Although this hotel is just about a 5 minute drive to downtown, I really liked the location. It's on a corner and easy to find, there are a handful of restaurants and bars within walking distance, and it's just enough out of town to where the streets and traffic aren't keeping you up at night or waking you up early morning. There is a Starbucks connected to the hotel which is nice. Overall it is a very simple but clean hotel. Only negative thing I could say is that the pillows aren't the most comfortable, but that's a small thing to complain about. Otherwise great hotel.
Clean, simple, tasteful. Small undergroundparking area allows fast indoor access to your vehicle directly from elevator. Quiet inside the place- walls seem very thick. awful yellow paint on them however. Nice basic restaurants, beer and grocery within walking distance.
The room was well done, I had great views and the bed was super-comfy! The staff was incredibly helpful and nice. I didn't like paying an extra $18 for parking
Great Location. Clean. Great staff. Room had a great view. Short walk to Needle and other attractions. Good places to eat nearby. Would gladly stay here again. My only gripe is the room was too small with the double beds. It was a bit difficult to move around in the room. This was a minor issue and would not stop me from staying again.
This hotel was so much better than I could have imagined. Extremely clean, friendly staff, amazing location. The rooms were very comfortable and the rooftop view was really nice. It is walking distance to the space needle and pike place market and there are tons of cute restaurants around. They have bikes you can rent and umbrellas that you can check out for free. Parking was $18/night but they did let us leave it in the lot after we had checked out.
The room was clean and the staff were friendly. The room has a kitchenette and the grocery store is right across the street. There is also a rooftop terrace. So go to the store, get some wine and cheese and watch the sun set over the sound. There are a lot of restaurants in the area and you can take the monorail to get into downtown Seattle. Also if you are taking a cruise, they have a shuttle to the piers. We were surprised that the inn does not mention this on their website. Our friends would have stayed there if they knew about this.
Location near restaurants we wanted to dine. No faults
The location of this hotel cannot be beat. Steps away from the Seattle Center and a long walk or quick bus ride or monorail ride away from downtown and Pike Place Market. It wasn't anything fancy, but it was very clean and comfortable. I also loved that they have a little kitchenette in the room, with Safeway across the street and Metropolitan Market (best grocery store in Seattle) two blocks away. There wasn't anything I didn't like. I would definitely recommend this hotel to a friend and would stay here again.
Clean, friendly staff, get a corner room where there's an awesome window that opens up to the outside. We arrived and the gentleman at the desk said our room wasn't quite ready. He said "I have a single bed room available, is that okay?" To which I responded, our room is a double bed room and I pulled out my receipt and showed him, to which he then gave us the correct room. (Which was very nice) During checkout we went up and told them we were leaving and then said we owe $460. I then said, "This was already pre-paid, and pulled out my receipt." He then said "Oh yes, I see it here."
My family has stayed here two times now. We liked it so much the first time, we intentionally booked it for our following trip. The location is great! Close to Seattle center, super convenient public transportation, good food nearby- including an adorable old school bakery. The room we had was SMALL, despite us requesting a larger one at booking/online check in.
Laundry facilities, rooftop viewing area, just a few blocks from the Seattle Center. 30+ downhill walk to Pikes Place.
Location and on-site parking were great. No AC in room. Might not matter on a typical Seattle day, but it was in the 80s and we were on the 5th floor. For $250/night, I expect to be comfortable; we had to keep finding reasons to go out because our room was so hot. Also, many different cleaning products with many different smells=a bit nauseating.
I've stayed in better economy type inns. Cool location , but way dated and a need for up dating. The price didn't match the facilities
Located right on the waterfront. Beautiful common rooms and restaurant to look over the water and watch the sunsets.
This is a beautiful hotel on the water. The rooms are immaculate. The staff always helpful. The restaurant was an added bonus. Would definitely stay again.
As tourists, the location was ideal and right in the middle of a ton of sites and restaurants. The decor and view were incredible as well, and I highly recommend cocktail hour in the gorgeous bar. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and both were incredible. Would absolutely recommend this to friends, and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. The only complaint I have is that we had issues with our fireplace, and while I'm sure 98% of it was user error we also kept getting conflicting information on how to make it work from various hotel staff. We must have asked for instructions on how to turn it on and off four different times and were told four different instructions on how to operate it.
