Pros: Andi and Yuki welcomes us the moment we arrived, and were charming and interesting hosts throughout. The house is amazing, and you keep seeing more and more, from the art work, wooden carvings, bathrooms, individual rooms, lava hot pot in the garden, coffee, tea, fruit. Close to the airport, walking distant to places to eat and shop. A superb guesthouse.

Pros: Really kind hosts, nice house, reasonable size rooms and comfortable beds. Lots of art around the house and super large and warm hot tub in the garden!! Towels and bathrobes included as well as slippers. Home made cookies and chocolate, too! Shame we were only there for one night.....Close to the airport. Hope to come back one day...

Pros: Everything. The hosts here were absolutely wonderful. They picked us up from airport for no extra charge, were very accommodating to our odd travel times, and they even left personal bathrobes, house slippers, and pool shoes for us to use. The heated pool was AMAZING and we wish we could have spent more time here. I cannot recommend the breakfast option with your stay enough. Not only is it very worth it, but the hosts' cooking abilities were fantastic. Yuki makes fresh bread, and Andi's espresso skills are on-point. Best experience we had in all of Iceland, and we did A LOT of stuff, so I feel like that's saying quite a bit.

Hotel Berg is a newly renovated four-star boutique hotel on two floors located above a small marina in Keflavík, where most travellers begin and end their journey in Iceland due to its short distance to the international airport. Hotel Berg is only a 5-minute drive to the airport, yet has quiet surroundings, as it is well away from the noises of the airport.

Pros: The Manager of the Hotel was extremely polite and helpful. He was available on the phone whenever we called him to ask questions about places, transport etc. He drove us to the Blue Lagoon for a much more affordable amount than a Taxi wanted to charge us. Thank you to the manager very much for your hospitality! We were very close to the water front at this Hotel which enabled us to see the northern lights from our hotel window which was great. We were only 20 mins from the Blue Lagoon and less than 10 mins from the airport. There was fresh bread for toast in the morning and cereal so if you don’t mind a continental breakfast each morning you will be fine. The room was very clean and comfortable, had English TV on a good size screen which was great as not much to do in the evenings apart from chill in front of TV.

Pros: This hotel really lets you see what hospitality and comfort should be like. Our flight left at 6:40am and the hotel provides a complimentary 'pre' breakfast at 4am for early travelers. There was breads, small meats, cereal, yogurt, fruit, assorted cream cheese spreads, coffee/tea, juices. Regular breakfast starts at 8am. Just this alone was enough to win me over. Add to that the rooms were very clean, the showers had great pressure and the beds were super comfy. The only issue I had was that they give us two twin comforters instead of one big one... Yup, that was it. Behind the hotel is the sea.

Cons: Everything was very expensive, the food, the transport (public and Taxi). Blue Lagoon was pricey but we budgeted for that and booked our ticket before we flew out (which is recommended). We had Dominos for dinner one night which was a 15 min walk from Hotel but reasonably priced also. The bus to Reykjavík cost a bomb and so did lunch there so make sure you budget for that. Unless you are going to hire a car you would need to book excursions (which are pricey) but there’s not much to do in the Towns and nothing much pretty to look at apart from the Sea and Coastline. I would not come to see pretty buildings as there were not many, we did not do the Golden Circle but heard it’s worth a visit.
7.5 Good

Pros: The space was perfect for our last night in Iceland. We hit some bumps in the road with previous lodging on our trip, which is to be expected; however, it was quite relieving to walk into Bergas Guesthouse and be greeted with a friendly face and such attention to detail. The check-in process was the smoothest we experienced, our room was prepared and ready for us to walk in and fall into very comfortable beds to rest. We booked here because it was a short drive to the Blue Lagoon and minutes from the airport and we would be visiting both in the following 24 hour period. Perfect location, great price, lovely owners. Wish we could have stayed a little longer to explore the surrounding area and waterfront. I will definitely keep Bergas Guesthouse in mind for future trips.

Pros: Reynir picked us up from the airport and drove us the 15 minutes to the b&b, super easy to sort out the shuttle. Absolutely lovely house with a huge beautiful kitchen and comfortable clean rooms. Shared bathrooms were big & clean, the outdoor hot tub really relaxed us after a day of travelling. Reynir was helpful, informative and really friendly. Check in process was quick and straight forward. Breakfast was good with plenty to choose from. Absolutely no complaints. Highly recommend, we were sad we only got to stay there the one night!

