Pros: I was impressed by the very attentive, courteous staff who pay attention to detail! During my first day, I left a copy of the New York Times on my desk. Without asking, the following days, a New York Times was delivered to my room. Every afternoon a plate of fresh fruit was delivered to the room and on the first day, it also came with a box of gourmet chocolates. In the evening, the turndown service came with slippers placed on each side of the bed. I've stayed in many fine hotels and this one ranks as one of the best.

Cons: Bar was a bit characterless.... more importantly I was in a Club room, so quite expensive, yet the door to the bathroom very loose and banged you when on the toilet. Despite complaining, nothing done about it.

Pros: I obviously liked the location of the hotel (it’s in de center of Luxemburg, ie luxury stores within your reach-walk distance- as well of the H&M, Zara etc). Also the very clean rooms and nice staff. The valet helped us with our car and parked it in their parkingzone (€30 per day), so we didn’t need to worry about our vehicle. My favorite spot of the hotel was their garden and the very nice couches with heating possibilities. I would def recommend this hotel.

Cons: There are indoor and outdoor parking. In indoor parking, there are many spaces reserved for Novotel but it looks like Sofitel guest can park there as well. (We did and there was no problem).

Parking not good and to find the hotel within the permanent worksite is very very very difficult...grab a taxi do not try to improvise yourself or call the hotel and they will pilot you through the latest craziness of traffic control. Can not wait for the worksite to complete...been saying that for the past 3 years.... Honestly it is the only negative on that amazing hotel.

In room drinks facilities left a lot to be desired. We only got one tea bag and a coffee each. Cons: The rooms lack some love / thought. For example in the bathroom there is no light close to the mirror, so good luck shaving. The minuscule flatscreen tv is so far away, you'd rather watch it on your cellphone. And while I was there (6 days), Internet only worked half of the time.
I was in the "annex" building, which is a bit weird since cross the street. Although a bit more recent than the rest, it felt a bit detached from the rest (no pun intended)

Pros: The room was spacious and although the hotel was apparently new the furniture and the wall-to-wall carpet seemed all. The bathroom was clean but the shower screen didn’t work well since there was a lake in the bathroom after taking a shower. The breakfast was very good but had different prices during working days (€21) than during weekends (€16,50).
Cons: We spent there 3 nights, from Friday to Monday. On Sunday we left the room at 10h30 and returned at 16h and the room was not cleaned up. We went to the reception to claim and they said that there was nothing abnormal, that they can clean rooms from 8am to 8pm. This is the first time in my live that I heard something like this. I imagine returning after a working day tired and finding my room as I left it in the morning and will feel absolutely disappointed so unfortunately I’ll will not return.

Pros: The largest hostel I've been to is in the smallest country. Everything is thought out for convenient placement. The room was spacious, there is a locker for storage, but you need to have your own lock. Thank you very much, in the restaurant we were allowed to take hot water and we could sit there, it was very good for us. The location is just wonderful, under the viaduct, the ancient city is very beautiful very!

Cons: Showers are unpleasant - can not regulate water flow and direction, the cabin was without a curtain so everyone can hear me showering from the hall plus it was cold because of the airflow. Breakfast was very poor. I had to put bedsheets myself and this is not convenient when you sleep on the second floor of the bunk bed!

Pros: The location is amazing, right in the center (altough you might have to walk uphill a bit :) ). Cons: It wasn't the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in, I must say. The shower is especially bad, since there's basically no adjustable shower head, so half the water goes directly out on the floor and the shower is always flooded, usually with hair and dirt all over it. There's no common kitchen, where you could cook or store your food in, which is very unfortunate in a hostel! But on the bright side, at least there is a common dining room with a microwave which you can use, and the food that needs to be refrigerated can be stored at the reception. Although I felt a bit uncomfortable asking the staff every morning and evening to get my food out and then put it back in. Overall, not the best price for the value.

Cons: Having booked a superior room, which usually overlooks the gorge, I was served off with a room in another building. Badly-proportioned, with nothing that comes even close to a view, it was far cry from anything superior and, at 239 EUR a night your ultimate rip off.

Cons: No good views from any of the rooms. Slightly dodgy area. Breakfast fruit served freezing cold.

Cons: The breakfast as everybody says is too weak. Very poor! The recepcionist ( THE MAN) is very very rude, agressive. Not pollite. Sometimes he sounds he is doing a favour. They dont have recepcionist after 23 p.m till 6a.m and in the booking there is nothing saying about that.

Cons: Ordered gluten free bread for breakfast when booking. Confirmed with reception on arrival. Reception staff member was not overly friendly, but this was agreed, but no gluten free bread was available next morning.
