around the area

Pros: Small boutique hotel across from the galloping hill golf course where we attended a wedding. The hotel charged me 2x twice for two of the rooms booked. Horrible experience with unprofessional staff.
Pros: Very clean. Very nice modern rooms. Great value for the money. My only negative was that it was a very narrow path between bed and desk but it wasn't a big deal.
Pros: I loved this hotel. Very clean, nice staff at front desk, perfect location and I loved the decor.
Cons: The only problem I had while staying here was every morning housekeeping woke me up with their very loud conversations in the hallways. There was even some shouting.
Pros: Great staff: when I was stranded after a bus mishap they went the extra mile to get a shuttle to me.
Very accessible from Newark airport.
Cons: Remodel has front lobby and breakfast area torn up, giving even more of an industrial feel than the hotel already had.
Pros: Our double queen room was updated , clean , and very comfortable for us . Staff was friendly and supportive when the printer wasn't able to print my boarding pass . Location was ideal !
Cons: Lobby tables were rickety.
Pros: Very nice room! They did a very good job on the remodeling of this hotel. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again.
Cons: Would like to see a better breakfast selection. No protein. Everything was carbs and sugar. Did a very nice job of setting it up though. Also, outside in the parking lot, someone had just dumped their trash in the parking lot. Not the hotel's fault, but it is a shame that this kind of element would be staying here.

Pros: I was only there one night but I was very comfortable. When I needed questions answered the staff was cheerful and very helpful. Breakfast was great too.
Pros: Very friendly staff. Close to NJ Transit and PATH into NYC. Great diner nearby. Great breakfast in the lobby.
Cons: Only flaw was that it is on a flight path for planes taking off and leaving, so occasionally you hear a plane, but just once in a while. And not overly loud
Pros: We chose Hampton Riverwalk for its location, and it truly worked out exactly, and really, even better, than we expected! LOVED having the shuttle service from the airport, then each day to and from the Penn Station! Your drivers were Great, and made our nervousness about maneuvering through the Rapid Transit in New Jersey/New York, a good experience. Thank you!
Cons: Hotel was full when we arrived, so instead of double Queen beds they gave us King bed. When I asked for rollaway bed, they had none as well, so I had to sleep on a chair.
In the morning I spoke to manager who told me to open a HHonors account so that he can give me some points. I tried to contact him multiple times, but no response.
Nice way to treat your long time customers! Will go elsewhere next time.

Pros: The staff were all very nice, and extremely helpful. In addition, the beds were very nice and firm.
Cons: The breakfast was really revolting. In addition, the AC doesn't work in a lot of the rooms. I had to switch rooms, and got a box fan for my room.
Pros: Friendly staff and super clean environment.
Pros: Curtesy van was great. Picked me up at linden airport and shuttled me to the linden train station several times in 2 day. Always on time. Rooms were clean and complementary breakfast was good. I will stay here again.
Pros: Rooms were clean and comfortable. Location is close to airport, food and shopping.
Cons: The front desk lied and said late check out was not available because all the rooms were booked for the next day. There were rooms available to book via Kayak as well as the Hampton Inn website. My flight was not until 3:45. I had to sit at the airport for hours.
Pros: Excellent staff, comfortable beds, and a clean facility
Cons: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION ! I should have checked this one out on the maps before booking, it is next to what has to be one of the busiest intersections in NJ, heavy traffic kept me up Little to no sleep at all. The airport is the least of your worries when there is a drag strip of an intersection out front.
Pros: Staff was top notch, very helpful and courteous, very comfortable quiet air conditioned rooms.
Cons: Ice machine on top floor was broke down. No one had a note saying it was out of service.
op blanket was lumpy from stuffing separating from cloth, kind of annoying.

