Great location , nice rooms , great staff
I appreciated how they let me check in early and check out late. I also liked how they upgraded my room when I mentioned the room I was first put in was a little bit loud.
Some rooms are louder then others
Almost everything! Pretty high resort fee, but this includes a happy hour from 7-8 where ALL drinks are free. And they don't mess around with the orders. Orders during happy hour are fulfilled quickly. Also there's a free airport shuttle, which takes kind of long (45 mins) so plan ahead! Pool looks okay, but we didn't use it. Just minutes away from the actual beach. Three nice buildings, clean rooms - just a little bit of smell probably due to the high humidity. AC had a control panel, but didn't change anything. Staff was really friendly.
Resort fee was charged, even though our reservation already had them included. I sent an email about this, we'll see..
Watch out for hidden fees!
The facilitiy was good, although bedroom was too dark, beds good comfortable. Location Amazing, customer service intermediate. Some employees were tough. The downstairs pool was great, but needs a bar. Overall good
The bell men and bar tenders were great for the most part. Only had on crabby out front guy.. The e-cart guys were wonderful and that was so nice...I would stay again just because of them! The drinks were outrageously priced! Our coffee was never replaced in the room and the fact it was only instant coffee and no complementary coffee in the lobby was sad...also no breakfast and not really a cheap place to get some nearby...that was not good
Amazing. I loved the happy hour and the rooftop pool with the dj. The beds were amazing and comfortable. I did wake up with a couple bug bites on my leg which concerned me but that could have been anything. Also the bamboo area was nice :)
Excellent service. Great staff and good restaurants. Pool bar on roof is great. This is by far the best deal for a boutique in south beach. Not too noisy not too quiet. Valet is $35 everywhere in south beach. I that's too much, walk up 17 street 500m to the city parking garage and park for 20/night. There's nothing cheaper within a mile. Is what it is. I read all the reviews and was shocked a what some people were saying. Yes the rooms are small but the buildings are from the 30's. It is not the ritz, it's a well priced boutique hotel easy walking to everything south beach is. I came here for 2 days, have now stayed a week. If you want new run of the mill marriott or Sheraton, enjoy paying $350 a night. When I decided to extend my stay the staff actually worked with me to navigate some of the many online apps to find the best deal. This hotel is more for the going out crowd or solo traveller or under 40's couples. Some posters griped about the reception being a different building, really???? It's all of 15 steps door to door. I've had longer walks in some airport hotels to the elevator. Drive up and down south beach and price other places then come here, it's the best deal in south beach collins hands down.
It's what I expected. The staff is limited on what rates they can give you, it's up to you to shop around and make sure you're getting the best price. I'm a mid 30's oil and gas engineer and don't have 500$ a night for south beach. Having said that this is perfect. The hallways aren't new and the cleaning staff can seem loud because the doors don't seal out noise all that great. Parking everywhere here is a challenge, welcome to south beach. If you don't pay, you'll be hiking.
The location was perfect! Also, the rooms were very modern and tastefully decorated. The beds were extremely comfortable (just like they claim!) The pool areas were very nice too. The restaurants were affordable and very good as well.
Our room was on the second floor of the Maxine building--directly above the bar. We were in Miami for fun so the (very) loud music didn't bother us too much, but if you're looking for a quiet retreat, then you should request a room on a higher floor or in a different building.
I loved everthing about the hotel! I would most definelty stay there again
I honestly can't think of anything I didn't like about this hotel!
It is part of the group of hotels that share a shuttle bus to the airport, which then it is free for the guests. However be aware that it is very random and migth not turn up at all (and runs every hour), and teh fact that leaves at o'clcock only means that's the time arrives to the first hotel (if you are in teh last one migth arrive 30 mins late)
You migth end up in any of the hotels, not much control there. The room I was staying at the Dorset was very very dark, taky decoration. It is almost being inside a "nigth club", but one of the cheap ones. Music starts very loud quite early in the evening, not good for resting before going out. the happy hour is only of very cheap alcohol that you'd better stay away from. When i checked in they made a mistake a gave me a room with was already occupied. Staff is rude and unprofesional. there arelots of better hotel offers in south beach...
Close to ocean drive and Lincoln Road & Value for money.
The beach cruiser bikes and access to the beach and lounge chairs was very nice.
My first night on the first floor by the bar was horrible. After they moved me to the third floor I enjoyed my stayed, but I had already lost one night of sleep.
The first night I was given a room on the first floor by the bar. It was horrible. I don´t understand how they even have rooms there with loud music, and people playing pool and chatting until very late. Practically next to your bed. We coudn´t sleep. Also everytime someone flushed the toilet upstears there was this loud noise coming from the bathroom that was really annoying.
Staff courtesy, good location (close to the beach and main avenues), beautiful art d'eco design, facilities.
- Pillows and beds
the shuttle service and free drinks
The location was very convenient.
The rooms are very small!
