9.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful stay at Woodmont House....very lovely hosts and breakfast was exceptional!!! Will return
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was our first time staying at a B&B and it was an amazing experience. Randi was so kind and welcoming.
Cons: There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great location midway between Festival Theatre and the downtown area of restaurants and shops, an easy walk in either direction. Breakfast was fabulous, four options that all sounded delicious but we opted for the rosemary focaccia French toast! Hosts were super friendly, helpful with restaurant recommendations, and shared information about things we showed an interest in, like local artists. Bonus: their dogs Roland and Macduff, who were lovable and well-behaved ambassadors for the B&B!
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Brilliant and delicious breakfast with wonderful strong, dark coffee. Generous and thoughtful hosts.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Ideal location for walking to shows at the Stratford and the Avon. Excellent breakfast. Very comfortable beds. Lovely home and wonderful hosts!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The breakfast was delicious and the dogs are just exceptional.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location of the guesthouse was perfect, it was an easy walk to the Festival Theatre & also to the nearby restaurants & shops in the high street. Breakfast was excellent! Fresh fruit, home made ginger & apricot scones & four plate choices. I had scrambled egg & smoked salmon on an English muffin with a side of bacon. To drink there were fruit juices, plenty of freshly made coffee & a choice of teas. David & Randi are excellent hosts. I would definitely recommend the Woodmont Guest House as a place to stay when visiting Stratford.
7.9 Good
Pros: The proprietors provided an excellent breakfast, with considerable variety and nicely presented
Cons: No complaints!

Pros: Tony & Laura were delightful hosts! The breakfast was superb!
Cons: There was nothing we didn’t like. I guess it is just a sign of the times that prices have gone so high for overnight stays these days!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast soufflé was excellent and the bed was comfortable!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Tony and Laura were amazing hosts. Our room were clean and extremely comfortable. Our breakfast was gourmet! Egg souffle with hashbrowns fresh fruit scones and a fruit plate too. Delicious!! The wifi worked great and the shower was nice. Walking distance to all of the theaters and restaurants in the area. We will be making it our place to stay whenever we sre in Stratford.
Cons: I did not stay more than one night.

10.0 Excellent
Pros: As soon as I walked in the door I felt comfortable! A welcome note greeted me along with directions to my room. Our room had a private porch which we made good use of. Breakfast was absolutely incredible I would stay here just for that!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Our hosts were very friendly and served up a delicious breakfast with great conversation. Location was great as it is walking distance to the Studio and Avon theater. After a great evening of theater, it was nice to come back and unwind as both their pillow and bed were very comfortable
Cons: We would like more options available at breakfast. Some reviews mentioned tea and muffins being available in the evenings but unfortunately we did not experience that during our 2 night stay.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: What's not to like: great location (walking distance to two of the three theaters in Stratford), wonderful hosts (Laura and Tony) who go above and beyond to be welcoming, truly superb gourmet breakfasts (different each day), excellent room and common area which fosters great conversations with other guests. Tea, coffee, and fridge in-room; and ice-maker and candies in common area.
Cons: Cannot think of a single thing not to like!

10.0 Excellent
Pros: I am born and raised in Stratford,ON and in my opinion this is the best hotel in town. The gracious welcome and attention to detail make this hotel outstanding. The complimentary snacks and water provided in the room are a nice touch and each floor has at least one kitchenette stocked with fresh homemade cookies and a self-serve espresso machine. We always have the 3-course meal at the restaurant and it is always consistently well-prepared featuring local and seasonal produce. Most accommodation packages include a lovely breakfast, choosing from the regular menu and they will even bring it to your room if you choose. The hotel has numerous little nooks with games and books, and they welcomed us to linger after check out. We simply put our bags in the car and came back in to use the pool and hottub. Lockers are provided in the pool area. We read the complimentary newspaper and relaxed to stretch out our getaway as long as possible. The terrace outside (during warmer weather) is another favourite place to relax. The location of the hotel is perfect when attending the Festival Theatre and we were offered a complimentary shuttle to the Avon Theatre. This is now one of my "happy places" and friends who have come here with us agree!
Cons: Given the popularity of Electric Vehicles (EVs), the hotel should install more charging stations.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The attention to detail was extraordinary! Thank you to all for a world class first rate luxury experience. Elegant luxurious pampered and exquisite
8.0 Excellent
Cons: Seriously, you need a new froth or for the cappuccino in the kitchen: next Bresso has a separate froth or for about 140 bucks which we all have so please replace before our next visit
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Tour of the facility and room by an owner/partner on site. Great quiet and well appointed room and so close to the theatre for our evening function!
Cons: More coffee in the room
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The reception by all staff members including the owner Jennifer was very friendly, was welcoming and helpful! The tasting dinner menu was fabulous as was the somalier, Emily, and wine pairing. The view unto the garden was quiet and lovely. It was a quick seven minute walk to the Festival Theatre. They paid attention to detail that even other five stars hotels do not. There was a fancy snack under a glass cover, bottles of chilled soda and still water, coffee, teas, candies, great picture books, a most comfy bed, plus coffee pot in a basket in the morning, pantry down the hall with cookies and more! Our room and bathroom was super spacious! We loved our stay! Thank you
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful, close to the festival theatre, delicious food in the restaurants. Highly recommend.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Sevice was very very slow and food arrived cold. Needs a coffee maker in the room. Coffee was delviered outside the room but was not enough and cold by the time I drank it