Pros: Everyrhubg was great above average on all things.. Great service and room service food was beyond great..
Cons: One very rude women that was a clerk at the front desk about 3am in the morning needs to be fired. I don't want to give the hotel a bad review because of her. I asked about the shuttle and all were more than happy to call the bus driver. They said tell us when you are ready.. I walked outside and came back in and there was another clerk there. I said you can call the shuttle driver now please, I'm ready. She answered very ugly and rude sharp '' when I have time I will'' there were no customers at the desk. No reason that I should have been treated like that. I just thought to myself welcome to new jersey where all the rude selfish people in the world live and blew it off. But what needs to be realized is that people like this on staff there will cause this great hotel to lose customers.
Pros: Amazing location adjacent to terminals
Cons: Prices are similar to Midtown Manhattan
Pros: Hotel staff was nice, room was clean and not noisy.
Cons: Restaurant staff were terrible. Can't be described as nice which is in sharp contrast to the hotel staff
Pros: The rooms and staff were nice
Cons: The shuttle service was very poor. Understaffed shuttle service for people trying to make flights. If you are going to use mini-vans, you need to have more of them, or have bigger shuttles on stand-by.
Pros: They set up a pack and play and refrigerator. Huge win!
Cons: No bellman to bring our bags up. We had to push the luggage cart ourselves. The restaurant was initially rude when I asked to take food upstairs (to my husband and sleeping daughter). I was surprised that this was supposed to be "in" the airport but it still required a van to access. They will not direct you to a walking path. The van was included (nice) but the driver refused to go to the premier counter, leaving us to lugg baby and bags up multiple flights. Not as easy as for a solo business traveller
Pros: Great bed, nice room layout, very quiet and dark which was nice for sleeping. If you close the curtains you will not be able to tell you are essentially in an airport.
Cons: Restaurant was okay -- not bad, not great. A bit expensive for the quality.
Pros: Got in at midnight and still able to grab a quick bit in the restaurant/lounge! Staff was great and never made us feel rushed.
Pros: Lobby and restaurants remodeled.
You can walk to terminals but a shuttle is provided.
Best place you can stay when departing from EWR.
Pros: A shout-out to the Newark Airport Marriott for their excellent customer service. Having taken a red-eye and landing in Newark at 5:55 yesterday morning, we went straight to the Marriott, not necessarily to check in, but to have them be aware that we were there, because we knew we wouldn't be back to use it until around midnight. The night clerk decided just to check us in early, at 6:30 a.m. We never went to the room, but left for our day in NJ and NY (and Neal Gottlieb 's Survivor viewing party, which was attended by so many relatives and friends). When we returned to the Marriott just past midnight, we attempted to print our board passes for this morning. When that didn't work, the same night clerk offered to try during the night and have them for us in the morning. Great. We went to our assigned room, and when we opened the door, we saw it was a wreck. It had not been cleaned at all. So it was a trip back to our now favorite night clerk. After explaining the situation, a supervisor got involved. We received an apology, and an upgrade to an executive suite which included a full breakfast. Thank you, Marriott!
Pros: The bed was comfy and divine! Check out time was noon.
Cons: Service fell short. Shuttle took 40 minutes to arrive; I had to call twice. Massive plane delays brought me in at 3 a.m. and it was not fun waiting yet again. First room shown smelled to me of smoke; no problem about changing rooms. However, she said she would slip a new room key under the door while i could sleep (almost 4 a.m. by now) and she did not. It was easier to not leave the room when I woke (bc very tired) then to deal with trying to get a new key to my room when I would be checking out soon. I left hotel at 11:30ish a.m. without coffee but showered.
Pros: The place was very clean and nice, and very professional looking.
Cons: If you're not a posh business person, it isn't the best. We made the mistake of ordering Dominos to the room, and the hotel was obviously not very happy about "fast food" coming. First of all, they gave the delivery person a hard time and accused her of not really having customers here and being shady, before they finally called my room. Once I confirmed we had indeed ordered pizza, they wouldn't even let the delivery person come into the hotel, and I had to go outside to meet them.
Cons: Had to pay for computer access in business suite, no free TV channels…..everything was promotional.

Pros: The gentle man at the front desk was the absolute sweetest and most helpful person i've ever had the pleasure of working with. I stay at many hotels, and none the less I know that any Marriot hotel i've stayed at is built to work at its finest, but this gentleman went above and beyond to assist me and make sure we were comfortable. He helped me not only get a clean room quickly where I could put away my things and freshen up (since I had arrived much earlier than check in and had an event I needed to get to) but and when incurring a problem (When I thought I lost my ID and Debit Card) was helpful in helping me find it. It a shame on my part that with my terrible memory, I cannot remember his name. He was a caucasian male, in his late 20s promoting some football event, I believe, with a green shirt. My sister, A friend and I were attending a concert later that evening so we only booked the hotel for a one night stay in NJ, but with personnel like him and the cleanliness and professionalism of both the lobby as well as our hotel room itself, I felt like I should've stayed longer had I not already booked the rest of trip at the Ritz in Manhattan. Very satisfied. Definitely will be coming back again.
Pros: Surprisingly being next to a hockey stadium on a game night it was very quiet. We specifically asked for the quietest side of the hotel not facing the Broad Road. That might has to do with the quietness, and the floor was not so busy. The room was generally clean except the shower floor I can see black dirt residue. The front desk was curteous.
Cons: We didn't like that there was no parking or rather we needed to pay an additional $21! Tax was quite high already on top of the rate. I wish the parking could have been covered or a bit less than 21.
Cons: The hotel is very hard to get to. There is no space to pull up to check in. The parking garage is extremely expensive, and when I arrived the staff had such thick accents I couldn't understand anything they were saying.
Pros: the bathroom was perfect, the bed and the comforter were very comfortable, and the tv was a great size and quality
Cons: the food downstairs was way too expensive and there wasnt any kind of complimentary breakfast.
Pros: The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very good. Joe's crab shack is right next door as well.
Cons: The area is not very good. Went for a walk in the afternoon and felt very uncomfortable. Had to pay for parking as well.

