I liked the vehicle and Patti was amazing⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ When I picked the Tesla I said iI would be late because I work in the oilfields and transportation was behind. Ya no problems. But when I called and said I'd be late late maybe an hr because couldn't find a charging station in Leduc and I'd have to take it back to Edmonton. All I got was we'll charge you a late return fee. So its ok to pick up late but return a little late? Then the person who person at reception either has a bad attitude or having a bad day. "Customer service", is not bad attitude it's doing what you can to the best of your abilities to make to customer feel like you actually care. This isn't the first time I've had a bad experience with Hertz. Patti was the only person plus the pickup staff that actually made me think, ok it was just that other time with the bad attitudes. Anyways liked the car andn Patti. Don't think I'll will be using Hertz againReviewed 2 Feb 2024

First i had to wait several minutes for a staff member to arrive at the counter to pick up my reserved vehicle. The one staff member that was working was having a bad night.. he was very cold and rude so I asked empathetically how his night was going. He responded it wasn't going well. Next, I had requested a compact and recieved a mini van. Altho thos is a nice upgrade, it's not what I asked for. I asked the clerk if he was coming out to inspect the car with me but he said he wasn't able as he had two more people waiting behind me. He said if I could see any dents, to come in and tell him. He said superficial scratches don't matter. I proceeded to the vehicle and noticed some scratches but was told not to worry about this. It was 10:00pm so was dark and dimly lit. I looked as best as I could. I should also mention, I'm 5'2" so could not see the top of the vehicle. I drove this vehicle minimally, to my dad's and back to the airport over the 3.5 days I used it. The gas fill was only $7.50 before returning it. I returned it and the lady who greeted me was very kind. I left the parking lot and went through security to my flight and was called by a Hertz staff member that there was a scratch on the bumper and a dent on the roof. I absolutely did not make these marks for certain and should have had a staff member look it over before driving away as I am too short to have seen this prior to leaving with this huge vehicle and was told not to worry about scratches. I verbally asked them to send me untouched photos, to leave the dust on the vehicle as not to touch where these so called dent and scratch were...untouched as it may prove this was there prior to me renting it if all the dust on the car was uniform. This staff member told me they would do so asap. I also emailed them with this same request. I never did recieve these photos. I was treated like a criminal as this staff member was hostile and rude telling me this was my fault. I'm not an auto specialist...this is not my area of expertise. I asked the original rude staff member to inspect with me and he refused. If these marks were indeed on this van, then this was done prior to me using this vehicle and should have been inspected by upon the return from the previous renter. I shouldn't be paying for someone else's oversight.Reviewed 14 Mar 2023

Everything was amazing until it came time to drop off. Don't get me wrong drop off was fairly easy except when I got to the location it was closed. I had to put the keys in the drop box, which is fine but on confirmation email or other if the location is going to be closed, in the confirmation email that should be mentioned as should the key drop. For me if that is not stated in the email then I am expecting to meet a person at a customer service counter. Other than that it was a great experienceReviewed 20 Dec 2021

Pros:Opening hour, easy to get and drop from airport.Cons:The winter tires didn't included by default in the rent! In Canada during the winter, it's impossible. I needed to add 20$/day extra cost. So I double the amount of my rent. The car was no smoking car. But I never drive a car with an heavy smoke smelt inside like this! The next time I come back to change the car before left the parking! So keep no smoke in no smoking cars!Reviewed 4 Nov 2020

Pros:No surprise fees, the car was nearby, and it worked great.Cons:Sometimes I wish car rental companies had small photos of all the cars in their fleet so that I wouldn't have to start googling what a certain model looked like to remind myself if given the option between different vehicles.Reviewed 23 Sept 2020
