The representative at the car rental desk gave us wrong information. She told us that the price we paid at the counter included the price of the rental car. However, when I later reviewed the bill, I discovered that the price we paid at the counter was for an insurance package only, and that we were ALSO charged separately for the rental. This doubled the price, making it a disastrous purchase. I feel I was cheated into something I did not agree to.Reviewed 16 May 2024

I picked the wrong time based on incorrect recollection of when we were supposed to land, but it was required to wait until that time (two hours later) to pick up my rental. There was no previous walk around and I discovered a couple of rock strikes after I drove out of the facility. Fortunately they were rather small and there was no charge for them, but I was worried about it. Otherwise, the car I ended up with (Dodge Durango), which was not the one I reserved (Toyota Corolla), was quite satisfactory and even got respectable mileage (over 25 mpg). So I was pleased. There was a little difference in the ride, however, as the Durango is built on a truck chassis and it is a bit stiffer than a sedan.Reviewed 15 May 2024

I had prepaid my booking with Europcar via Kayak. Upon arrival at the rental counter at 7:00AM, the person told me I couldn't rent a car because my current driver's license had only been issued on 8/17/23 and was less than 12 months old. He said that without a copy of my prior license, which of course I didn't have, he couldn't release the vehicle and would therefore cancel the reservation. When I said I'd already paid for the reservation, he said he couldn't help me on the refund, and that I'd have to deal with Kayak. When I told him I rent a vehicle on average once a week, all over the world, and have never had this problem; and also told him I'd been driving for almost 50 years, he said it didn't matter. He said this was Europcar's policy. So, I walked to the next counter (Enterprise) and hired another rental car. It was a terrible experience. I will never rent from Europcar again. Please help me obtain my refund. You should see in the system that Europcar canceled the reservation. Thank you.Reviewed 9 May 2024