Pros: easily accessible to highways
Good, free breakfast
Clean room AND bathroom
Cons: Thought we could have a view of the water, instead we saw the bldgs
Pros: Really good sty at Comfort Suites. The front desk ladies and the shuttle driver were really helpful, courteous and really nice.
A few things that I want to mention:
1- I requested a corner room, of which I got. But, there was something wrong with the ceiling paneling in the bathroom and the actual panels in the ceiling flapped up and down during the my stay. It was a little annoying but bearable.
2- There was a long hair on the bedding under he shirts when I pulled back the covers. I wasn't grossed out but still, not a good look overall.
3- A huge plus was there was a balcony sliding door that opened and I was able to get a view of the city and fresh air. I really enjoyed that.
4- The bed was extremely comfortable, I slept like a baby,
Cons: In a room next to a party group that had loud music and talks until 5am. Called reception, they would send "security" to tell them to stop but nothing happened
Pros: I liked everything about this hotel, it is very reasonable price wise, staff is very pleasant I word reccomend this hotel to any and every one
Cons: There's nothing I disliked about this location, The only thing I did dislike was I didn't see public transportation that could take me to Newark Penn Station wanted to go to NYC via the Path train
Staff very nice at the check inn an out.
Hotel very quiet, not noise b good sleeping environment.
Pros: close to NYC except with traffic could be 1 hr
Cons: no working ice machines. no gym or pool.
Pros: Hotel didn't have our reservation. They were sold out
Pros: The room was big and spacious. Very roomy. Also had a a extra space that has 2 seater couch to entertain guest.
Cons: On my first night. The room was dirty has there was hair in the bathroom and leaving room area. The tiled floors felt sticky. After I complained, it was cleaned but yet it was not an excellent job as I could still see hairs but very minimal.

Cons: No hot water in bathroom sink and room heater was not working...switching rooms not an option because hotel was fully booked
Cons: We experience a problem with our room which we brought to the attention of the weekend night manager The Weeknd manager change the room immediately she informed me that a manager would be contacting me to address my concerns about the room which did not happen. On checkout I brought my concerns up to the front desk manager which in short blamed me for the problem with the room

Pros: The pillows were amazing! Most comfortable pillows ever. Room clean, simple, functional, roomy. There's a shuttle that picks you up at airport and takes you to the airport.
Pros: Quiet. Beautiful
Cons: Roadway access is a little complicated.
Pros: Service was top-notch, from the concierge, the shuttle drivers, housekeeping, all staff was sincere in making your stay most comfortable, also generally seemed happy to work which makes for good vibes all around. Very convenient shuttle service to Newark airport. Pretty good breakfast.
Cons: No bar (kind of a drag for most adults), soda machines were not stocked and were also faulty, location is not the best since there's not much around but is close to the airport.
Pros: The room was spacy
Cons: The front desk put me on hold for 7 minutes, come back and ask to put me on hold again. I hung up. Front desk absent for 5-10 on check out at 450am. Front desk needs to be retrained
Pros: There is no noise from outside creeping in or from people in the hallways. The bed is very comfortable. The price is right.
Cons: Food selection at breakfast is very limited. No other meals are available at the property and it is inconvenient to find a restaurant nearby. Parking fees are high.
Pros: The staff , breakfast and pool
Cons: The location kinda tricky
Pros: Convenient shuttle to the airport
They provided me with take out menus for nearby delivery
I ordered delivery from a nearby Italian restaurant and they delivered it right to my hotel room door.
Nice indoor pool and jacuzzi
Cons: There is no bar or restaurant in this hotel you have to walk down a road where there is no sidewalk to get to the Courtyard Marriot which is a short walk but 2 doors down to get to the food and bar. Menu and bar is extremely small.
Pros: Overall the hotel was beautiful. The room was very spacious and neat. My stay was very pleasant.
Cons: The jacuzzi was out of order and the pool water appeared to be dirty. I didn't like that you have to pay for parking if you booked a room and that you only have 1 hour of free parking.
Pros: Everything, microwave and fridge were available without extra charge, relaxing atmosphere and i felt safe in the environment.
Cons: No dislikes here.
Pros: clean comfortable and roomy...really nice breakfast
Pros: Upon arrival we found a spacious room which was very clean and updated furniture with comfortable double beds. Microwave and mini fridge were included as well as free parking. The free breakfast was nothing fancy but was adequate and got the job done. I was happy to find my favorite Kashi cereal, but the coffee wasn't to my liking. Overall I would definitely book this room again.

Pros: Front desk staff was friendly and told us the easiest way to get to nyc.
Cons: There seemed to be a lack of staff in the dining area. The 2 different young men who waited on us were okay but seemed unsure of what they were doing. Which would have been fine if the prices werent so outrageous. If you are expecting guests to pay that amount for 2 appetizers, I would be sure to have appropriate staff to wait on them.
Cons: No consideration for guests
Pros: We really liked how close the hotel was to the airport. The shuttle between the airport and the hotel was about 5 minutes.
Cons: If you're not used to road noise you may have difficulty sleeping
Pros: location and the fact it had onsite Restaurant
Pros: Front desk staff and hotel shuttle driver were fantastic. Room service was prompt and thorough.
Pros: Love how close to New York and how easy was to get on and off the highway.
Cons: The water pressure was low.
Cons: The very unhelpful staff. Expensive prices at the restaurant and the parking.