The room and staff were great!!! Clean everything!!! Great location!!! Overpriced valet parking $41.00!!! Just ridiculous!!!
Nice waterfront location & lounge area. A bit dingy & a little shabby. Expensive waterfront room partly obscured by equipment, and staff not helpful w.r.t. finding alternative room. Bar is very loud but nice location & lively.
Bed and pillows were not comfortable
The location and the lobby guest lounge. The lack of parking forces you to use the valet at $41/day. A hotel of this prestige should offer a continental breakfast and free coffee in the dinning area. I've stayed at many hotels in this price range that do offer it and parking for guests is free. Definitely paying for the location and name.
Nice overall Thermostat and fireplace did not work. Shower splashed water out in bathroom.
The location is excellent. Our window opened over the water, literally. Built on a pier so the ocean was literally under our room. Cruise ships docked right out our window. The shuttle service was excellent although we only used it once to get to dinner then walked back so can't speak of the return service. Forced valet parking fee of $41 a night. Adds up pretty quickly. We stayed in a double/double room (no queens???, come on Edgewater) because the only king room available was over the bar which we were warned would have a band playing until midnight. So, my wife and I ended up sleeping in separate beds. Two adults in a double? Love her dearly but we both appreciate a little space when we are sleeping. We were unaware that the only heat source in the room was the fireplace. It was 90+ degrees so we didn't think about it during the day. Of course it kicked on in the middle when the temperature dropped. Didn't bother me much but it did bother my wife who was roasting since her bed was next to the fireplace. Don't get me wrong, the fireplace is a beautiful touch but would have appreciated a bit of warning about it automatically coming on during the night. Seemed a bit strange that the fireplaces in the common areas were lit even though it was record hot days the whole time we were there. I guess that should have been a clue. The shower head was held on with masking tape. Yes, masking tape. There were water stains on the ceilings. It would seem to me that a bit of paint and a new shower head in a room that costs $500 a night would not be an unreasonable expense for maintenance. Heck, use my parking fee for the weekend, that should cover it.
the Staff were So friendly & helpful..and Everyone was always Smiling! Décor was Just what I love...I call it "Rustic Elegance"...food was Very good. My room on the water was perfect and could have sat by my window on the water for Hours. Great location since I had the choice of walking to many things or take your shuttle. Will come again!! Too bad there isn't an "Upper Deck" or terrace on top where people could sit maybe half indoors/half out, to take in the views.
The hotel is very centrally located. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in providing directions to various destinations. Good fitness center. We would definitly stay there again. No coffee available in the lobby and no swimming pool.
Reception staff very helpful and informative Hotel facilities very good for the cost elevators were a bit on the slow side if i am being pickey but other than that everything at the hotel was very good
Cheaper parking Not easy walking area, near a major highway. Have to walk a few blocks to get away from highway to get towards downtown. Not a lot of restaurants in the near vacinity. Did not feel like a heat area, too congested in that area
The hotel is well located for the city centre and the space needle and has a nice bar / restaurant attached. The room was large, well equipted, clean and comfortable. The staff were also very helpful and I would recommend staying here.
Comfortable bed, Good sized room, microwave in room. Very clean. One lift was out of order and wasn't repaired for 2 days. The management were a bit arrogant in not putting a notice on the disabled lift. There were no apologies to the guests. My credit card had been charged and I wanted to pay cash. I had to hunt for city maps and tour brochures. It would be helpful if they were in an obvious place in the main foyer. It was a little far from the centre of town.
The Staff were friendly and helpful. No Air conditioning in the lobby or hallways. My request for a room configuration of 2 double beds was ignored. Not sure if this was the hotel or booking.com
it was very comfort for us and close to the Space Needle. nothing in particular . It`s a bit far from down town , 15 to 20 minutes walk .
Location, clean rooms, very comfortable beds and pillows
It is close to seattle center (5 min walk). It is quite far from seattle downtown. You have to take the public transportation. Not that much restaurants in the neigbourhood
Reasonably close to downtown and the space needle. The restaurant was okay, though breakfast was too expensive. Staff were very professional. Doesn't include free breakfast, even though the Holiday Inn Express that's right behind it does. Bedsheets don't fully cover the queen beds. Free Wi-Fi was so slow as to be worthless (100kB/s).
