We will never rent from Hertz again. Scheduled pickup at 9am. Not able to get car until 1 pm. Initial car at 1 then cancelled due to crack on windshield. Offered replacement scratched up and reeked of cigarette smoke. Ended up taking car with 18 inch crack in windshield. Then received bill in email for $200 in damages! Called hertz, unable to tell what damages supposedly were. Finally removed charge. Never, ever, ever again.Reviewed 16 Oct 2025

Rental was cancelled 24 hours prior to pickup and we had to scramble to find alternative method to make the three hour journey to SeaTac airport. Very inconvenient, stressful and, well, just wrong!!! Store closed and we were stranded with our baby. We tried calling 2-3 in advance to move reservation to earlier I fear that flight might be delayed and hertz rep said they could not update for me. I tried kayak reps and line kept dropping and could not connect with a rep until the day of when the store closed and I chose the emergency option .