Cons: Bathrooms could have been cleaned a bit better. Seemed to have hairs (not ours) in some areas.
Pros: Despite the fact that we were moved to another hotel without prior notice they ensured that all transportation and amenities were covered by them.
Cons: We were told that we were going to be switched out to another hotel the minute I checked in, despite the fact that I had confirmed my reservation the previous night with kayak and the hotel the day before.
Pros: Easy access to trains, Amtrak & PATH. Food was good. Service very good. Staff very good and nice. Very secure.
Cons: The room door was slightly off kilter so it made a lot of noise when shutting
Cons: No running water. Not advertised at the time of booking although they knew there was a scheduled outage for repairs. Had to check out, get reimbursed and go to another hotel upon learning that there was no running water at check in.
Pros: We enjoyed how large the rooms were for the price we paid. Also conveniently located next to Penn Station.
Pros: Comfortable bed nice staff
Cons: Needs to be renovated in areas
Pros: The bed was comfortable and stay was good.
Cons: Don't order order room service . The food was terrible.
Pros: I did like the access to the New Jersey Transit and airport. There are some resturants and shops in the building to pick up anything needed. The hotel staff was very nice and helpful to any questions we had.
Cons: I did not like a few things in our room, such as, no place to hang a hand towel, the sink counter was badly cracked with a poor fix job, and the hair dryer was very old and weak. It seemed as a left over from another guest. The safety is questionable. I was there with my husband and felt okay but we both felt uncomfortable at times. I would not recommend staying alone or walking the streets at night. If you are there to visit NYC, I highly recommend staying in the city over NJ. With the cost of transportation and time back and forth, you waste time and money.
Pros: Clean, very close to train station. Don't expect to check in before 3pm.
Cons: Breakfast in the restaurant was terrible. Got the corn beef hash... by far the worse I've ever had.... tremendously overpriced for the quality of food.
You will hear the honking from the traffic until approx. 10pm.
The area surrounding the hotel is not nice... I would recommend not walking around much.
Pros: It's quite convenient, although the area isn't great.
Cons: Staff was rude. They need to learn how to smile because their vibe was negative.
Pros: Location inside pen station.
Room with good view over penn station and beyond to the airport
Good let luggage
Cons: I had to wait one and a half hours for the shuttle despite ringing three times. When I told te reception staff they showed little interest and didn't apologise although they did offer a free breakfast. Generally the staff were uninterested and I didn't feel valued as a customer

Pros: Airport shuttle is every 30 min right on time! Staff is friendly! Clean rooms and bathroom. Everything that you expect from Marriott
Cons: only thing I would add is a water fountain by the ice machine.
Pros: Liked the room, balcony, pool and fitness room
Cons: Too difficult to get to, walls were very thin and you have to pay for breakfast and coffee.

Cons: Very thin wall. You can hear what your neighbor is doing.
Bathroom poorly made. After you take shower, it is wet everywhere.
Pros: I grew up living in Newark and I remember it being a bank many years ago. Very nice upgrade.
Cons: There no face towels in my bath when I jumped in the shower. That sucks.
Pros: I loved the style of the hotel and how clean it was and all of the updates it had and everything.
Cons: The only thing that turned me off was the staff. Although super nice they are SUPER lazy. I have gone to plenty of other hotels and when I ask for something they send someone up to the room with it. Nope not these people, he told me to come down to the desk and get it myself unless I wanted to wait a while. (I was also on the 11th floor and just got back from a 6 hour car ride, but I went down there anyway) overall I don't think this room was worth what I paid for especially because it is in such a bad area. There are plenty of other hotels that are just as clean and are cheaper.
Pros: The view was gorgeous and the room had some nice, high tech features. I enjoyed the clean style.
At the Hotel Indigo® Newark Downtown hotel you’ll notice a unique connection between our boutique hotel and the neighborhood. Our building was erected in 1912 and designed by Cass Gilbert as the National State Bank; we still honor these roots today with a front desk created from reclaimed teller desks and by integrating the original bank vault into our restaurant’s design. With exposed brick beautiful windows and unique loft configurations our refreshing guest rooms all feature décor and artwork that reflect the neighborhood’s spirit of innovation and invention. Our restaurant Alva invents dishes full of local flavor while our Skylab bar features freshly prepared cocktails all just one block from the Prudential Center and a short walk to the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC).
Cons: difficulty getting to it. Staff not really friendly. Too dark
Pros: I stayed in this hotel twice during January 2017. The hotel has a good location, it is close to the airport, the neighborhood seems safe, and the shopping area is not too far. It has an acceptable shuttle service to the airport. The rooms are spacious and their beds are comfortable.
Cons: During my first stay of three days, the room was cleaned just once. When I inquired the reason, a woman receptionist explained that when you stay there for a few days the housekeeping personnel “sometimes” skip a day of cleaning. She said that she was alone, that all housekeeping personnel was gone for the day and the manager was out as well. She offered no other explanation and her attitude was of an upset person. As if I was annoying her with my problem. When I returned the second time, I complained to a supervisor, he apologized and said that the mentioned receptionist was wrong, adding that unless I had a “do not disturb” sign on the room door, there was no reason to not have skipped its cleaning. He also gave me a couple of vouchers to compensate for my aggravation. I suggest to closely supervise and train that receptionist to make her understand that clients are needed to pay her salary and they deserve to be treated with respect.
Pros: Our room was very nice and the bed and bedding was very comfortable. It was a very quiet stay.
Pros: The room was very large and quite attractive. The bedding was excellent and we had a great rest before and after our travel overseas.
Cons: Nothing at all!
Pros: Clean, fast shuttle, good breakfast.
Pros: Clean, comfortable rooms, decent food and drinks, timely shuttle to the airport, great price. Better than a park and fly hands down! What more could you ask for!
Pros: Very nice room and very friendly staff. Free shuttle to and from airport. Nice rate. Coffee and muffins were available at 4:30 am.
Cons: Other guests were extremely loud- banging doors and yelling in the hall the entire night. It kept waking us up. Our wake up call rang at 3:40 instead of 4:40. We reserved a shuttle and one of the drivers never showed for work; so at 4:50 on the morning there were four families trying to get to the airport for our flights. The driver was very, very nice but one family was forced to stay behind.
Pros: The bed!! So comfortable. Also I left my luggage on the shuttle, and they were very helpful in facilitating my getting it back.
Cons: The plane was late, and the shuttle took much too long to pick up.
Pros: I liked the customer service! Carlos was our waiter one evening and he was so sweet and friendly. The shuttle drivers were also wonderful. Friendly, professional and very nice!! The breakfast was very good also.
Cons: The only thing I didn't like was that my bed was not made one day by housekeeping and the did not replenish the coffee nor did they remove the melted ice from the ice bucket. I was very disappointed in that part of the service since, as a mom, I do look forward to going to a hotel to be a little spoiled. I didn't complain to the front desk since the rest of the hotel experience was wonderful!!! All in all I would go there again.
Cons: I reserved king but I got two twin/double, I did not bother to change when I realized in my room
Cons: better parking.
Pros: Free shuttle service between EWR and hotel, both ways. Staff was friendly and helpful. I had a room on the 6th floor, it had a vaulted ceiling which was lovely. Clean luxurious sheets, beds were comfortable with pillow options. Plenty of space. Large mini fridge in the room. Convenient, Way better than sleeping on the floor of EWR.
Cons: Wifi did not work. Elevator incredibly slow. Air quality in my room was not great, was pretty stale and overpowered by air freshener. The windows were not openable to add fresh air. Food in the restaurant is subpar, with virtually no clean eating options. There are no other food options in the area, as the hotel is located amidst train tracks, gates, car parks and rental lots that seem to stretch to forever. $2 for a small bottle of Poland Springs bottled water in the vending machine.