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Best Hotel Stay in a long long time
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way possible. We were escorted to our room by the owner who pointed out all the little extras in the room and in the hotel right down to the jar of jelly beans in our room and the bottomless cookie jar in the hallway pantry. She even changed our thermostat from Celsius to Fahrenheit since we are visiting from the US. The bed was so comfortable and the staff professional and very friendly. The hotel is a short walk from the Festival Theater and other points of interest in Stratford.

Cons: No
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful location. Evening campfire. Excellent walking trail Bicycles available. Sure breakfast.
Cons: There was nothing to dislike
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Liked quiet, country, secluded area with water, trees and trails to walk. Very clean room. Room was set up nicely with separate sink area, fridge and microwave (popcorn and mints were a bonus!). Lots of variety at breakfast.
Cons: Room temperature control was a bit of an issue.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Cute, rustic, comfortable room with a nice picture window overlooking the woods with lots of birds. Nice little trail to walk on and a lake to enjoy. Breakfast was nice with lots of continental type food. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker and tea kettle in the room came in handy. Real coffee mugs and drinking glasses were a step up from paper. Love the Swiss Miss hot chocolate packets and, the Mints beside the bed were a nice touch. Also, ice cubes in the freezer.
Cons: Unfortunately being the off season, front window was very drafty and was cold on that side of the room. The water pressure was very bad with little to no hot water during the evening hours. Bathroom was also very cold so we didn’t take a shower anyway. Sugar packets for the coffee were ‘very’ old and hard.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything. Very nice staff and breakfast.
Cons: Some sounds from other rooms and outside.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is really one of the loveliest places we have ever stayed at. The room was superior in every way. It reflected the care and excellent taste of the owners. The needs of guests were carefully anticipated. They even had an electric kettle in the room! Breakfast had everything you could have wanted - an excellent selection of yoghurt, fresh fruits, breads, and cereals in a bright and congenial setting. The location really lives up to its name as a woodland retreat. There is a small lake with swans and geese and trails to explore. The area is set up so that guests can sit out and watch birds that come to the feeders and nest nearby. The owners and their staff were friendly and helpful. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Trails, moose quilts,muffins
Cons: Coffee machine broken, breakfast room small
9.6 Excellent
Pros: U thought it was very picturesque, in a great location by the water. Nice and quiet.
Cons: The first room we were in was too tiny for the three of us , but we were moved when availability was there
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The property is lovely and the room was clean, spacious and comfortable.
Cons: Water pressure could be better. No creamer for coffee (or milk)
9.0 Excellent
Pros: It was very close to expected. Clean and quiet.
Cons: None

10.0 Excellent
Pros: The b'fasts were excellent, finely sensitive to taste and presentation. Fresh ingredients from the hosts own garden, local organic produce. The rooms were thoughtful appointed with much attention to detail and very comfortable beds. The was also very well informed about local restaurants. Her recommendations were always reliable.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: great breakfasts - we were there 5 days and each was delicious. She explained where the ingredients came from - mostly local farms and markets. Host also made home made cookies for later in the day! room was very comfortable and very clean. Easy walk to the Avon and Studio theatres plus restaurants, yet on a quiet tree lined street. I have a lot of allergies and had no problem with any allergens in the environment or food - host was careful to check with me about my food allergies.
Cons: Only challenge was the bathroom was outside our room ( which we knew ahead of time), and I was concerned the doors opening during the night might awaken other guests, as was close to other room doors. Host had bathrobes for us and slippers, which helped.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Wonderful conversations with other guests and delicious food.
Cons: Silly weather.

