The person at the service desk at Copenhagen Airport Sixt rental, Sebastian, was very friendly and helpful. The fact that we weren't offered the choice of automatic and manual on Kayak's website, kind of created a bit of confusion when picking up the car. But he was able to take care of everything, but at a higher rate. So anybody renting on a 3rd party website should be careful. However, the worst experience was when returning the car, they charged me for a damage that was there already. I had taken a photo/video when picking up the car like Sebastian suggested, but after 2-3 weeks of waiting for a response to the complain I had lodged with customer service, I received no response. Renter beware, be sure to document the damage and probably bring it up at the service desk. No one accompanied us to get the car, so we weren't able to show that there was prior damage to the car already.

Had no problems with vehicle. When I went to the airport to drop off the car, there was no one there. I found a box to drop the keys off, but I don't recall receiving any instructions regarding this.

Confusion at pickupCar that we got at the end was great. Return was smooth and quick.Confusion, misinformation first day and no car for winter conditions in Sweden, no money back. I had to call Sixt headquarter to sort it out. Car was provided next day. Maybe I should inform to get car with winter tires, although all other rentals I asked had them as standard. My problem is the communication at the branch. Next time I will go with a different car rental.

We’ve rented cars for over 40 years. When dropping off this car the agent insisted on charging us for a scratch that we could barely detect. It was under the rear door, not even visible when the door was closed. It looked like dirt. We’ve never been charged for damage like this before. It felt like an assault. I still can’t believe the agent insisted we be charged

Good customer service but outrageously strict return policyThe car I received was as expected. The young man ts the check-out counter was exceptionally helpful when I had problems with my American credit card. (Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name, but he appeared to be of immigrant background, and I hope the company knows what a great employee they have!) .When I returned the car, the employee in charge of returns was exceptionally diligent in going over the car which had a number of minor scratches when I received it. I ought to have checked these more carefully before departing with the car, but after 20+ years of renting cars during visits to Denmark, I have never had any issues, so I didn't do so. When I returned the car, I was informed that the car had two additional minor scratches that I would be held responsible for. I honestly do not believe that these scratches happened while I was using the car, but of course I have no proof. Given the fact that a number of other scratches remained on the car, the company obviously do not fix these, so it seems extravagant that my insurance company will be charged for repairing these. Besides, the windshield wipers were not working correctly (which I only discovered in a rain storm), but when I mentioned this to the employee upon return, I was given not even an apology. Next time around, I will llok for another car rental company.

Felt scammed at drop off - but everything else gooGreat value, polite and efficient pick-up I like Sixt in general and Sixt is my go-to car rental firm in Copenhagen.Drop off: almost felt scammed. When I picked up the car I walked around the car checking for damages. Saw none but it was DARK and a cranmed space. Upon drop off the representative took out a flash light to check the car and found the tiniest scatch that I had overlooked (had no chance in fact). In the end I was not charged, but not a good experience - I refused the damage and sent an email including a few pics of the car I had taken.