Close to peoplease I know. Front desk staff very helpful and professional in person. Sketchy area after dark. We left a cherished item in the room and the staff was not helpful at all.
The hotel was very comfortable and the rooms were spacious with all the eminities, such as refridgerator and hair dryer. The staff was very helpful and full filled all our needs from printing out walking instructions to getting us cars to take us to places.
The location of the hotel is great. Great facilities (indoor pool, exercise room), breakfast is included and friendly staff. Parking can be hard to get in the garage when other patrons occupy two parking spots by not properly parking in a spot.
Clean and friendly staff Need more guest laundry facilities
Guest services where nice and helpful. Always greeted us with a smile. Breakfast was great! The staff was on top of things. Room was clean and spacious. Close to the space needle, EMP museum and Chillouly Slow elevator. A .10 mile walk to some restaurants. Really minor things. We had a great stay overall.
The staff was friendly , the location was awesome. They charged me twice for my room and had issues refunding my money , I probably won't be back because it was such a problem that didn't get solved in a timely manner.
Nothing Small room
It was good location. Employees were chill. Good service overall. Don't charge for parking
The quality of the TV was excellent! Also, the selection of cable channels were excellent! Extremely disappointed that it was not until I arrived that I found out I would be charged over $16 a night to park my rental car in the lot. I thought I should have been told about this additional charge when I booked the room.
Good location, we got a really good price, comfy bed, very decent breakfast, hotel is old but clean, staff were friendly and helpful #1 thing: we paid for parking both nights but on the second night there were no spots available when we came back. Fortunately it was Saturday night so parking on the street was free overnight and the next day, and they refunded the parking fee. Could use new carpet in the halls, kind of a strange smell, low water pressure in shower, single pane windows get lots of condensation and drip.
price bathroom needs some repairs/maitenance
The breakfast was excellent, the beds were very comfortable, and location was great.
The staff was welcoming, informative and just friendly! I enjoyed the free breakfast and thought the rooms were clean and comfortable. Quiet at night and in the heart of everything Seattle. They greeted me and politely verified my status as having a room each time I entered - I felt very safe and confident that anyone I encountered in the hall was another paying guest. (Seattle is known for its homeless population.) The fitness facility also had nice equipment. The TV picture went out regularly, the fixture in the sink was slightly damaged, and the hot water in the shower went ice cold if a neighbor showered or used their bathroom. The room had a refrigerator, but no microwave. I assure you, however, the attentiveness of the staff more than made up for any deficiencies in the facilities!
Very noisy place, poor internet system in lobby Helpful staff and good breakfact
Great location, walk to the Space Needle, Pike's Market, downtown shopping. Bedding was soft and bed was comfy, towels soft as well. All inclusive breakfast had all the basics covered, and was plentiful. Carpets were stained in the hallways, and our room. While clean, our room smelled musty, and there were spots (mold?) behind the headboards and throughout the bathroom. Bathroom could stand a refresh.
close to space needle, friendly staff, lobby and elevators renovated extra charge for parking, overcrowded breakfast room, always low on coffee, hot tub barely warm in August, floors looks old and dirty
Hot breakfast Bathroom amenities Smell of room Overall hotel condition was poor
Close to a lot of attractions. Price good for Seattle. Breakfast was pretty good. Bed wasn't great. Not the nicest hotel. Basically a place to sleep.
We loved the breakfast, l think it was very complete: waffles, eggs, sausage, cereals, breads, fruit, juices, cheese, yogurt, pastries, etc. They also have complementary coffee and tea 24hr at reception, the rooms are clean, they have a keurig with k cups which is great, small fridge. Location is great. It was a bit outdated, needs renovations, the ceiling noises were horrible, l could hear people walking, not so much for the walls, the windows are also thin, the bathroom has a shower not a tub, wall paper is old and gross, But it was the cheapest and l think it was worth it.
Near Space Needle. Run down, in a sketchy neighborhood, no restaurants nearby and terribly over-priced. Stay anywhere else.
Breakfast. Location. Comfortable bed Loud location, busy
There was some mix up between Kayak and the hotel reservation system that was a bit of a pain to resolve upon arrival at the hotel. Other than that the hotel met expectations.
