The Busby Hotel

The Busby Hotel is set in a splendid country estate and is something of a local landmark, situated on the south side of the city – and it’s far more than just a hotel. It has an acclaimed restaurant and is also a very popular wedding and honeymoon venue in Glasgow. It also offers corporate business facilities while making an excellent family holiday hotel as well. No matter your reason for visiting, this hotel provides a comprehensive offering of top-class quality amenities.

If you’re travelling alone or with a partner, you can’t go wrong with a Standard Double Room at the Busby Hotel. High-quality finishes and luxurious touches include smart TVs and a wired-in speaker system. Families can opt for The Kelvin Suite, which has more space and features such as a Jacuzzi bath and a walk-in rain shower. It isn’t one of the most expensive suites in the hotel either, making it an ideal compromise between luxury and affordability.

Busby Hotel offers a full range of business amenities for events and business travellers. It has a selection of custom Executive Rooms specifically designed for people on business trips. The hotel also has two function suites that can accommodate up to 200 guests, and you can further entertain business associates at a drinks reception on the hotel’s balcony. The Cartside Suite can hold 70 people, while The Busby Suite can take up to 180-200. Both can be configured in classroom, theatre or banqueting layouts.

Fine dining is such an important part of the hotel’s raison d'être that its official full name is Busby Hotel & Carters Restaurant. The restaurant is a very popular local attraction, with elegant old-fashioned brass and wood panelling and an imaginative menu that puts a cosmopolitan spin on classic UK dishes. These are accompanied by choices from a full wine cellar and cocktail bar.

The hotel makes for a perfect wedding venue, with dedicated spaces for many types of ceremony, including religious, civil and humanist weddings. The hotel’s function suites will be at your disposal for your reception, after which you can retire to be pampered in the hotel’s Buchanan Honeymoon Suite. It has a super king-size bed, a corner sofa area and a breakfast table where you can enjoy room service. There’s also an outdoor hot tub and an indoor monsoon shower.

The hotel is a little over 15 miles from Glasgow Airport, which will take you about 25min to drive along the M8. If you prefer to use the public transport network, you have several options. First, you can catch the Line 500 bus at the airport and change to Line 6, which will take about 1h 20min.