Cons: The first room smelled like cigarettes and was tiny. But the second was nice
Pros: Stayed for 4 nights for the 2016 Star Trek convention in NYC. No regrets. Staff was friendly and helpful. Convenient, free parking. Clean, comfortable room. Good breakfast. Walking distance to Newark Penn Station. Reasonably safe urban neighborhood. Easy access to NYC via PATH or NJ Transit. Price compared to NYC hotels. My room had a nice view. Was able to park the full day after I checked out.
Cons: Elevators malfunctioned one morning (this was a huge annoyance). Area around hotel closes very early (no good restaurants, convenience stores, etc).
Pros: Every thing
Pros: The location is very close to train stations and the free parking is a very nice perk. If they run out of parking they will park it for you.
The elevator is simply amazing. It sounds like such a little thing but it is really fast and they don't shut them down on off hours so you're never waiting for one.
Cons: As other guests mentioned the A/C doesn't work very well. If you turn it all the way to cold (past the temp settings) it will get comfortable after about 30 minutes.
The bed is very lumpy and extremely uncomfortable.
Pros: We were very well , near restaurants, quiet place, very good breakfast and free parking........................................
Pros: Downtown location, close to restaurants and activities. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff
Pros: Rooms updated but small, adequate for my business needs. Onsite restaurant, excellent food and service but is pricey.
Cons: Parking is free, good news, finding a parking spot can be difficult but attendant is helpful, may have to park 1/2 block away.
Pros: Location & Price are great! Good breakfast included with hotel stay.
Cons: Had to switch rooms b/c of a grainy picture in tv and shower stopping up. Also, b/c of warmer temperatures during this winter season the hotel decids no to offer heat in the rooms...WTF? IT STILL WAS COLD AT NIGHT!
Pros: Good location for getting into NYC. The breakfast was pretty good. Employees were very friendly. Room was clean.
Cons: Bathroom door did not close and some of the walls had paint/wallpaper peeling off. Vending machines were all either non-functioning, didn't take bills, or were not well-stocked. We ordered a cheese pizza when we got in for a quick bite to eat and it was possibly the worst pizza I've ever had, especially from a restaurant. A frozen pizza would have been better. Our neighbors rolled in around 2 AM and were loud and woke us and kept us up until about 5:30 - 6AM when we finally had to call the front desk to ask them to do something about it and even then it still took a while for them to quiet down.
Pros: - Good complimentary breakfast
- Decent gym facilities
- Convenient free shuttle to the train station and airport
- WiFi fairly fast and reliable
Cons: I was put on a floor that was renovating (maybe all floors were renovating). As a result, the entire floor looked really run down, it smelled like paint, and it was loud.
Cons: I asked for a "quiet" room and ended up next door to a group of women who were clapping, cheering, and in general having a good time. I don't mind people having fun but at 1:00 in the morning I really wanted to get some sleep.
Pros: I had low expectations based on reviews, but rooms were clean and spacious and recently renovated. Wifi worked fine for me. Staff were friendly and attentive. Good value for the money. Maybe I just got lucky this time, but nonetheless I'd stay again. Fine for a night.
Cons: The area is a bit dicey, but not so much so that it should prevent you from walking to the train station, etc.
The Best Western Plus Robert Treat Hotel is the perfect setting for your organization's next meeting or social function. We offer six fully-equipped conference rooms, each capable of accommodating groups up to 50 people. Five banquet rooms accommodate larger groups including the impressive Tri-State Ballroom, largest in the region capable of seating up to 1,500. Enjoy your stay.
Cons: Staff was super rude. Room was dirty. Absolutely disgusting
Pros: The location to the airport is good. The rooms were just okay.
Cons: The parking was ridiculous. They did not have enough spots for how many people were there. I can't believe you have to pay for parking when there was not even enough parking to park there. Spent a lot of time driving around the parking lot and parking just where our vehicle would fit....usually no actual parking spots but rather parked on grass or in non parking area and left vehicle there. We asked for towels one night and never got them. The walls are very thin and we could here everything going on in the rooms and hallway. The rooms were not all that clean and the pillows were terrible. I would not stay here again.
Cons: - rooms were dirty
- bad room odour
Pros: Helpful staff. Great food at Teds!
Cons: The shabby leather chairs in reception don't reflect the overall quality of the hotel.
Cons: Apathetic, robotic staff that did nothing to accommodate traveler that encountered a major issue
Cons: Parking was not included
Pros: The room was clean. It appears to have been upgraded and the AC was good.
If you are there to work, it's quiet and a good place to stay as long as you are willing to put up with the staff's poor attitude.
Cons: The staff was extremely rude.
The fridge did not work and when I reported it to the desk clerk she asked "So... do you want me to send someone to fix it?" Really?! I wonder what she thought was the reason I told them it wasn't working and my drinks were warm.
After reporting it three times I finally got maintenance in the room at 9:30 PM, the guy said he'd be back in 10 minutes and never came back. The next day I saw someone in the hallway and told him, he came over and brought a new fridge. More than 24 hours after I first asked for it to be fixed or replaced.