Location Just about everything else. No pool or jacuzzi even though it was on the website. The place is old, smells, and need a facelift. A BIG disappointment !!
Located extremely close to Space Needle and Seattle Marathon start line
Breakfast really adds value. Ate enough to last me through the day.
Close to downtown and pike . Hotel isn't ravishing but sufficient. Price could be lowered to make it more attractive.
I was allowed to check in at 10:30 am. With the rain that day this was an unexpected bonus. Breakfast was very good and area was very quiet even though it was Halloween weekend. The monorail was really close and convenient to get downtown. Overall it was a great stay and I'd definitely stay again.
Worst hotel I've ever stayed. Bed was very uncomfortable. The key card didn't work 3 different times and the front desk "manager" was very unfriendly about it. I told housekeeping I didn't want service and they did anyway. Touched and moved my things. Not a happy customer at all!!!
Convenient location to sites. Nice underground parking. One odd thing is no plug ins to charge phones - had to use bathroom plugs. They could fix by offering a power cord. Good breakfast options.
The hotel is close to Seattle Center, local restaurants, pubs. Easy walk to Chihuly Museum, Space Needle, Pike Street Market, etc. Rooms are very, very small, the bathroom was a micro-room, and the walls and windows have no insulation, so we could hear all the neighbors and the expressway next to us was a constant noisy nuisance, day and night. There was a party above us both nights, one until 5:30 a.m., Seahawk fans outside our window partying and it was Halloween! We kept closer to our budget by staying at QI, but you get what you pay for.
The breakfast was very good. Bed was uncomfortable. Room was very small. Bathroom was too small. Traffic noise and loud talking from the hallway kept us awake all night.
Loved the ice water, decor, and authenticity Breakfast
The hotel has lots of charm and the rooms are very spacious. Also the staff were very friendly. The complimentary wine evenings are great and the adjoing Cafe Lladro serves great coffees and cakes. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rom was huge, with separate sitting and kitchen/dining areas. The location was ideal for me, within easy reach of the city centre but away from the hurly-burly of the business district. Plenty of facilities nearby, and within an easy walk of the space needle and all the other attractions on the site. A bus route connects to the city centre. There were only net curtains in the bedroom, so that it was not dark at night and I was forced to wear an eye mask to screen out the light. The breakfast facilities were meagre.
The hotel is adorable. The room accommodations were comfortable & spacious. This would be the ideal spot for a family vacation, due to the kitchenette or someone w/an extended stay in the downtown Seattle area. The neighborhood is quaint & very safe. There are a multitude of local ethnic restaurants surrounding the hotel; all within walking distance. Around the corner is a drug store & wonderful upscale grocery store (spirits avail), which is perfect if you want to take a night off, stay in & prepare food in your room. The hotel has a lovely Victorian feel & the initial staff who greeted us were wonderful. It is also within walking distance to the Space Center [Needle] & if you're lucky enough to get a room with a view... it's spectacular! The beautifully restored brick building's interior decor is dated & lacks adequate lighting, creating a dark feel in the lobby, hallways & rooms. There is no elevator, but the physically-fit bellman do a bang-up job. If you have trouble w/stairs, call ahead for a 1st-fl-rm. And even though the rooms are incredibly spacious, they lack warmth & coziness. A low dresser/desk like piece of furniture would be a nice addition as a central depository for jewelry, glasses, wallets/purses, water bottles, phones, laptops, cameras, chargers, papers, just to list a few travel items. Unfortunately, the nightstand wasn't enough and these objects ended up in various places all over the (1-BR-apt) room, raising concern of losing or leaving something behind.
Our room had a small but fully equipped kitchen. Also very quiet and comfortable and robes which always make me feel fancy Rooms have old school charm that can be a little worn looking and Continental breakfast is small, but this is what a Continental breakfast is...and many places don't even serve one now
I really loved this hotel. I really enjoyed the 1920s feel throughout the hotel and the rooms. The kitchenette was a nice addition. We never ended up using the table for much beyond an extra place to set things and charge electronics, but having plates and utensils ready to use was very convenient. The bed was extremely comfortable, as were the pillows. The room was exceptionally clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Continental breakfast was light and delicious. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful and answered all of our questions. We were a bit disappointed that the windows didn't open. Having to run the air conditioning all the time made the air very dry. We also struggled a bit with the wi-fi. The signal was not particularly strong, which was frustrating, but not the end of the world.
