Showed up and there were no cars at the location even though I had a valid reservation. No advanced notice. Called customer service, they rebooked it at another nearby location. I asked if how they knew there’d be a car and the response was, “it’s showing inventory in the system.” I asked them if they could call and double check and customer service said they can’t do that (???). I called the branch after my call with customer service and the vm2nd branch also confirmed there were no cars there.Reviewed 24 Apr 2026

Their website accepted a one-way rental, but the local office would not honor it. Worse, they wouldn’t come out and say they wouldn’t honor it, they just said “it would be a good 6 hours late.” Then “we really can’t promise” expecting we would give up and then it would be me canceling the reservation, giving up, not them. shuttle from LIR was very organized, very nice staff. booked a compact 4x4, received a compact 4x4. did pay for the comprehensive insurance but it seemed like they would accept a letter saying you have other coverage. return was super simple, took about 5 minutes, no surprise charges and the shuttle back to the airport was waiting to drop us off at the terminal. There was a slight wait at the counter to get the car because everyone comes out of customs at a similar time but it was really a seamless and painless process overall.
