Bosworth Hall Hotel & Spa - Nuneaton - Building
1
7.2 Good (3,672 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Bosworth Hall Hotel & Spa in Nuneaton, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Twycross Zoo and Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre. Featured amenities include dry cleaning/laundry services, a 24-hour front desk, and luggage storage. Free self parking is available onsite.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Lovely property and the facilities are great especially the games room. Perfect space if you have kids. Can take a bottle of wine and if children are smaller there are two doors either end so they cannot escape. You can relax and they can okay. Absolutely perfect. Loads of little seating areas around the place. Home from home. Love it.
Cons: I’d say the leisure facilities could do with an update. Nothing to dislike really just needs modernising. Layout is a little odd.
6.7 Good
Pros: Lovely location
Cons: You have mice in cavity walls
4.0 Okay
Pros: The cleanliness and organisation of the facilities (swimming pool, gymn etc) were spot on. The food was average, but good value for money and the restaurant/bar had a nice atmosphere. The grounds surrounding the hotel are well kept and stunning.
Cons: Our bed was very uncomfortable, to the point of only getting 45mins sleep and our window was jammed therefore not able to open all night and very warm rooms. Staff in restaurant were not attentive and it was very much a case of sort yourself out.
7.9 Good
Pros: nice comfy clean room, and a great location
7.0 Good
Pros: Food was of a reasonable quality at breakfast time. and the buffet dinner options were more than reasonable in both quality and quantity. The set up of the dining areas are good and it was great to see a variety of products on offer. The Dog friendly Bedroom was excellent .. the right part of the building and really appreciated by the owners and the dog.
Cons: The sausages, are poor quality, in fact the term sausages is questionable and the toasters are the cause of 20 minutes of your life you will never get back. The attitude of staff and the physical presence (or lack thereof) at times of staff undermines any pleasure that could be taken from the experience. If you are going to have a carvery element at dinner time, then have member of staff present to do the carving, simple idea really! Staff attitudes in general were poor, a lack of customer engagement, friendliness and sense of happiness exudes from most within the venue.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: the restaurant was excellent Freshly cooked on arrival for breakfast, wide choice and very adequate.the choice of foods served were wide. The presentation and quality was above average for the evening meals. The carvery of a very high standard.
Cons: my only criticism was that the rooms(we had 2 twin rooms) could do with refreshing, and they showed their age where the tiled walls met the timber pipe covers. The hotel should plan for just that, and the whole stay would be exceptional.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location on the A5 is very close to the Triumph factory which I was visiting
Cons: Room was very tired and run down. The rooms and beds are definitely in desperate need of modernization. The food in the restaurant ( I had the carvery ) was ok.

Cons: My wife and I were woken around 3-30 am by an alarm, I phoned the number given but no answer, my wife went to check downstairs but know one was around, this went on for around 30 mins or so, we couldn't get back to sleep after for a good while, we mentioned it to the receptionist but no one knew anything of it, apart from that we couldn't fault anything else.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: The food was excellent and all staff were all very good and couldn’t do enough for you location was very good and easy to fine large off road parking
Cons: The room was adequate for one person but two would have been a little tight and the shower wasn’t that good but it worked creaking floorboards above and in the room the bathroom door kept on opening had a mind of it own but it won’t stop me using the location again

Cons: Took ages for someone to check us in at reception
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Very helpful, pleasant staff. Comfortable, quite room at a fair price.
Cons: Undergoing refurbishment, but the room we had needed a little maintenance before it had its refurb - bathroom door did not shut, toilet seat not fastened down, no cover on the shower drain. Sure these will get sorted when the room gets its refurb, but even so, these small things ought to be sorted out.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Staff on arrival during evening in the Restaurant and Bar were very good and accomadating! Reasonable Bar prices and a Special good value Rump Steak Deal for £5
Cons: On arriving on the first floor to get to my room I was confronted by the fact initially there was refurbishment of rooms going on! The area was untidy , dusty , with the floor finely covered in fine wooden splinters . I appreciate work has to be done but just to hoover the area after the day's work from a customer's point of view certainly would of been appreciated!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: A good location, friendly staff and clean throughout property
6.0 Good
Pros: Nice and warm and a good location. The pub was good value for money.
Cons: I asked to be put in an accessible room and it wasn't. I couldn't get in the shower and could only just get to the lavatory. The lady on the front desk didn't appear to want to be there and wasn't friendly. The room was very tired and dated.
7.0 Good
Pros: Staff (female) on Reception excellent -couldn't have been more helpful. Facilities great. Room comfortable. Great choice at breakfast. Order taken & delivered promptly.
Cons: Room very noisy while builders working upstairs - lots of banging and drilling .. really spoiled period of relaxation we were hoping for. Coffee at breakfast too weak for me. But maybe for others of course.

