If the rental booking could automatically, and CLEARLY notify customers that they absolutely have to use a credit card for their booking, it would save alot of headaches for customers and your alls reps. When I booked mine with a debit card, the confirmation made it seem like everything was fine, and even said to bring the credit/debit card I booked with. It knows I'm doing a way trip. So in this day and age, an automatic warning would be awesome, instead of being told "its the policy" and I should have read it 3 paragraphs down

We had a 73 day rental. We had to go to the airport twice for 30 day checks. It was a nuisance as the car wasn't even checked. Could this be looked into please? Over 73 days our milage was around 1,500 so not over used.

The rental location was extremely hard to find. The car was not available at our reservation time, so we waited 3 hours to pick it up. We were assured that the car had wi-fi, but it did not. The GPS system was mediocre and in French. Turning the car in was extremely difficult with no staff person at the garage. In summary, the worst car rental experience I have ever experienced!!!

Had to wait 20 min for a Bidget shuttle while 7 (yes seven) shuttles for Alamo, Enterprise and almost every other rental car passed by. When we got to the rental car building the line to rent wrapped clear around the building. Serious 75 yard long line. It was unbelievable, the longest I’ve ever seen for a rental co. And it moved at a snails pace. Hours. Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable

The airport made it very self explanatory to get the car back with white letters on the road to direct you back to the rental car return. Made me smile. It was really hard to find the shuttle driver and when we did it took us to a sketchy feeling part of town took us into a warehouse and had us talk with a representative with a very heavy accent over a computer screen. We were not told where to bring the car back - turns out we had to find the sketchy warehouse back and they could not take us back to our hotel even though it was closer than the airport.

There was a minor scratch at the bottom of the front bumper which is not visible unless you are on your knees. As far as I am concerned we didn’t do anything to cause it. It may be already there and we didn’t notice when we took the care at midnight. At any rate my gripe is with how they handled this situation. We bought most expensive coverage possible with them which is twice the rental price itself. But during checkout they stalled us because of this issue even though we told them that we are cutting too close to our departure time and requested them to call the insurance and get it reimbursed because we already bought the coverage. But they insisted on us calling them and we couldn’t because we didn’t have local mobile plan. After lot of back and forth they checked other contracts on the vehicle and probably figured out that the damage was already there and the let us off the hook. It was a happy ending but the whole drama could have been avoided if they had customer service at the forefront of their minds.

No point in asking pre check in only to ask for the same info at the desk. Waiting in line 20 minutes to get car is unacceptable. I was not aware I rented a fully electric vehicle until I got to the desk to check in. After agreeing to that I walked out to garage to have to wait in line again. Came to my turn and no electric vehicle available. I was good with "upgrade" to another vehicle. Overall experience was horrible. I won't rent from dollar again.

The check in process was poor, at best. I was told to go back inside after the kiosk associate told me I was in the wrong to see her first. This was incorrect. I had a contract as a VIP member and the sign posted about check in prior to 11am was correct which it wasn’t. Once I received my car and logged it with SunPass and loaded bags I was denied exit due to a registration issue/given the wrong 3 row SUV. I was asked to drive back, see the same rude woman and get a new SuV. Unload. Load again. Re-register with SunPass. Oh, except this time the car they gave me was the body of a three row SUV without the option ticked for the seats themselves. Lovely, as I needed the seats for my family and not so much for the extra bag space. I left. Made it worked but so aggravating. No more Dollar. Worth spending the extra money for SIXT.

There was a long (2 hours) queue when picking up the car at the airport. When picking up the car it had been cleaned with a very smelly cleaner. The smell did not go away during the entire 3 week rental. The dropping off was easy and fast - so it was totally opposite experience between picking up and dropping off the car. The deposit paid when picking up the car was returned within a few days.

I was charged an additional $450 for insurance that I declined. I didn’t notice until after I left the airport, so I called the 800 number. I was told that I could go to any hertz location and they would fix it. The next morning I went and found a hertz location near where I was staying and they said that I had to return to the airport (an hour away). The employee said that they get 10+ people coming in everyday with the same complaint so apparently this is their regular practice! I will be disputing it with my credit card company.

getting a ride from airport took half an hour, initial phone contact number didn't pick up, 17 callers wait for call to be answered. At drop off in early morning the office was closed, fortunetly one of the hotel workers saw me and another woman and told us where to park and drove us to airport.There should have been a sign at door directing to Hotel.

