9.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff were very friendly and excellent. Food and drink was very good quality and value for money
Cons: We stayed over for valentines day and night staff were excellent food and drink excellent quality food But we had very noisy idiots above us so didn't get much sleep staff
6.0 Good
Pros: Staff were pleasant. Log fire in reception.
Cons: Walls in our bathroom were dirty and the toilet seat was coming off. Because it was Hogmanay and there was a function the pool etc closed just as we arrived at 4pm so we couldn't use it that day and also there was no food or bar we could sit in. The staff let us sit in the bar and get drinks from the function suite but it was pretty lacking in atmosphere to be the only people sitting in a closed bar on Hogmanay! I wouldn't have minded as much had they told me when I booked but despite me writing that we wanted dinner on the booking form they didn't contact me to tell me that this wasn't possible not about the early closure of the pool facilities.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic evening meal with very good staff
Cons: swimming pool area very dark staff at breakfast unhelpful buffet breakfast not as good as table ordering as before
6.0 Good
Pros: Room was great, as were location and facilities for a nice relaxing break.
Cons: The food was generally a little bit disappointing. Staff were friendly but seemed a bit sleepy, perhaps the first week of January catching up with everyone! It seemed like you already had to know everything. eg. not having menu explained, which menu was for those who booked food as part of the stay etc.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: - Chocolate in the room. - Mattress comfort. - Staff was kind even if sometimes, they looked irritated. - Pastries at breakfast. - Pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. - Shower pressure. - We forgot our laptop there. They were kind enough to keep it for us.
Cons: - The breakfast As a traveller, i usually book accomodation with breakfast only because it is my most important meal. The 2 days breakfast was a disaster. 1st day we had a buffet which was tasteless and did not offer much options. 2nd day was a la carte and I ordered royal salmon. That royal sauce was sooo bad. Don't order it if you are staying there. The only good thing about breakfast were pastries. They were delightful. I stayed in two 3 star hotels before Bowfield and they were better choices than Bowfield. Bowfield does not do justice to its 4 stars in terms of food. 2) I booked a double room with double bed. Had 2 single beds joined as 1 bed. This is not very comfortable especially that we were a couple. 3) The location is ideal if you are looking to be close to the airport but is remote to everything else. Glasgow was some miles far and we had to drive quite a bit for food etc.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: staff were lovely great safe little place lovely food spotless amazing value for money will be back regular
Cons: nothing this is a great little cottage hotel
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice to have juice and water in the fridge, but no milk sachets for tea
Cons: No milk sachets for tea
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Room was larger and nicer than expected for the price. The village of Houston is lovely and peaceful, there's an excellent pub down the street, and it's ten minutes to Glasgow Airport.
Cons: Shared bath (expected, and reflected in the price); when there's a band in the bar downstairs, you can hear them very well (but they're done before midnight). Would probably not stay again on a Friday or Saturday night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Excellent friendly staff, would visit again
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff in the pub who took me to my room when I arrived. Good food in the pub but was unaware I could get 10% off til I got to my room afterwards and read the file.
Cons: There was no one around on Sunday when I left to let them know there was a problem with the sink tile. The heavy doors of neighbours were incredibly noisy as they banged shut.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were excellent
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Dirty grout in the shower. Restaurant overpriced.
1.0 Poor
Cons: While the distance to the airport terminal is small, getting there on foot is a nightmare. What outdoor signs there are to a "walkway" (which doesn't actually even exist) are few and contradictory; a "map" the front desk has is inaccurate and unhelpful.
6.0 Good
Pros: It's a airport hotel, so for 1 night is ok. Walking distance so it's perfect.
Cons: A bit old fashion.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was perfect
Cons: Had do not desturb on door and house keeping still came into room before our check out

9.0 Excellent
Pros: I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. I just needed a place to stay before an early flight to London. Rooms were. Lean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: They could stand to have a few more staff members at check in. Food portions seemed small for the price/value.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Extremely quiet, clean, and can bring it to the airport. Five minute walk to the terminal.
Cons: No
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: The shower didn’t rain and flooded the bathroom, the air-conditioning didn’t work so the room was boiling hot, and the phone was not even working so I couldn’t receive a wake up call or have any means to make an emergency call if necessary. I highly recommend you avoid this hotel.