The Arden Hotel & Leisure Club - Solihull - Building
8
7.7 Good (7,054 reviews)
Overview Reviews
When you stay at The Arden Hotel & Leisure Club in Solihull, you'll be connected to the convention center, within a 5-minute drive of National Exhibition Centre (NEC) and Resorts World Birmingham. Featured amenities include a business center, complimentary newspapers in the lobby, and dry cleaning/laundry services. Free self parking is available onsite.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: The staff are great and the food in the resturant was billiant. Easy 10 minute walk to Birmingham International rail station and NEC. Plenty of parking for the rooms available. Common areas have been updated and are bright, clean and plesant.
Cons: Internet slow (but reliable) , room was a bit dated and bathroom needed a little TLC but clean and functional. some rooms are very close to busy A45 but more than adaque sound proofing as long as you don't expect to have your windows open, there is no Air Conditining so this can make regulating the room tempreach a balancing act.
4.0 Okay
Pros: The facilities were there to use if you required them and the location to both the motorway and NEC are ideal
Cons: We ate in the restaurant for dinner, the food was priced at a level where we would expect the food itself to be cooked to a better standard. Our roast potatoes were two each and both were massively undercooked, when I asked for replacements we were told they didn't have any and I'd have to have boiled potatoes, which came with no butter, or extra gravy meaning they were just dry. I had lamb but was not offered mint sauce and had to ask for it. However, it was the room we were most disappointed by: by the kitchen so very noisy until late then woken up again at 5am as the delivery lorries came in and dragged their deliveries off the trucks in large metal cages. Also a family room next door made noise all night long. When a shower water is turned on in a joining room the pipes drone throughout the rooms. The hotel need repainting and our door needed better securing as it had to be slammed to shut it. At over £200 for a night including the food I did find it even remotely good value.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Swimming
3.1 Mediocre
Pros: Not much really, the breakfast was pretty good.
Cons: Our room was double booked, an irritation but these things happen. We came back from our evening out and were promised a room had been sorted, we went upstairs and walked in on another guest sleeping! Fortunately they extremely calm but this is completely unacceptable. We then tried another room and the same thing happened! Finally on the third attempt and after an hour of waiting we were provided a room. This has completely ruined my hotel experience and simply cannot recommend this hotel.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Easy access to NEC & lovely staff that couldn’t do enough for you
Cons: Awful breakfast
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff helpful and polite. bar staff polite . Restaurant value for money.
9.2 Excellent
Cons: The first room I was in was very noisy as there was an event on, but they gave me another room no problem, so no issues in the end everything else was lovely.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Check-in was open until 3am, which was very good for me, as I got held up with other commitments.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Excellent evening meal in restaurant. Good service quick check in
Cons: Very hot in room opened windows which helped us get to sleep. Room was clean and beds comfortable.
6.0 Good
Pros: facilities and price self-driving friendly.
Cons: Bathroom is slippery Staffs are of bad service 15mins walk to the train station (not convenient for luggage holders) No shuttle bus to the airport and it is time consuming walking to the airport. So you need uber.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location
Cons: Blocked toilet & broken kettle & no shower gel
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This hotel is in a great location for the NEC and the airport with free parking and within walking distance. The rooms are nice spacious and clean. I've stayed here 5 times now
Cons: I have to say that this time we found the hotel cold. From arriving the room was cold turned the heating up but took several hours to get just warm. Went down to the bar which was also cold. I said to the barman how cold it was and he agreed it was and turned the heating up but with the doors continually opening and one remaining constantly open with the temerature outside -2C it wasn't comfortable most people had their coats on. The same the next morning in the breakfast room I could feel the cold air on my feet and legs!

