I wa very disappointed that Hertz considers a Subaru Crosstrek a mid size SUV. I was traveling with 3 individuals the are tall (2 over 6 feet). Subaru describes this vehicle as a SMALL crossover. The pick up and drop off were frought with challenges. Not quite enough gas (though the pump clicked off) led me to go add gas in order to avoid a 38 dollar charge. This led to me being "late" returning and a 28 dollar charge. I will give credit to the drop off person. She was able to override the charge, It just felt disappointing.Reviewed 16 Aug 2026

It was awful. I showed up at my appointed time at 9 AM. It was told there was no car available, and if somebody turned in, they put me on a waitlist to get a call, which I did not get. I was basically told it was my fault, but I made a booking after their hours didn’t reservation. Then when they pull the list in the morning from their system, for some reason, my name was not on it, which it should’ve been. Nothing I can control either of these situations Their fault. I had to get myself to the Portland airport, I was able to find a car via Avis. This experience with her was incredibly disappointing and really impacted my ability to catch my flight.Reviewed 19 May 2024

My experience with hertz rentals in Corvallis was a complete nightmare. I had to swap cars twice during my road trip. Once due to a mechanical malfunction and a second time because of low tire pressure. When I returned the first rental to another hertz I was sure to refill the fuel. However when I was done with my trip and returned the third vehicle back to my original rental location I had a fuel charge for $164. And of course because it was a charge placed at another location they said they couldn’t remove it, that I had to call and get it removed. Tried calling and only got the voicemail and never received a call back. They make it very difficult to talk to an actual person once you’ve completed your rental and they already have your money. Very disappointing and dissatisfying experience to say the least. I do not recommend renting from hertz in Corvallis or any hertz anywhere.Reviewed 30 Apr 2024
