Person at pick up is unethical and takes advantage of people with up charges. I was a little early and he claimed that he didn’t have a mid size car and that I had to pay for an upgrade. Bill was 150 more than what I signed up for and when I got to the pickup area it was a Hundai Elantra - a mid size car. These people are cheats and manipulators. The pick up and drop off from the airport was very easy. All the rental car places are in a big hub and there’s a shuttle from the airport. The person who checked us in was like an auctioneer - he talked a mile a minute to us while talking to his co-workers on either side. We declined the collision and told us the he upgraded us at no cost. But in fact, he charged us for both of these. When I asked why to total was so high he said that there is a 38% airport tax! ( which there is but I can’t do math that fast). It ended up being $350 for a compact for 3 days. The car was fine. The service was super shady and I was scammed.Reviewed 2 Sept 2024

The agent at the counter was not friendly at all when asked for the breakdown of the charges after your original total balance they added a bunch of different other charges including a mandatory $9.95 toll fee per day whether u pass a toll or not. The total was about $100. She wanted a complete paper copy of my Allstate Insurance to prove I have Full Coverage in my vehicle. I decline. Super BAD experience with this mediocre service of payless ARUBA. I WONT RECOMMEND ANYONE to rent a car. You wonder why.....??? Well if you have a confirmation with PAYLESS ARUBA beware that you can arrive at the counter for pick up you confirmed rental car and the employer will tell you that there is no car reserved for your booking. And keep in mind that this stupid airport location opens at 10am and I had to wait 2 hours for them to open and than telling me that they don't have my reserved midsized carReviewed 28 Aug 2024

I was told to go in front of the Avis booth on the third floor and my parking space was “Rush”. There isn’t actually a space labeled Rush. They were apparently washing a vehicle to bring up. I waited approximately 30 minutes and no vehicle showed up. I went back down to the desk and there were no people to help me. They disappeared. An Avis lady helped me. Over the walkie talkie the Payless folks claimed they sent up the vehicle. Someone else confirmed there was no vehicle waiting anywhere. She booked me with another vehicle. When returning, a gentleman all but finished checking me in, but then passed me off to another who started the process all over again. I subsequently received two receipts by email.