5.7 Okay
Cons: Check in process needs improving
1.0 Poor
Pros: Leaving.
Cons: Hotel terrible. Paid a lot of money for an executive room. Room was tired, shabby with broken wardrobe doors. Restaurant was filthy, don't think the carpet had been hoovered in week, loads of food dropping all over it. Piles of crockery lying everywhere. Hate to think what state of cleanliness the kitchen would be but walked out as couldn't face eating there. Dreadful hotel to be avoided.
6.8 Good
Pros: Very nice staff
Cons: Therooms are very dated - No double glazing so quite noisy and the TVs are very dated and often stop working.
10.0 Excellent

Pros: The location is good, just in the center.
Cons: About the question "how was the breakfast", the croassants weren't fresh on Monday morning. They were from the previous day.

Pros: everything
Cons: nothing to dislike
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Facility and service
Cons: Not enough space in the room - no table I book twin room, I ve been given double - we were 2 men sleeping in one big bed
2.0 Mediocre
Cons: I found the whole experience disappointing. Extra charges for leisure services and car- parking, push up the price that appears on booking.com. When checking in, I wasn't advised how to deal with payment for my car being parked, the younger of the 2 receptionists seemed more interested in discussing an event they had on with one of the security guards. I had to ask for directions to find my room from a colleague. When I arrived to have my evening meal l sat at the back of the restaurant on some high-backed seats which were under a 'grass wall'. There was pieces of this wall amongst food deposits at the back of the seats where they met the back rest. When I reported this to a gentleman based on reception for the evening- his response when I asked would it be getting cleaned ?, was extremely frustrating as in a dismissive tone was 'of course it will be!' What a surprise then (not) when I attended for breakfast and the same debris remained!! I was assisted by the lady on reception on my checking out, advising on the process regarding paying for my car parking and ensuring that she brought Mark, the Manager on shift, to speak about the state of the seating area in the Restaurant. He apologised and reassured attention to it and I witness him speaking to Restaurant staff as I was leaving. I often stay in Village hotels as I work across the country, but Solihull branch may well be off my list of options .

Pros: They gave us a room in a quiet zone so the baby wouldn't be disturbed. We got a very quiet room and were delighted.
Cons: Room service wasn't great. Stained teaspoons in the coffee/tea caddy were worrying. The baby's crib had a solid base and he really didn't like it. We used the bedspread from our bed as a mattress and he slept straight away. The next morning Room Service put the bedspread back on our bed. Obviously a comfy baby isn't a priority

Pros: Very clean, tidy and modern
Cons: Nothing really
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The decor was stylish. Comfy bed. Nice room service menu.
Cons: Hotel pool ans facilities a little worn and old.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: It's a nice central location. Staff were brilliant, very friendly Had dinner there the first night which was very good Breakfast was excellent
Cons: The pool and gym area badly need a refurb. The changing rooms were cramped and a bit dirty
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast expensive for what it was
Cons: Gym could of been bigger long wait for machines
7.0 Good
Pros: The room was a great size and layout with a huge bed and the bathroom was extremely modern. The cleanliness of the hotel was good. Sauna and jacuzzi were nice and the food was tasty (however pricey). It is in a great location and not even 5 minutes walk into the centre of solihull. The breakfast was very nice and there was a great selection to chose from.
Cons: Heating would not reach above 20.5 degrees and even when I had put it to the max of 28 degrees there was no increase. I'm guessing the hotel has it limited which at this time of year is not ideal especially at night (see photo attached). The spa facilities were ok however the steam room was quite dilapidated and the changing rooms needed a good clean. Sauna, pool and jacuzzi were ok though. Most of the staff were great and friendly however there was a Male member of staff on the front desk who was less than helpful when asking which conference room to attend. The food in the bar was extremely pricey with the cheapest proper meal being £16.50 for a piece of lasagne with salad and a piece of garlic bread. The food was nice however there are plenty of reasonably priced bars and restaurants with a 5 minute walk.

