Super convenient for going to the Sounders game. Staff was friendly and helpful. Clean and safe place to stay. The bed and pillows were not comfortable, so we both slept terribly.
I liked the location (for the game) And I liked the restaurant and bar. I liked the pool and spa on the roof + extra towels. The staff seemed to be professional and courteous (except in one case) I didn't like the fact that a staff maintenance person barged into my room without notice or knocking then came face to face with me and backed up apologizing out the door without an explanation for the intrusion
YOu can't stay any closer to the stadiums. It's close enough to downtown to walk anywhere, or catching a bus is easy. I was able to watch some of the pre-game activities at SafeCo field from my room. They upgraded me to a King Suite with a view for free (I booked a reg. King Room), the room was spacious, had everything I needed, and overall was very good for being one of the less-expensive rates I could find near downtown. I had to mark things down just a little bit as the drain in the bathroom was clogged just a little, so some of the water would accumulate. There was also an extra bathtub with a shower head (I was in a suite), so I just used that. Not a big hassle. One morning I was working from my room, and they had a fire alarm test at 11am. Not a big deal, but it was a minor annoyance as I had to rush to put clothes on, and scramble out of my room, only to run into maintenance who told me there was no emergency.
The large TV was awesome The view of the stadium was cool Good proximity to the stadiums Wifi sucked Bed was not the best pillows were really soft Slightly noisy with the trains running by and the hallway noise
The manager of this hotel was beyond rude and not at all hospitable. He made my friend and I so uncofortable that we decided not to stay. When I spoke up he got defensive and even more rude. We decided not to stay because of how we were treated.
Bed was very comfortable. Historic hotel from 1910 very near King St. Station. No elevators. No in-room bathroom. No hair dryer. There was something wrong with reservations of all three people checking in at the same time as me.
locaton everything else
The staff was wonderful. My wife and I learned so much about the history of the Panama Hotel. We are referring our traveling family and friends to have their own experience.
Nothing The owner of the hotel was extremely rude to the guests and ourselves. I have never experienced that level of disrespect from a hotel owner/manager in my life. I would never book from them again and they should be dropped from the site.
Character, unique decor, decent location, woman I dealt with upon checking in was warm and professional Price not reflective of quality, mattresses felt cheap, check in delayed due to slow credit card machine, my couch has more personality than younger guy we first interacted with, continental breakfast not open On time and I had a flight to catch so left
The tea house next door was nice and well kept. It's fun to stay in a historic building and be close to many things. There was trash under our bed from pervious guests. The red felt fabric around the bath tub was confusing and the shower was what I would expect to see in a prison.we waited in a empty hall for 10 min. For someone to finally show up to check us in.
Just the location Nothing it's really old and it's not what's it looks like in the pictures And it smells bad
The restaurant Please! Improve the wifi! It not working!
Nothing I didn't like that there was no bathroom or shower in the room, no phone, no tv, no fridge, no clock and there was a devise inside the room that seemed like it could be a listening devise and I felt like I had no privacy or amenities to do anything.
I loved the History. This is not a spa stay, its an experience stay. We very much enjoyed staying in a hotel that was like going back in time to our grandparents era. It was also in walking distance of everything. Very quiet and peaceful for the area. They weren't thrilled about taking cash but they DID accommodate. I personally like to use cash when I travel. There was only one outlet in the room but not that big of a deal considering we were there to sight see not sit on our electronics.
The room was better then I expected. And it was really convenient to the Amtrak station. There is plenty of places around that have good food. It was an interesting glimpse in to what hotels were like at the turn of the 20th century. There is a shower. After a long day the front stairs can be a bit much but it is what it is. The continental breakfast is included which is nice but there is ONE person doing everything in the morning so waits for anything can be a long wait in line.
Wifi and breakfast included. Located near many Seattle attractions (tours, waterfront, stadiums, etc.) in the walkable downtown. Friendly staff. Facilities could use some work, especially the elevator (slow). Room was a bit cramped, but overall good value.
Everything was great until we encountered front desk clerk at check in. There was a misunderstanding about our reservation and for a minute we thought he was not going to rent us the room. Luckily the other desk clerk stepped in and smoothed the situation. Other than that everything was great.
Alex the cons eared was very helpful in booking our tours and getting cabs for us. The breakfast was very good.
Very nice and responsive staff Slow elevator
