The hotel location is marvelous. Enjoying the street from the balcony (Yes the room had a beautiful balcony ) to the Amalfi center. The family environment made me feel like home. our daughter enjoyed the stay a lot. The room we stayed was cleverly split with a intermediate floor as bedroom increasing the space.
Our room in Residence Luce is very clean, comfortable and spacious. Because of low season, we've got upgraded to a junior suite which was very nice. The breakfast was much better than we expected for a B&B. There were cheese, ham, eggs, juices, milk, cereals, muffins, different types of bread, cakes, tarts and even fresh fruits, though I think there were only two of us there. We can see that lots of efforts were made to build a reputation for the place.
staff is so kind.
The room was very clean and the attention to detail was excellent. The prices of the mini bar was very reasonable and the location was right in the middle of the town. Would be good to know in advance that the parking wasn't free but it wasn't a major problem.
The location of the hotel is perfect, very nice and comfortable, and the people are very welcoming and helpfull!
centrally located near the dome plaza in Amalfi center - easy to find and only a 300 m from the central bus station in Amalfi - a very warm welcome by Vincenzo's very friendly team - tasteful furnished rooms - lovelly house and people - we would always choose Residenza Luce again! nothing
very friendly -- superb welcome, help with car parking by owner Vincenzo because the apartment was stayed in is 2-story, when the heat was on, the lower part was a bit cold when the top was comfortable.
Vincenzo and his staff were so friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was comfortable and immaculate. Vincenzo's cafe, located a few steps away in a quiet piazza provided a nice refuge from the nearby touristy and busy duomo piazza. I would stay at the hotel again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel on the Amalfi Coast.
This was our favourite place in all of Italy! Vinchenzo went out of his way at every oppertunity to help us, organizing both a trip to Pompei and a cooking lesson for us. The hotel is beautiful, clean and spacious. It was truly the only place we stayed that had thoughtful and modern decor. Breakfast was delicious, and there was a big spread every morning (cheeses, bread, meats, cakes, pastries, oj, yogurt and coffee). We would stay again without hesitation. Nothing. Vinchenzo and his family were lovely, warm and helpful. The room was clean and modern with beautiful tiles and hardwood. The loft was nice because it gave us more room to spread out and relax.
Brilliant staff, lovely room, great location. This place really did live up to all of the very positive customer reviews.
Lovely garden terrace, with deck chairs looking over the sea. Nice marble bathroom. Staff couldnt have been more helpful and welcoming. Made restaurant reservations for us, helped plan our trip to airport, etc. etc. No. A long climb up to the hotel from beach or main street, but even though we were not particularly fit, it was very do-able. And fantastic views from hotel made up for it
The manager went "above and beyond'" to help us. After four days, we left with many good memories.
The view!! What a view. We stayed in the Junior Suite with a little private garden. Breakfast is servd on a patio with a great view as well. It was great. The staff is very friendly and helpfull. Giacomo suggested a few restaurants and even resereved a table for us at La Strada on our first night. It was excellent. The room is comfortable and has air-conditioning. We really enjoyed our stay! Nothing. Everything was great. It didn't bother us at all, but be warned. The 200 steps to the hotel can be exhaustive, if you have a lot of luggage.
The views were fantastic and very peaceful surroundings, the stairs were tough but worth it when you got to the top.
Excellent, warm and friendly staff at the Villa Il Frantoio, clean, well maintained and well equipped rooms. Spectacular scenary and surrounding.
The view was amazing, staff very friendly and the room it self was very clean and tidy. We could not fault it.
The view not easily accessible...too many steps
The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The views from the hotel are spectacular and the atmposphere is very peaceful. The hotel (including the romm, bathroom and terrace) is beautiful, recently renovated, and very tastefully designed. We had a great time at Villa Il Frantoio and strongly recommend it. The hotel is not suited for people who have trouble climbing stairs. However, if this is not an issue (and it wasn't for us), it is an excellent accommodation option.
unique atmosphere; great staff, beautiful view location can be difficult to find and navigate
The staff and ambiance of the hotel were superb! Very helpful and friendly staff and some of the best capucinos we've ever had. We even enjoyed the steps involved getting to and from the hotel. (Not for the weak-of-heart, 200m the 40 steps down OR 220 steps from the village up-- to get to the beach from the village it was another 400 or so steps, lost count after a while, but quite the scenery and quite enjoyable). The view was quite good, although a bit overstated on the web-site. Mosquitos could be a problem, in the area although at the hotel they were quite kind as to provide repellants for the room so we had no problem! Our bathroom had a bit of a mold problem.
The location is fantastic as it is a 30 second walk from the main Piazza (Dumo). The hotel / b&b is a fantastic find, the rooms are lovely and large with a nice finish. The staff are fantastic and really very attentive and willing to help in any way they can. The continental breakfast is very nice. N/A
Brand new rooms with 2 rooms and 2 flat screen TVs, lovely tiles, nice shower, bidet and toiletries Had ants and many flies in the room at check in and after cleaning staff were in
The room was large with an excellent shower and the breakfasts were freshley prepared by the owners. Lack of view - our room was on the ground level.
The Staffs was very kind and nice.
Huge bedroom and bathroom, modern and clean, excellent staff assistance, center of Ravello just below piazzo duomo Small continental breakfast, overlooked a carpark on one side but center of Ravello which is why we stayed here
Excellent rooms for a very reasonable price! The location is brilliant, right next to Ravello Square. Very simply run hotel but we were extremely happy with everything. No nothing, everything was brilliant!