9.0 Excellent
Pros: No lock on the bathroom door
6.0 Good
Pros: Cheap, good location for the NEC as only 15 mins drive.
Cons: The breakfast was pretty dull and no good veggie options. We had the room nearest the bar and had to wear earplugs as people in the bar were quite loud until late into the night.
6.3 Good
Pros: Staff friendly and location was good. It was the only room left do I suspect other rooms may have been better l.
Cons: The room was shabby and the headboard on the bed was very dusty and grubby. It was on the ground floor and was geared towards disabled people which was fine apart from the fact that the shower room was a wet room and very cold. The door to the wet room was wooden and was totally warped and split from the water in the room. The carpet was very marked and not very clean looking. However it was quite cheap at £49 compared with the more popular places but to be honest I would rather have paid the extra.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I was able to send a message through booking.com to hotel asking for a quiet room away from the function room and bar and the hotel did that for me the location was great as it's not far away from motorway
Cons: The room i stayed in could have done with some freshening up with some paint and there was some damage to the wall behind the door so a few maintenance issues not resolved before anyone else checked in to that room
5.8 Okay
Pros: Evening meals were top quality
Cons: The bedrooms , changed 3 times, the 1st room TV did not work , second room very cold and shower tray making gurgling noise and I didn't even use it, 3rd room ok however had constant ventilation noise all night so could not sleep

3.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location. Room was very quiet
Cons: The window in the room was left open - this was February during Storm Chiara! Heating was off from when I arrived (10 pm) until 8 am the next day, which meant I was freezing the whole night and there was no extra blanket in the room. The mattress was horrible, definitely had seen better days - it was completely sunken in the middle, I could feel the springs against my back. Impossible to have a comfortable night.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: matress wasnt good
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Near my working place, clean, all refurbished and with parking space and 24 hour reception
Cons: Unfortunately in the adjacent room there was a crying toddler who woke me up three times overnight but not the hotel’s fault although they could have put me a room far from a family room being during the week and unlikely a full hotel. This is the second time I visit Regent and in both rooms there isnt a plug near the bed to charge my phone and computer but it is at the opposite end of the room from where the bed is located.
7.1 Good
Pros: I liked the room and it was close to where I needed to be. My stay was generally comfortable. The staff were helpful.
Cons: My room had a few issues, nothing major, but enough to be annoying. The bathroom plug didn't work so I had to operate it manually. Then it was fixed, but the drain smelt, so I had to leave the extractor fan on, which was noisy.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location for my visit was good. The room was clean and comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast wasn’t included in the price of the room.
4.6 Okay
Pros: Location.
Cons: Rooms were very dated and needed a good clean. The rooms were also very noisy, and you can hear every time some one walks around or flushed the toilets in the rooms above.
5.0 Okay
Cons: The restaurant staff really let down this hotel. We stay twice a year for work and usually it is good, however this time we were disappointed. On our arrival day we were told dinner would be served from 6:30pm. We came down to the restaurant at 7pm, to be told that the restaurant was not ready yet and to wait in the bar area. We were not told to order at the bar so waited and waited for a drink. Eventually I decided to get up and ask what was happening. The barmaid took our drinks order, but did not apologise for the wait. We asked to see the menu, so we could at least decide what to eat and fortunately another member of staff came and took our food order. She explained that by the time it is cooked, the restaurant would be ready. We sat with our drinks until 8pm and lots of different staff seemed to be wondering around not really doing much at all. No rush to finish sorting out the restaurant. Another few couples were in the same situation but the staff really did not seem to care. Then another member of staff comes back to us, saying that we were given incorrect menus so the food we ordered (and were looking forward to) could not be made!!! We finally got taken through to the restaurant at 8:30pm and reordered our food from the ‘correct’ menu. A starter and a main later, we didn’t actually finish eating until around 9:30pm and we had to be up for work very early in the morning. It just wasn’t a good experience at all. Food was fine but service was terrible!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable and clean good breakfast pleasant staff..
Cons: Room very hot.... Could not get cup if tea or coffee in bar in evening

Cons: Mattress: back ache every day Strong smell of paint.
8.0 Excellent
