Wanted to extend rental for 3 days. Called Payless # on receipt pamphlet. I was told it was Budget line and they did not handle Payless. When I questioned the pamphlet # I was told " must be a misprint. I then went to Ft Myers desk at airport and told me I had to "return car and re-rent" costing me 4x the amount $. Cons:Worst rental experience ever. Waited over 2 1/2 hours to get a car and then they did not have what we pre ordered. Ended up having to go back the next day and they then tried to bill us an additional $200 + dollars for a car we never asked for. Poor customer service poor overall experienceReviewed 2 Apr 2021

Pros:Staff was friendly. Car ran well and the return experience was fine.Cons:The line was entirely too long at Fort Meyers. I waited an hour in line to get to an agent. Cons:We needed to shorten our rental from 7 days to 4 because of Coronavirus. We called 2 days before returning; the man told my husband they had no record of our rental!!! He tried again the next day and was told he couldn't change it; we should deal with it at the return. At the return, they told us we will have to call customer service, they cannot make changes like that. Of course customer service is telling us we should have dealt with it at the return!!! Is this the only company not working with customers during this unforeseen national crisis??!Reviewed 19 Mar 2020

Pros:I liked the price of renting.Cons:Gas tank wasn't full. When I dropped car off the employees were inattentive and awkward. When I picked the car up, the gentleman assisting me said, "I think it's that car, but just walk around until you find it." It wasn't that car...and I proceeded to walk around for 10 mins.