7.0 Good
Pros: Congo room and bed
Cons: Restaurant menu needs varying and changing
6.7 Good
Pros: Food and staff were nice
Cons: Parts of the hotel weren’t up to scratch. Some room up clean on arrival and areas in swimming pool extremely dirty. Issues were brought to the attention of staff and yet nothing done about it
5.0 Okay
Pros: Asked for 3 separate beds & got them. Leisure centre was a great facility . The girl on reception was really helpful in getting us a taxi & re-ordering when he left.
Cons: Most lamps & sockets didn’t work in the room, main blind didn’t work. There was a large gap around the window letting in a serious cold draught & the child nearest the window got a chesty cough. The leisure centre was great but the changing rooms & toilets needed serious & more frequent cleaning. No secure facility for leaving luggage.

Pros: Bed very comfy, room and bathroom clean, wifi good.

Pros: Handy to get to Glasgow airport in the morning by car

6.7 Good
Pros: Very inexpensive!!!
Cons: Over heated ( radiator command broken) so had to sleep window open...

Cons: I stayed in room 7 last time and was very good on second floor this time I was in room 1 on first floor.. The bed was really uncomfortable there was no bed side lamp which meant you had to leave the main light on which was annoying. The toilet / shower was out of use the whole stay I was there and so you had to use the toilet, shower which the shower was cold so not good and a lot noisier this time
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Nothing to be honest
Cons: Wasnt the best room was a little dirty, curtain poles didnt fit the window, curtains held back with some sort of material. Broken shelf, my iPhone was bigger than the tv and had a fridge freezer in the room that could do a family of 8’s monthly shop. Communal toilet was not pretty at all not to mention the lights were broken so i had to use my torch light to pee. Don’t even get me started on the dark long black hairs constantly left around the toilet seat from one of the other guests
7.1 Good
Pros: The property is ok. The room is even huge and with furnitures that I wasn’t expect by the value paid. Close to the airport, which was my goal
Cons: Check in . I was expecting see someone but one guest there told me that I would call to know my room. I didn’t have a way to call and they called for me.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: Homely small hotel with nice public areas and rooms. I last stayed a number of years ago and it hasn't changed, still great! The food is home cooked and lovely.
Cons: One minor observation in that a couple of lights in the room were out. Lighting was still okay but changing the bulbs might be appropriate!
7.1 Good
Pros: Very nice lady checked us in. Common rooms were pretty and very Scottish in decor. Room had a couch that was a nice touch.
Cons: The bathroom was very small. That I can deal with. But the faucets were not attached to the sink well and kept turning around. The hot water was running and filling up the sink. Finally got the water to turn off. The shower head dripped all the time but it just flowed down the drain. It appeared that the sink had tried to be repaired.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Ambiance, friendly staff. Atmospheric and comfortable.
Cons: Everything excellent. Shower was fantastic, simple but delicious food and coffee. Eclectic but traditional decor, very tasteful. Magnificent house with beautiful proportions. The drive to the car park is short but very steep. Walking down this hill in snow was tricky.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The salmon was exquisite! The staff and proprietors Maureen and Tom were most welcoming which made me feel completely at home. They have done such a great job refurbishing this lovely Georgian property.
Cons: The sidewalk appeal wasn't as good as it could be. When I first arrived and surveyed the front of the hotel I was a little alarmed as it looked unloved. Even my taxi driver made a remark about the dilapidated garden.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was excellent, and the hotel staff were very accommodating. I had to leave the hotel earlier than the set breakfast time each morning due to work requirements, and they managed to serve me earlier than normal to fit with my schedule. I appreciated this especially. The owners and staff were incredibly personable and interesting to chat with, clearly wanting to make your stay as comfortable and convenient as possible. Free private Parking for the duration of the stay. The building was well presented, full of character and the room was large, comfortable and clean. Excellent variety of Scottish Beers, Ales and Whisky at the bar. I will make the Ashtree House Hotel a regular port of call when in Glasgow and the surrounding area.
Cons: There was no Laundry Service or Facility. However when I asked, the hotel staff did inform me of places where I could get laundry done, in the local area.