Pros: I can't say enough about this place. The coziness, the attention to detail, the wonderful nick knacks all around, the variety of food to choose from for breakfast, and the wonderful clean hot tub! The host gave us complete access to the house as we were alone the first night. There were a few others the second night but hardly noticeable.. and one girl was quite friendly to chat with. The atmosphere was conducive for it in front of the lounge TV.. for a guy who has had no cable for years, it was a nice touch to me ;) The host was exceptional and obviously showed a passion for the crafts he was working on to improve the rustic feel of the BnB. He is also quite knowledgeable of the surrounding area. A pleasure to talk to.

Pros: If you like a friendly, comfortable place with lots of character and history, then this place is just perfect! Located close to Keflavik Airport and right on the water, Raven's Bed was the perfect stop off spot after arriving in Iceland in the afternoon. A converted cow barn turned into a cosy house, this place was pure comfort. It felt like a home away from home with anything you could possibly want. After a friendly welcome we soon settled into the warm cosy lounge room to relax. Our downstairs bedroom was comfortable, the bathroom roomy and immaculately clean, and the whole place just really appealed to us. Just perfect - thank you :)

Pros: We loved it here, it's so cosy and homely, yet incredibly unique. There is so much attention to detail in your surroundings. The breakfast was self service/buffet of meats, cheeses, bread, spreads, cereal, salad etc and great coffee! There is a small fridge for you to store your things. We really enjoyed sitting by the window for breakfast (underfloor heating was lovely), the hottub was fabulous after a long day, Reynir was the perfect host, putting out candles etc around the hot tub and chatting to us (we're usually not chatty people, but he put us at ease immediately). the location was perfect for exploring the Reykjanes penninsula for the few days we were there, it's also very close to supermarkets, restaurants, vinbudin and several museums. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again

Pros: Great little hotel about 8 minutes from KEF. Staff was awesome. They served a great little breakfast that was free; and the served it any time of the morning you requested. Rooms were sufficient size. Bathroom was spacious. Everything was clean.
Cons: No dislikes. It is a great value hotel, near the airport that included breakfast at any hour you asked them to have it ready.

Pros: Location was great to get to the airport and downtown. But, we had a car.

Pros: Quite near to the airport, it's an ideal place to stay for the last night before the flight back home. We got the hotel shuttle to drop us off upon departure, which was nice as we had considerable amounts of luggage.
Cons: The breakfast consists of a fridge stocked with some items (like milk and butter) and packages of toast bread on the counter, so guests have to prepare everything for themselves.

Pros: Decent breakfast and one-way airport ride were helpful.
Cons: Extremely small private room and very loud with others staying nearby and in common area. No staff onsite when attempting to check in either and no note. Had to wait an hour for someone to give the key to my room. Fairly expensive for what is provided, even for Iceland.

Cons: the reception , the lift is commun with the other part of the hotel. there is not the service expected for a 5* hotel the heating in the room was stuck at a very hight temperature and they could not fix it ! so in the blizzard i had to open the window to cool the air down Nobody help us with the baggages. Breakfast was excellent and the first day we had a really nice service..outside the room.. as there was not enough space in the room! I was disappointed especially in relation to the price paid for the room.

Pros: A well appointed set of rooms with good potential
Cons: The hottub with the room was too cold to stay in for any length of time, and there were noise issues given the communal area and all floors being tiled. We were also checked into the wrong room on arrival and had to wait for the room to be prepared

Pros: The quality of the rooms and the staff were very good. Rooms were well equipped and stylish and plenty of comfortable towels, robes and slippers provided. Views were good and the hotel was situated close to local restaurants.
Cons: Despite having access to 2 hot tubs and a jacuzzi bath none of them functioned properly. The hi-tech system was initially impressive but failed to work. Panels on the baths and hot tub inside our suite would never work in order to activate temperature and jacuzzi jet controls. The private hot tub outside was cold and incomprehensible with no instructions. We called room service to help but it became clear this was a new system to the hotel and they were as clueless as we were despite being very polite.

Pros: We actually stayed in the Hotel across the road. The staff were very friendly & helpful, we were able to get an early check-in time. There was some renovations in the foyer area, it didn't really impact our stay. The room was lovely, very comfortable beds & enough room for the 3 of us. The bathroom in the room had only one light in the mirror which did not allow large light for the shower.

Pros: Had a 18 hour layover in Iceland and stayed at Fit for a place to get a few hours sleep and it was a short walk from the airport (maybe 1 hour/3.5miles/7km) The bed was comfortable, the manager was friendly, the shower had hot water and the facitilities were clean. The building is old and a bit worn and the area of town is more industrial, but it's only a short distance to a few restaurants and the shore. It was the least expensive place that I found (Iceland was very expensive overall) and was a good deal for the price. I would stay there again and would recommend it.