Lovely decor and central to city. Elegant. Comp breakfast a plus No curtains in room? bit noisy too as on road side so needed ear plugs
Good clean room and good service & support from staff.
Nestled between Toulouse Petite and Cafe Ladro - how can you beat that?!??
It is a very charming hotel yet in my opinion it could use some remodelling because it is a bit outdated. The service I received from the staff was good. Yes I would stay there again probably because of the location.
Great ambiance at this historic Seattle hotel. Great location for any events at the Seattle Center. Easy access to Queen Anne, waterfront, and downtown areas, as well. Kitchenette was stocked and very convenient! No elevator, but staff will carry your bags. The room needed a desk for working & computer.
This hotel was different in that it is not part of a chain and had its own personality. We found it charming and accessible to all we needed. A fair walk to the city but we enjoy walking. Great food over the road Maybe the lack of a lift
We wanted to be close to Space Needle, EMP, Pike Place & Aquarium. this accomplished all that. To top it all off, the staff were extremely polite and helpful, the room very clean and more than sufficient for our family of four's needs. Would stay there again for sure! I didn't like that we only stayed for two nights. We should have stayed for much longer, just had no time to do so. lol.
It was only a few hundred yards from Seattle Center, and it was very nice and very comfortable.
Roomy, nice bed, good cold fridge, staff and the breakfast.
Front desk staff were very helpful and informative
Staff was very friendly! Spider in my sink. Also, it appeared that one of the double beds had been slept in and just remade. I was too tired to deal with it so I didn't bother to address it with the staff and just slept in the other one.
Location was great! It was easy to get to and to get around Seattle from. There were a number of restaurants within walking distance, which was handy with small children. The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Our room was not very toddler friendly. All the door locks were easily disabled and we had to jam the desk chair in front of the patio door to keep the door shut and my son inside. Also, the room had a shower only, not a tub and shower but luckily, we had a friend staying in another room in the hotel with a tub, so I was able to bathe my son there. Our room was located in the corner of the hotel, next to the laundry room and if we wanted to utilize the complementary wi-fi, we had to be in the bathroom or the entry hallway of our room. Otherwise, the signal was too faint to use.
Value for money, very comfortable with a good complimentary breakfast, beverages 24/7 with bottled water on demand.
very welcoming, clean, good breakfast and very comfortable
Staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Location was well above-average for tourist attractions and the downtown area. Rates were a bit high for what it was but still very much pleased...would return.
friendly and helpful staff!
Staff was fantastic day and night. I could hear people walking in the room above mine. I could hear the person next door to me urinating.
Very comfortable rooms/beds, very clean, family-friendly, good location
Large room, Breakfast, easy parking.
The room was great for a longer stay when you didn't want to go every night after long tourist days There was no shower gel/wash in the room
Everything was exellent. But I didn't know that hotel adds miles. The next day after departure I was told about in the hotel were I stayed - Hilton Vancuver Washington. I called your hotel but was told that it is too late to do that. It spoiled a little my impression about your hospitality.
large rooms, sleeps multiple people, kitchen Had to make up own couch bed, not enough linens, no hot tub or pool.
it is very nice hotel Everythis is ok
Was clean, comfy and the proximity to Seattle's iconic Space Needle was very convenient (walking distance). EMP museum and more are right there too. Breakfast at in-hotel restaurant was a great value.
Hotel has neat and clean rooms with a modern feel, and great location. The room price should include breakfast. It is a bit of a downer and the room price feels a bit more without this basic offering.
How close to Seattle attractions The old elevators
The location. Prime downtown near good restaurants, within walking distance. This place is old and super dated. I laughed when we walked in. I pulled my phone out, to look at the photos if the hotel from the website and, well they're technically accurate. This place is in desperate need of a refresh or remodel. This is a pretty expensive area to stay, around $350. But for not much more, I could've gotten a much nicer experience at one of the other nearby hotels. Or even an Airbnb. But definitely not here.
