Pros: Was very close to everything, while being far enough away to not be too noisy. had great wifi - compared to everywhere in india i was. Place was clean, and staff were VERY helpful.

Pros: I love being at Alpine Hotel & apartments. I went to Nepal to celebrate my birthday and Alpine exceeded our expectation and organised a memorable birthday celebration. Staff are very nice and helpful. Free airport pick up and drop was awesome. We booked some hiking with Alpine which went very well. Alpine is highly recommended to all my friends and family.

Pros: I recently stayed at Alpine Hotel which was recommended by my friend. Alpine is nice small hotel at the heart of Kathmandu. Staff are great asset here. Pros: Staff was very nive and helpful but unfortunatelly they could not address and resolve the exisitng problems as well as those arising from the lack of adequate management .

Cons: The price per night was on a very high end ($200 per night) but the room I finally stayed in on the fifth floor (had to change the first room due to the drilling and hammering noise in the walls) had a very worn out feel, with a very ugly view of construction site and accompanied by the construction noise bellow my windows that lasted until after midnight and wouldnt stop until several interventions; almost non existing wi-fi so I couldnt work in the room at all; got stuck in elevators twice due to power outage as clery no generators in the hotel; dirty mugs in the room; a very late cleaning service for the room and for which I finally had to ask for etc. etc. In my opinion, hotel was not able to provide the quality of the stay for the price they charges - it advertises itself as a conference centre but it was not able to properly function when in a full capacity or to provide the quality of not just a room but even of some basic elements - the hotel toilets were most of the time not a pritty site and lacking main elements like toilet and hand paper. And finally, they were not able to accommodate my leaving early due to the family emergency and still charged me for the two nights that I couldnt use. Staff was very nice and polite and tried to compensate for the lack of overall good management of the hotel by appologising all the time and offering small discounts but unfortunately, they were not able to provide timely and satisfactory solutions and services for the overall stay.

Cons: Air quality is a big problem. Perhaps the HVAC system needs attention; maybe the filters need changing... The odors and staleness of the air is hard to deal with. Seeps into everything. I had to deep clean everything to remove the odors after I got home. It may even have health consequences as the odors smell like mold. The cleaning and polishing solutions used in the hotel seem to be based on harsh and aggressive smelling chemicals. It was overpowering and does not create a pleasant and restful environment. Or maybe the products were quite ordinary and the smells would not have been a problem if the HVAC was efficient and moved and refreshed the indoor air rapidly. Couldn't tell which...

Cons: When I asked to book room at reception they did not give me correct information and offered me a room worth INR 22000 per night. So I went to booking.com and got my desired room.

Pros: This is a great little family-owned boutique hotel that feels intimate and personal. It is right in the heart of Thamel, but once inside it is extremely quiet and peaceful.

Cons: There were building sites nearby, but they are everywhere in Kathmandu after the 2015 earthquake.

Pros: Staff are really lovely, great location in Central Thamel, room had loads of heritage features and was very clean and neat.

Cons: Little bit noisy of an evening from nearby bars, but suspect that is true of all hotels in Thamel.

Pros: It was a little off the main road so not so noisy

Pros: Absolutely fantastic hotel. Beds were awesome ans super comfy. The whole played just smelled clean and nice. Breakfast was good. Staff went over and above just being kind. They were friendly, funny. We had dinner with them. Extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The location is second to none and we felt safe, warm and cosy for our whole stay. We will definitely stay there again. The kids also loved it.

Pros: Hotel is right in the center of Thamel, very strategic for shopping, plenty to choose for restaurants and bars, money changer, SIM card, mini market, laundry, tour arrangement.Bicky, the man who greet us and helped us to check in was super friendly, very informative and helpful. if you need taxi arrangement to go to airport or sites that you would like to visit around Kathmandu, I suggest to use the hotel service as they give us exact price. no need to negotiate with the taxi driver.

Pros: Location good, lobby homey and comfy, staff service good.

Cons: Power went off occasionally though it came back quickly. Bathroom standard is not the same as the west though it could have been one of the best.

