Pros: It ran smooth.
Cons: I had a push to start and the car locked while the key was inside the car. Also the headlights were 2 dim could barely see the road.

Pros: Close to terminal
Cons: Visiting Orlando on business surrounded by vacationing tourists is a nightmare. The line at the counter was 10+ deep and there was nobody attending it. So, bypassed it and walked to the car lot, where they give me what I reserved (no larger vehicles available). The car was filthy, but I'm in a hurry, so kept it. Driving it to convention site the smell was terrible. Pointed it out when returning it and the poor guy said sometimes their quality is affected when busy. Obviously.

Cons: Everything seemed fine at first, got a better rate , but although options chosen were from Orlando international, counter said it was for a location downtown. Ended up costing approximately $50-$60 more than what we booked.

Cons: When I returned the car, I had to wait over 15 minutes after parking before a staff member checked me out.

Poor Pick Up and Drop Off
Pros: Comfortable driving car.
Cons: Preferred member car was not ready at the pick up desk, and the lady was very hard to understand with her accent. Turn in of car was backed up and congested.

Long wait times
Pros: The affordability of the rental was acceptable to me and my family
Cons: Upon arrival of the pick up desk we found the line to be really long. Our pick up time was at 10am and we waited a little over an hour in just the line. As a destination location we thought the service would have been more efficient if there were more service rep desks open. No other car rental services had lines as long, and there were only two out of what looked like five or six stations open. After about 30-40 of waiting, another service member asked if people would like to walk to the other terminal for a shorter line. Although that was a nice gesture we feel that it could have been solved by staffing more reps in a busy spring break season.

Great Price, Overall Fast Service-Disappointed wit
Pros: Great price, and no hidden fees or expenses. Easy and quick pick up and drop off. Vehicle was clean and new.
Cons: It was described as a 7+ passanger van with space for 5 suit cases. However, could not take out or put down the seats making it extremely difficult to put our luggage, stroller, etc., in the van. We asked what we could do when leaving the gate to move or remove the extra seats to accommodate our baggage and we were told there was nothing that could be done. The vehicle description was correct in stating "for 7+ passengers", but not made to transport suitcases or other larger items. Back packs or personal items that can stow at your feet only.

Cons: They profit that we dont speak very good english a charge us all the possible fees. Upgrade, insurence etc. Se feel stolen

Good value and service, but first rental was a mes
Pros: Convenient location at the airport. Car was switched out quickly - 2nd car was clean and new.
Cons: First car was dirty and smelly - had to swap out.

Not what I wanted
Cons: The car advertised was in a different class , so not possible to have unless I paid for an up grade. Plus the Cadillac CTS I was told thay haven't had one for as long as they could remember. , no choise in cars only one available not American, not a V8. Quite disappointed.

Service and satisfaction
Pros: I loved my initial reception at the Desk by your customer Service Representative. He was courteous, informative and efficient. I expressed the same sentiments to the manager that same night.
Cons: I got stopped by a cop who said that I was driving a car with a license plate registered to another car. That was a little emotional to my family.

Not great attention to detail, but ok
Cons: No one told me that my car had a lock on how high the audio could go, and a lock on the speedometer too. Never seen that before. Also, there was a crumpled piece of trash on the seat as I got in. Just a small thing, but details like this count against my overall opinion.

Didn't have the car I rented

Cons: Rented a luxury car but was told it would be at least 45 min before they could locate and get one onsite. That's the point of renting ahead of time....

Beware of pickup location
Pros: Both times I called Avis Customer Service the representatives I spoke with were very nice and were able to accommodate my needs. When I called about the bill they changed it to the right amount and credited my account within 2 business days. I had a high fuel charge, which was completely my fault, but still she cut the charge in half for me without me even asking.
Cons: Let me start by saying I never write reviews, but I couldn’t resist given what happened to me. I booked my car with Avis through Kayak, 7 monthly in advance. I knew I was traveling during college spring break and wanted to get a decent rate. I flew into the Orlando airport, alone, and headed over to the Avis pick up garage. There, they told me that my reservation was not at the airport location, but another Avis in Orlando that was about 20 minutes away. They sent me down to the Avis costumer service saying they might be able to help me. The woman behind the counter didn’t even attempt to help, telling me its spring break, and they are booked, yet she said she could rent me a car for $600, when my reservation rate was $220 for a full size car. When I explained that I put in for a pickup at MCO, which is the airport code for Orlando airport, she told me that if they were sold out, then it might of automatically bumped me to another Orlando Avis. When I explained that I booked 7 MONTHS in advance she told me that its possible they were sold out that far out. So then I had to take a half hour, $45 cab ride to the Avis on East Colonial Drive in Orlando, which also looks to be a used car lot. There, the lady behind the counter was friendly, but was talking on the phone the entire time i was at the counter. She gives me keys to a Chevy Equinox, which looked really nice, I thought my luck was changing, not so! This Chevy was 1 of 3 rentals on the property, so my options were limited. The outside was completely dirty, which I was not bothered by. The car was un upgraded model, with leather and a sunroof, BUT the inside was completely discussing, the car had stains and crumbs everywhere. When the lady ask if the car was ok I told her it was dirty on the inside, she told me to just mark it on the form. So, threw out the week with the car, I called Avis to see if I could drop the car off at the Orlando airport location for no extra charge, which they were able to accommodate for me. I drop the car off with no problem, I’m handed a receipt , which I didn’t even look at right away because I had all my luggage and needed to go catch my flight. When I came home and did look at it, I noticed they charged my $440, which is literally double what my service agreement said.

Pros: Employee was extremely polite. car was clean and smelled new. (no smoke smell) /check in and out was quick and easy. I will deff. use them again. well done