The breakfast was very good but not included in your hotel room. We bought breakfast every morning at the restaurant but it was very good. The chef would switch it up every day and the restaurant was very clean. They bathrooms were run down from being old. The water in the shower would back up into the tub every time we took a shower. The staff was very nice and the room was very clean. The bathroom plumbing would be the only con.
Number 1, the location! Close to so much, and close to transportation to see more. Very up to date rooms, lobby and restaurant. Staff was always professional, but friendly and helpful. It would have been nice to have had a shuttle to get to airport.
The location is perfect for our stay! The room was clean and it has a nice view of the space needle..
Near everything we wanted to see. Friendly staff. Nice spacious room. Poor breakfast options. Wifi wasn't very stable.
this place is badly over priced
Location, location, location
The hotel was quiet and in a great location by the Space Needle. Not luxurious but comfortable enough.
great location close to the space needle, nice bathroom close to a big road. Very old rooms
How close it was to the Seattle Space Needle Our first rooms door could open without a key!
The only good thing about this hotel was the front desk clerk. She should find a job at a better hotel asap. The place was a total dump!!! Toilet seat was falling off.I Had to screw the bolts back in myself to be able to use it. Tv remote was broken. The fridge still had the prior quests old food in it & it was very dirty.I Stayed 2 nights & paid full price for both nights but they didn't change the sheets on the bed, they just remade the bed. The hot water knob on the tub was broken & hardly any hot water came out. The clock was set for the wrong time so I missed the breakfast in the lobby. I have stayed in a lot of hotels & this place has the worst I have ever seen. I would have left but couldn't find another place in the area with such short notice.
The place is barely habitable. Unclean and dirty.
Great location and clean Advertised newly furnished but furniture was obviously older and some pieces very battered..Also advertised a hot breakfast but only coffee, OJ, mini bagels and mini muffins provided. No fruit or even cereal or toast. The outlets in the room were so over loaded that you had to unplug the frig to watch TV. Bathroom fan was so loud it sounded like a helicopter. Knobs on the heater were stripped so they just spun when you tried to adjust the heat. The elevator was out of service. They were asking that the plastic knives not be thrown away and no liners provided for the ice buckets which made me question if they were sanitary or not. I decided it wasn't worth the risk and didn't risk using either...
It was in a very convenient location. The hotel wasn't horrible, but the beds were really hard and uncomfortable and they use the word "continental breakfast" loosely. They only had a few muffins, bagels and apples. No cereal, milk, oatmeal.
Nothing Poor bed. Noisy. TV reception was sporadic at best.strange smell in room. Light in room did not work... electrical cord was cut. Pretty scary overall.
It was cheap and easy access to Seattle's downtown. Breakfast was not adequate and ended too early.
The only reason to stay here is because it's a third of the price of anything around it. There is, however a $10 fee for parking that is not reflected in the price. Oh, and it is close to the space needle. I guess that's two reasons. Old. Outdated. Countless cigarette burns in carpet. Construction all around. Bad smell. Hidden parking fees. Uncomfortable beds. Yard sale type furniture. Paint chipping off walls. This list just goes on and on...
Nothing!! I would love a refund!!! Dirty, too expensive, terrible customer service, terrible location, couldn't even use swimming pool.
The hotel has potential but their was a lot of work that needed to be done. The continental breakfast was a joke!
Best part about this hotel is that it was 472 feet from Key Arena. No parking, no hair dryer, phone but not plugged in. Bathroom was clean but low shower head and toilet seat was worn out. First room we were given was under remodel, opening the door was a shock with the bathroom completely torn out, mattress in the closet and the shower/bath tub surround in the main living area. The motel is old, and it smells like it. Window air conditioner really loud and made funny noises all night but you don't dare open the windows because of transients outside wondering all night and having loud conversations. The price was bizarre but figured it being close to the event we were going to would make it worthwhile. Not the case, would not stay again even at a lower rate.
There were two things I liked. The location was stellar! If not for that we would have stayed somewhere else and forfeited our money. The front desk agent (a nice blond girl) was so polite and understanding. She deserves to work at a nicer hotel. Mildew, mold, water damage and more. It was not a sanitary place to stay. You can tell the owners picked the cheapest options for everything. We could see a homeless camp outside the window. The room was dusty and not well cleaned. At least the mattresses looked pretty new but there was no bed bug protection. Other than the room being disgusting.... Our other trouble was we found the room we booked going for less than HALF what we paid for it!!!! We paid 160 for a one queen room and the NEXT DAY it was online on the same site for 70! We booked online so there's nothing they can do about the rate. They wouldn't even refund our 20$ parking fee! I requested a call from the manager and still haven't got one. I do not recommend this place at all.