Pietro and his staff were very helpful. The room was bright and clean and the scenery was beautiful. The continental breakfast was great and nicely served. Proximity to Ravello musical concerts was a plus.
peaceful, spacious rooms, great breakfast on terrace, views of hills lovely. wifi useless, and an unexpected car park location - not a problem in October, but not clear at booking.
new small hotel, good location to visit Ravello. big rooms very clean, staff (one person) service very good. Parking in public area, cost 10-15 euro a day.
The location was perfect as my family (older children) and I were visiting Ravello for a family wedding in the square above the hotel. Pietro and Anna, the owners, were very friendly and helpful. Would certainly recommend this hotel.
We spent a wonderful time in Locanda Costa D'Amalfi. The service was perfect and we became a room with view on the sea, which was simply amazing. The breakfast was also very special.
Wonderfull hotel! We have spent fantastic time there. The stuff is very nice, friendly and responsive. Thank to them a lot for their help and assistance during our stay. It is not in the center, but close to Inn the beaches are much cleaner. Sea is crystal. To get to the sea you should get over a long steps down to the beach. The way back is better to do by boat to Amalfi (every 20min). There is very pituresque view from the spacious terrace. Also two very nice restaurants just 30 mt from the Inn. The one which is opposite side of the road has really delicious food, I would even say Haute Cuisine. Not cheap but it worth it. The restaurant in the next building is also nice, but service is not very good. My best recommendations for the hotel!
Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Pino even went to the trouble of taking my rental car to a body shop to get a dent on the door fixed that was caused in a public parking....and it didn't cost a dime! They park your car for you and even give you a lift to local restaurants or the town of Amalfi nearby so you don't need to use your car and fight for parking spots. Breakfast was good too! We booked the room with the Sea View and it had a balcony with table and chairs and an excellent view of the sea and sunrise. A large person would have a hard time in the shower because it is a bit small....just don't drop your bar of soap and you'll be fine. ;-) You can hear the traffic go by so it was a bit noisy from our Sea View room, but things quiet down during the night so there was no problem sleeping.
This hotel was very attractive, beautiful tiles, very clean and the view from our room's balcony was wonderful. Even though it is located next to the road it was quiet enough at night. The owners were very helpful and even drove us into Amalfi town, as the hotel is located a bit out of the town. I would stay there again.
The staff was very friendly and incredibly helpful. They went so far as to get us cut rate deals and would also help us out by driving us short distances. The staff truly were amazing.
Friendly and attentive staff that go out of their way to help.
Breakfast was delicious! I recommend the fresh peach juice! Staff very helpful and friendly. Easy to get to from Sita bus from Sorrento. Bathrooms very clean. Balcony/terrace was absolutely beautiful. Will probably return on my next trip. Lots of steps to the beach. Not bad going down but definitely not fun going back up after a few glasses of wine!
It really is a palace. The paintings on the walls make it look like you're inside Hampton Court Palace, with raised borders and painted shadows from the chandellier light source. The furniture is original antique and more than enough storage space. Spa bath was awesome too. Truly a privilege. Parking is a little inconvenient.
The hotel was stylish and quirky and good fun to stay in. The staff were really friendly, helpful and flexible however it helped that I could speak some Italian as there was very little English between them. The location was spot on - just 5 mins from the beach and with a nice view of the sea from our lovely little balcony. I became very fond of the hotel whilst there. The room was gorgeous but the bathroom, though nicely designed and functional, needed improvement - perhaps we were suffering from an end of summer booking. We had asked for twin beds but got a double; they agreed to swap the bed but never did - not the end of the world for us but others might be more uptight about this. Be prepared to carry your bag up 2 flights of steep stone steps!
The idea is good but it is nowadays a little decadent. The breakfast was "boring" and the terrasse needs an updating (urgently). The service people were very kind but not able to solve problems (TV not working). The building and the idea is really nice but everything needs tobe updated.
Hotel owner, Rina is very kind and friendly. Nice view from room. Dinner was good but costly for menu. If you bring heavy bags, I wouldn't recommend you the hotel, because there are lots of steps to reach hotel from the parking. I will never stay hier again.
the view ,the natural place, the hospitality, the cusine.
Villa Rina was beautiful with excellent service and very friendly and helpful staff. The location was excellent, the rooms were clean and most had a great view of the water. Also, the food provided was very good and made with all fresh ingredients from the garden. We had a great time staying here and would definitely stay here again!
Very hospitable, excellant food with a homely atmosphere. Definately not for the faint-hearted the hotel is up a lot of steps or down a lot depending on where you start from but it is a) well worth the climb and b) Victor will carry your baggage making the trip up a pleasure. The view from the hotel is amazing. If Rina offers to cook you dinner say yes, we had the best meals we have had since arriving in Italy. Nothing.
Room quiet and with a superbe view. Only accessible through more than 400 stair steps. Almost impossible to do by night. No way for those with any kjind of health or locomotion problems.
Everything was excellent. The house is in an amazing location, overviewing the sea and the hills. It was the most beautiful place we ever visited. Rina is a wonderful host and she took care of us like she was a part of the family, from greeting us with lemonade and giving us indications about what to visit, to searching for transport connections when we wanted to leave. Also, the food was excellent and we we would love to go to her cooking classes. We will for sure return here when we will have the chance. It is not easy to walk the steps to the house when coming home late and tired. But Amalfi is built on a hill and you have to make a little effort to enjoy all the amazing things it has to offer.
Rina, views, food - all incredible !!!
The couple that owns the hotel were very nice; additionally, they drove us to the bus stop and picked us up each day as it is a very far walk. The suite we had was very nice and a good value. Great views. The hotel is located on a hill with very limited bus service. The jacuzzi on the solarium does not have a heater.