I found all the staff to be rude and unwilling to help with the most simple request.
There are no restaurants around so you are stuck paying an insulting high price for everything you eat or drink.
The breakfast buffet is 14.95 plus tax and you have eggs, sausage and potatoes as "hot" food; fruit and french toast and muffins. Don't expect more.
Pros: I liked that it had shuttle
Cons: No pool or jacuzzi for the prize
Pros: We arrived much later than expected at Newark Airport. Fortunately for us, their airport transportation runs 24 hours. Called the front desk a couple of times about the transportation and they were always nice. It was also good to see a 24 hour pantry stocked with some pretty decent quality foods and baked goods, as all the airport concessions had closed with our late arrival. Our room was clean, modern, and nicely appointed. Overall, would highly recommend this hotel.
Cons: Food in aforementioned pantry was a bit pricey. Bathroom fixtures needed some repair, but admittedly I forgot to tell them when I checked out. Location of the hotel not the greatest if you want to walk out of hotel grounds.
Pros: Close to Airport , Friendly staff, Good restaurant
Cons: WIFI was poor on 8th floor . Could not surf internet properly.
Conveniently located off Interstate 76 and Route 1, this Ramada Plaza Newark Liberty International Airport hotel is near Cape Liberty Cruise Port, the Prudential Center, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and many local restaurants. New York City is just a short drive away. After an adventurous day, refresh at this hotel with complimentary wireless Internet, on-site gym, on-site sports bar, airport shuttle, dry cleaning services, game room and meeting rooms. Parking is available for a small fee. Guest room amenities include refrigerator, desk and flat-screen TV. Deluxe, smoke-free and handicapped accessible rooms are also available. There is no charge for children 17 and under with an adult. All guests must be 21 years or older to make a reservation and check-in.
Cons: The room is a little old but everything works and very clean!!
Pros: Perfect hotel stay. Everything was lovely from the pool, to our hotel room, to the staff. They even welcome you with hot cookies! The best part is the Hilton Double tree is inexpensive :)
Pros: The hotel was comfortable and had all the amenities one could need. The staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to check-in before 11 a.m. without an additional fee, took advantage of the free shuttle to the airport several times to get to the Amtrak station and head into New York City. When our room keys stopped working at we went to the front desk for assistance, not only did the clerk apologize for the inconvenience, but she advised that if it should happen again, we didn't need to return to the front desk. Instead, we could call from a house phone near the elevator on our floor and they would send someone up to assist us. This hotel provided great value for the price and I would definitely stay there again.
Cons: When I checked out, I inquired about paying for parking. I was told that I would need to pay at the gate when I left since there were no charges on my room bill. However, I was not advised until I pulled up to the gate that they only accept cash there. Luckily, I had enough cash on hand to pay for my 2 nights of parking, but it would've been nice to have the opportunity to pay by credit card or at least forewarning that only cash is accepted at the gate.
Cons: The only reason I was at this hotel is because I missed my connection and was rebooked to leave very early the next morning. The airline did not cover the cost of the stay so I had a choice and picked the Doubletree. From booking to check out the stay was a disaster. The shuttle took over 30 minutes because no one at the hotel notified him people were waiting. Upon check in at 11:30 pm I asked for a 4 am wake up call. I confirmed it before I went to my room. At this point, my phone is completely dead, it wouldn't even turn on. I literally plugged it in and fell into bed. The wake up call never came, but thankfully, due to a a leaky faucet that dripped all night long, I never fell deeply asleep and happened to check my watch at 4:18 am. I got ready and went to the lobby to get coffee, which was supposed to be there 24/7 according to the person who checked me in-- nope, coffee service doesn't start until 6:00 am, a change was made last week. If you are stuck at Newark and are looking for a place ro stay, go somewhere else!
Pros: Value, and great view inside from inside balcony
Cons: Got off elevator and looked for room. Sign said rooms 501-527 left and 529-549 right.
My room was 528. Figure that out. It was around 2 corners, but room was great in the end.
Pros: Shuttle service to and from airport prompt
Cons: No breakfast provide unlike most in area
Pros: Bed was comfertable, room was clean
Cons: Wall plugs far from bed
Showerhead did not function well
Pros: Convenient location to the airport and decent shuttle. The warm cookie is always good.
Cons: The room was not in good shape. The chairs had big stains on them and things were falling apart. When I checked out and showed the front desk person the pictures of the problems of the room she did not apologize but just glanced at it and said she would tell housekeeping.
Pros: I like that this is a pretty consistent hotel. I've stayed in Doubletrees all over the country and the staff is always friendly, the beds are typically very comfortable and the rooms etc. are always clean.
Cons: I don't think that customers staying in the hotel should have to pay for parking. It is outrageous to have to make that extra payment when you're already paying a pretty good amount to stay there. Also, it wouldn't hurt to have affordable food in the restaurant. Since you don't have a free breakfast, at least make it affordable.