Pros: Brilliant location, beautiful rooms and options to add on within the rooms. Value was amazing for the quality of experience that we got from the stay.

Cons: We had pre arranged an airport pick up with the hotel through booking.com. We flew from Pokhara to Kathmandu and were left standing outside for just under an hour and had to get our own taxi as there was no evidence of the pick up. Mentioned it to the hotel and they said that he was there waiting for us and decided to leave.

Pros: Good location. Nicely themed rooms.

Cons: Additional 3.5% charge while paying by Cards. Actual food served is different from what is mentioned in Menu. Staff are more concerned about charging guests rather than looking after their needs. Was served a rotten spaghetti dish for dinner on 15th June - the staff didn't show any regret other than not charging for the dish. No complaint register was maintained. The suggestion box was located far away from the reception and was made accessible only after repeated request.

Pros: Located in Thamel it’s handy for many restaurants n bars, Durban Squsre and more tat shops than you can shake a stick at.

Cons: A plumbing system that can’t hsndle toilet paper!the high

Pros: Overall stay was good but the concept of breakfast is not overall acceptable. I have stayed 02 nights and my experience of their staff in restaurant is not good. They are accepting order and it seems they are too much busy but not delivered actual ordered items.

Pros: The service was very humble and the food was truly fabulous. The morning and evening staff were always smiling and pleasant. Forgot his name but the server whom I gave the banana jam recipe was truly a wonderful personality.

Cons: Maybe a few nip and tuck in the room repairs which was minor and was addressed to the reception. But nothing major to ruin the stay. Being an eco friendly place there are no elevators. Although I love the stairs, its a reminder for the rest.

Pros: Staff was very nice and accommodating! The beautiful architecture the hotel is new but looks hundreds of years old. Very authentic design and vintage furniture. The interior is gorgeous and pure pleasure to walk around the hotel and chill in it’s nooks. It was so peaceful and it’s something you really need when visiting Kathmandu (it is a super noisy city).

Cons: Lack of AC gives you some slight discomfort but nothing major. Having no toiletries to use is a bit of an annoyance considering the price you pay for. Additionally, they don’t have the washing hose next to toilet and if you are used to traveling in Asia and MiddleEast you will miss it.

Pros: I liked the architecture of the Hotel. All the little details of decor. The daily water in the copper pots and morning yoga. The breakfast was also really good. The hotel staff super accommodating. I enjoyed the yard filled with plants and flowers. The calmness of the location in the middle of chaos of the city. There were so many things I really liked.

Cons: I didn’t like the noise in the morning. The ringing of the bells, the singing and the noise of the city awaking, very loud. The pollution in the city was really terrible, very hard to breathe. The smoke alarm going off every time a took a shower. Also the outlets in the wall , not sturdy and plugs kept getting disconnected.

Pros: The location and especially the historical texture of the hotel were the things we liked the most.

Cons: No air con in the hot monsoon but I went there knowing that and appreciate that it is eco friendly hotel. So it wasn’t a problem at night with the cool air coming in through the beautifully framed window. The fan provided was sufficient for the day but noisy.

Pros: Very good location - close to Thamel. Clean And quite spatious rooms with comfortable bed And tolerable bathroom. The best aspect of the hotel was the staff - speaking English fluently, very helpful in getting around the city And arranging transport to Pokhara.

Cons: Food was disappointing. First day, breakfast was cold And greasy with sweetened scrambled egg And quite bad coffee. The next day we asked for Take-away breakfast, as we had to leave early for our bus to Pokhara And we received.....two dried toasts with a miniscule amount of Jam, one hard-boiled egg, apple And small juice. Not a standard that you would expect from a good-rated hotel breakfast.

I called morning 7 am reciption that I want to check in early, recipsenist she replied me ok will provide room no worries she was very helpful also from room dining Mr uttam and Chef rajesh take order our lunch and dinner food was delicious and well presented. The breakfast buffet was more veraity.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel in Kathmandu and stay here again in the future.