Took forever for the shuttle to arrive. The people getting off of the shuttle told me good luck getting a car. When we got to the rental car facility, the customers that were already there had been waiting so long to get their cars, I called an Uber instead so I didn’t miss my appointment. Customer service was not good. We had a flat, we were in Tennessee and it was raining and when we call for assistance they told us that since we had a complete tire in the trunk we had to change the tire. If we have to change the tire again then we had to call for road assistance. It was a complete disaster.

I returned the car early and still got charged the full rate. The only reason I us d them , is cause everyone else was booked and it was a emergency. It was $350 more than everyone else. If it wasn't a emergency , I wouldn't have even used them. I will never use them again. The lady at the pickup was very friendly and helpful, but that doesn't make you for the rest of the service.

I initially reserved some kind of Jeep. The website offered an upgrade to a BMW X2, which is a lot smaller. At the counter I told them I needed to carry 3 people and luggage. The back only held 2 suitcases, so the third had to go in the back seat. The only option they had to get something bigger would have cost a lot more per day. I should not have upgraded. The employee only gave me options for full coverage or basic coverage, not no coverage. I think that is very deceptive. After arriving at my hotel I called about exchanging it for something bigger and was told I would receive a call or email in 24-36 hours. I never received a call or email. Overall I was very disappointed in this company.

I was charged for an extra day and numerous other unknown fees. The agent wants able to print a receipt, so the surprise came when I checked my account and requested an ereciept. The price ended up double what I intended to pay.

I rented 2 vehicles online and nothing was listed about not accepting debit cards. When my husband and son arrived, they were told we couldn’t use a debit card. The only credit card we have has a low limit (our choice) and wouldn’t support both rentals after the “hold” fees were added. Avis finally allowed us to use our debit card after making my husband feel like they were doing us an enormous favor. He also had to do all the paperwork again so what was done online was useless. Then they had his name wrong and after pointing it out, she crossed through it and told him to sign. I had purchased the additional insurance online but she insisted that we hadn’t and added it again so now I have to fight that. We also paid for a gps which came with a broken cord which we didn’t know until we were on the road so we had no way to charge it. This was the poorest experience we’ve ever had renting a vehicle and we won’t use Avis again.

The sales pressure at pickup for various features, and the confusing gas system (why can't it be easier / more intuitive?) felt too much.

I prepaid for a van at Hertz HLE. We ordered for $100 round-trip and they had no vehicle available for me. They did not seem to care either.

The staff at this Hertz office is awful. Thoroughly unprofessional. Almost impossible to reach by phone, and rude when you do.

They cancelled my reservation - had to scramble and find another one with no help from assigned location - will just always rent directly and not use Kayak anymore.

They advertised that their cars were clean but upon picking up the seat there were two dirty masks, one of which had a lipstick stain on it, an orange and popcorn on the seat. This is Hertz' idea of clean? It's an embarrassment. I have a picture to prove it if interested or if they want to improve on their idea of cleanliness. It's hard to believe Hertz actually had a sticker on the car trumpeting how proud they are with their cleanliness.

Great car that us comfortably from point A to B and back again. Customer service in person reps were nice, rental process was quicker than I thought and drop off was super easy. And did I mention the great price? I will use Thrifty again!

Booked the vehicle online Paid for vehicle rental and insurance at that time. When got to Thrifty was told that insurance didnt cover driving. Had to buy more insurance which I could have purchased cheaper at home. For what we paid there were a lot of other options available . Felt a little ripped off after getting what appeared decent value

They tried to give me an electric car since I picked a surprise vehicle. I thought the size would be a surprise. Wanted to charge me more for gas car. I refused. Car given to me was dirty and damaged inside. Didn't notice until.I left since I was in a hurry.

Pickup was tedious. Lines, waiting... they said it was due to construction. I say after a week of construction they'd had enough time to get things working properly.

I would like to see check in on line and eliminate the long wait lines at Orlando Airport. Take your confirmation across the street to the rental car parking lot and ck in with an attendant from dollar or thrifty. In the long run, it would make the operation run more quickly and smoothly