Pros: The location is extremely convenient to travel to and from Airport.
Cons: The hotel amenities are very basic. It just provides stay.
There is no microwave in the room. The restrooms are too small and there is no exhaust vent. The power receptacles are limited and located in very inconvenient location inside the room. So, charging phones can be frustrating.
Pros: Okay for a budget short term stay. Decent proximity to Newark airport with free shuttle to AirTrain station running every 30 minutes. Staff was courteous. Room was clean and bed was comfortable.
Cons: Hallways and shared spaces smelled stale/ like faint cigarette smoke and were humid/ not air conditioned for most of our stay. Our air conditioner in the room was also not functional.
Cons: Housekeeping waking you up early by knocking once and opening the door on you, even if the lock is on. It's annoying!!! Check out @ 11am they'll be attempting to open the door on you around 9am.
Pros: We liked that it was so close to the Newark airport & the free shuttle ran every 30 minutes to/from the airport.
Cons: The staff members weren't rude, but not really friendly either. The room was very small - it barely fit the 2 double beds in it.
Pros: For $79 plus tax on a weekend night through kayak, it was great.
Cons: There were only two things:
1) The room could use a mini-fridge.
2) Saturday morning, around 8:30 am, there was house music blasting from the first floor that you could easily hear on the second floor. I realize this was from a group holding a gathering there on Saturday morning, and would be hell on anyone who checked in late, but I couldn't blame the hotel.
Pros: What I really liked about this hotel is that all the staff is very nice. All the staff would say hello if they walked past you and were very helpful.
I also liked that the bar and convenience store were open later than the other hotels in the area. My sister and I wouldn't get back to the hotel until 10:00pm to 12:00am and we were able to get a bite to eat and have a drink before going to bed.
You can tell this is an older hotel so there is little things that could have been better but for the most part you could tell the management was really trying to get the hotel fixed up so the little things didn't really bother me like they would some people.
Cons: When my sister and I first sat on the bed it seemed really hard and uncomfortable but it didn't turn out to be an uncomfortable sleeping experience. It was actually quite comfortable for my sister and I. If you are someone that needs a softer bed I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
The location of the hotel was a bit confusing because the hotel is right off the highway so if you are going too fast you will most likely miss it and have to go all the way around again. So if you are someone taking uber and lyft just make sure your driver knows about when to turn into the hotel so you don't have to pay extra.
Even though I smoke cigarettes I didn't like that the ash tray was right next to the restaurants door. It just seemed really weird to me to have it right there when people have to walk out that door. Also even though they have an ashtray right there people had been throwing their buds on the floor and staff was walking around collecting big trash but didn't stop and pick up the cigarette buds.
Pros: The staff was helpful for the most part.
Cons: The room, the facility in general, was poorly maintained and run down.
It felt like a dirty cheap motel. I asked the housekeeper to clean my room when I went to breakfast, nothing was done. I asked again at dinner and I came back to a pile of towels thrown on my suitcase, and the bed sheet just thrown on the bed. I called housekeeping who tried to explain that only the supervisor was on duty and that the do not disturb sign was on. This was not the case when I twice asked housekeeping to clean the room.
Pros: A place to sleep
Cons: Bathroom not very clean
Cons: No hot water. Reported this to staff. No results, one week apart. Seems like they could care less
Cons: The hotel is nothing like the picture, it was very dirty and old. This is the worst experience I ever had. DONT BOOK THIS HOTEL, its full of roaches !!
Pros: The price for the weekend was great but on Monday it double
Cons: Not the best at all!!!
Pros: Okay for the money
Cons: Bar/restaurant was over priced and the WiFi was down. The doors do not close very well...