I liked the kooky feel and old was of the building. There was only one mirror and there was no soap
I liked the location and the bed. The hotel is literally old and falling apart. The towels are not washed between guest visits.
The location was good. The price was high considering the basic hotel it was.Thin walls, old building, windows etc.Simply to expensive for the basic level of commodities. The bath tub was so old that look like dirty and the water didn't have any presure. Not bad overall, but too pricey.
Location We were covered in bug bites after staying here. The hotel was extremely unhelpful after I contacted them and told them. I said I read other reviews (after staying here) that said they also received bites and were given compensation and then the manager had us take pictures of our bites and email them to them. Then they contacted me a few days later to say there were no bugs in the room and just left it at that. I emailed back that I was unsatisfied with their response and they still haven't replied to me.
The Queen Anne has a strange allure. It is located close to the Space Needle and EMP. What it lacks in modernity and comfort it makes up for in charm. Screaming man at night. Somewhat of a gritty feel to the overall room.
Polite staff. Very close walking distance from restruants and key arena. A/C units barley work so rooms were very hot. Beds were uncomfortable. Cold water did not work in the shower so it was impossible to shower. No available parking. We had to park 6 blocks away from the hotel.
Bed was comfortable and easy 20 minutes walk to Pike Place, and very close to the Space Needle. Hairs in the tub, and the worst water pressure, and a shower head below my eye-line, meaning I was bending down, squatting almost, to try and shower with 50% water pressure.
Older facility with character, very clean, cute court yard and a nice quiter location. I traveled alone and it was perfect!
My wife & I enjoyed our stay at the Maxwell. We really enjoyed its location in Queen Anne in which it was pretty easy to get to just about everything else in Seattle. Close to a lot of bus routes. You can even see the Space Needle as soon as you step out. I know they offered a shuttle service, but I really enjoy experiencing a city first hand. A lot of nice hole in the wall spots to eat & drink, nearby. Funky little hotel & friendly staff. Had a small pool in the basement & a fitness room. Restaurant in the lobby. No complaints, I would stay here again... It's not really a complaint, but the comforter was different than what I'm use to. It would actually fall off of me while I sleep.
From the moment we checked in I loved this place. Free parking, good location and a very friendly, comfortable place. Decor was different but comfortable. Even when I looked out the window and four people were standing right below window I could barely hear them talking. I'm even considering a staycation here this summer to explore parts of Seattle I've never been to.
We went to Seattle for a quick weekend and the hotel was perfect. Walking distance to the Space Needle where there is the monorail you can take straight to the mall (roundtrip ticket is $4) and walk down to pike market. The hotel offers a shuttle but it was nice to walk a little bit and see everything on the way. Nice rooms and yummy pizza place/bar connected to lobby.
Beds were terrific- loved the individual down comforters. Bravo! The room was decorated nicely and the space was huge. The bathroom was also very large and comfortable. Loved the Tommy Bahama dispensers for shampoo/conditioner/ shower gel Our shower was large, angled, and modern with no door/ curtain. The water sprayed into the bathroom possibly causing a hazard with the mess. The pillows were VERY hard. Lastly, we thought it was very strange that the room had a teeny tiny ironing board that was 3 inches tall. Not helpful.
very friendly staff very cozy bed really fun interior no bathtub
We stayed at the maxwell this valentine weekend. The hotel is very clean and nice. We have stayed in much more expensive but this could keep up with them all. Hotel employees were very nice. I would give this hotel a five star but after i left i noticed a $27.40 charge. I called and they said it was because i took the stuffed animal that is on the bed. They said i was notified of the "adoption fee" at checkout. I was NEVER notified. I am a little grossed out to think how many people slept with the stuffed animal before i took it (a little creepy) and to think i paid $30 for a $5 toy. A very nice hotel that ruined my opinion for $30. I was even trying to get my parents to go there soon!