Pros: It was a cheap and close place to allow you to drive to the city. Free wifi.
Cons: It was very run down.
Pros: Staff at least.
Cons: Everything. There was nothing to like about. I did early check out and booked another hotel rather than keep staying there that is how terrible it was. Comforters are like those were never washed after purchased. Horrible experience just horrible.
Pros: The staff was amazing and welcoming
Cons: Beds and shower slightly dirty
When you stay at Hudson Plaza Motel, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. You'll have free perks like WiFi and self parking. Also, this motel is 4.7 mi (7.5 km) from Ellis Island Immigration Museum and 5.3 mi (8.6 km) from Colgate Clock.
Cons: We were coming in from out of town to stay near the airport for an early AM flight the next day. We were greeted with bulletproof glass, harassment in the parking lot by male "locals" and hookers running across the street in front of our car. There were 3 layers of security to get into the office and we ended up leaving to find another hotel. There were 4 of us women and this was NO PLACE for us. Will be requesting a full refund.
Pros: Cheapest hotel.
Cons: Very sketchy neighborhood. Not safe at all, to the point where the checkin desk has a bullet proof glass. If you're on a really tight budget it's fine, but if you can spare an extra $20-40 do it!
Pros: Close to airport.
Cons: Across the street from projects with a horrible view. This hotel isn't the best hotel but I guess you get for what you pay for.
Pros: the heart shaped jacuzzi was nice, other than that, I couldn't wait to leave.
Cons: There was no restaurant there and it was right across the street from the projects so I had to venture out into the hood to get something to eat, more like close to run.
Pros: Close to Newark Airport
Cons: The hotel is located across the street from the projects and main desk had bullet proof glass in front of it! 3rd floor is rented to voucher families who sounded like a herd of elephants- YUCK!
Pros: The rooms and how clean it is.
Cons: The people being up and loud all night
Pros: Room was clean
Cons: The area is pretty rough and there is nothing around. It is worth of paying extra $20 to stay somewhere else! May be it is fair price for this area but way higher then Milwaukee(for the same quality hotel)
Cons: it all started wrong. It took 1 hour and 45 minutes for the driver to pick a group of people and me at the airport and the hotel it is not that far from the airport. When I got to the room it smelled horrible and they tried to camouflage the smell with one of those autos sprayer set up to 15 to 20 min mixing the bad smell with that horrible scent. Bathroom smelled like dirty rag. I talked to the person in charge to switch room and he told me that there was nothing available. The bed was not comfortable at all, I was literally sinking in it. This hotel is located Ina bad neighborhood that you can't walk outside after 6 pm. Breakfast is supposed to be ready at 6 am, and they where ready at 6:25 am. This hotel definetlly does not worth the price that I pay for.
Pros: The airport shuttle and staff
Cons: It was an awful stay. The neighborhood is sketch and very active all times of the day which you couldn't tell from the picture of the hotel on website. There was what looked to be dry blood in our room. Yes the rooms were cheap but I would have paid more to not be around that. None of the machines were working to by a drink or food and the breakfast was good other then people from the neighborhood who weren't staying there were getting the breakfast too. Overall I would never stay again
Cons: Just the location was near the hood but there is an airport shuttle so you are able to get around .
Cons: Everything. airport shuttle late. Driver rude. Service desk rude. Place smells bad. Extreely bad neighborhood.
Pros: The room itself was large and clean enough. It certainly is no luxury hotel but we didn't expect it to be.
Cons: It is in an extreeeeeemely rough area of town. We made the stupid mistake to stop for fast food late at night before we checked in. It was clear that there were only a few types out and about. People who were clearly high, people with at least 3 cell phones, lots of cops with lights & sirens running, and clueless suburbanites looking for food & hotel. After getting our food, we made it to the hotel and into the lobby where, I am not kidding, my husband is in law enforcement, there was a very obvious drug deal going down. It is a very small lobby and my 3 young children were running all around the place as these two guys are exchanging baggies and cash, right out in the open. We finally got to the elevator where were got STUCK. Seven of us (with luggage) piled in. We could barely fit (should've been a clue but after this incident, I checked all elevators, and I have not since seen any elevator, no matter how small, with such a low weight limit). The door closed, it wouldn't move up or down, we had to set off the alarm, we were stuck for a minute or so, and my husband got the door open. That was when we noticed the 600 lb weight limit. WTH? So some chose to take the stairs and the rest took their chances in small batches with the elevator. Once we got to the room, we were extremely pleasantly surprised. By that point, we were expecting the very worst. This is not the worst. It is solidly within the "good enough" range, providing you do not stop between the airport & the hotel and you keep your eyes open and use common sense.