Cons: Did not like Nespresso coffee. Prefer reg coffee maker.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We were unhappy with the food it came out cold and had to be sent back. Therefore our other two friends were finished their meal and we were still waiting for ours. That was disappointing.
Cons: See above
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location. The bar was open after the show. Good coffee in the lobby. Friendly service.
Cons: The room smelled a little musty. I think the carpet needs to be renewed. The window opened only a little bit and the air exchanger is way to noisy to leave on at night.
6.0 Good
Cons: We went down at 6:00pm for dinner. There were obviously two parties happening but the bar seating was empty. There were three ladies standing at reception. We followed the sign that said wait here to be seated. We were ignored by the three ladies. Another couple came up behind us and stood where the three ladies were behind us. They were asked if they had a reservation. They did not BUT were seated. All three ladies left the counter. One of them came back from the back and finally looked at us. We turned around and said we were here for dinner We were asked if we had a reservation. We said no. The lady said sorry we are full and can't serve you until 7:00! Even though we were there first and had been waiting. And the bar seating was empty! Very upset. We went into town and had a wonderful dinner at The REd Rabbit. We decided the next morning to try again. We ordered room service. The food arrived without covers on the plate and COLD! We looked down at our tray and there was no Cutlery! I had to call down and wait. ICE COLD Breakfast! The worst! This was not our first time here but we were very disappointed. When we check out we will see what they have to say about our treatment!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Loved the beautiful holiday decorations!
Cons: Lighting in room could be a bit brighter.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Champagne feeling on a shoestring budget and the 1871 vintage building .... so many things - original tin ceilings, stained glass, woodwork, brick, truly beautiful. We got a room with 2 queen beds it has 3 sitting areas so very spacious the bedding and towels were luxurious and walk to everything! Why go anywhere else? Oh and just to go over the top the restaurant downstairs nailed our dinners last night. Steak and ribs, potatoes any way yum - gravy perfect, I could ho on and on. Very happy! One more thing -the rose left on our bed ... the cherry on the perfect cake.
Cons: Zero
7.0 Good
Pros: RE. Breakfast - see below. Location good; room well appointed and what we needed for the single evening there. Check in was fine.
Cons: Breakfast was less than satisfying. Wait staff was young and maybe relatively new. Somewhat unprofessional and unable to carry on an appropriate conversation that a more seasoned professional might. The breakfast ordered was NOT delivered and was noted to the wait staff. In the end the kitchen fried up some mushrooms as a side rather than in the omelette itself. Check out was slow and it was only us at the desk. We needed to get going and so this was disappointing.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Perfect location, easy stroll to restaurants, theatres and shopping. Luxuriously appointed room, quiet. Fantastic restaurant on site, excellent food. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Very restful stay.

Queen's Inn at Stratford - Stratford - Building
10
8.8 Excellent (245 reviews)
Overview Reviews
With a stay at Queen's Inn at Stratford in Stratford, you'll be within a 5-minute walk of Studio Theatre and Stratford City Hall. Featured amenities include a business center, dry cleaning/laundry services, and a 24-hour front desk. Free self parking is available onsite.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The room we were given in this historic inn was lovely and comfortable with lots of room to place our cases and bags. We dined at the pub that is attached. The meal and the local craft beer were excellent. For the morning, we had only to walk across the street to the top-rated breakfast spot in Stratford. Another really positive fact is that the hand and face soaps in the washrooms were of very good quality and had little or no scent. Increasingly there are more and more people who have sensitivities to scented products and chemicals generally, and it is good to see innkeepers and hoteliers recognizing and acting upon this.
Cons: This is really just a minor quibble. I like to have herbal tea before I retire in the evening so a small electric kettle would have been welcome.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: This place is within walking distance to everything. Downtown, the theatres, great restaurants, and the river.
7.5 Good
Cons: Having to navigate stairs. No dining room as advertised. No coffee in the rooms.
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Comfortable bed, restaurant/pub on site, location..
Cons: It's an old building so need to be patient with only one luggage dolly and one elevator.

1.0 Poor
Pros: Clean room
Cons: People sitting outside rooms after midnight - concerned for security. Arrived at 8:30PM for reservation checkin. No one available to check me in . Checkin is 7AM-11PM. Had to wait 40 minutes for someone to come back to hotel for checkin.

Cons: Room nicer than out ward appearance.
5.0 Okay
Pros: it was affordable. newly renovated bath, new carpet and windows.
Cons: I couldn't open a window. The breakfast is minimal and you have to leave the room to get a cup of coffee
10.0 Excellent
Pros: the staff were super friendly. the room was clean neat and very comfortable. nice decor.
Cons: we had two double beds... we need queen beds. but next time we would request this. we were last minute bookers pretty much so we were happy to get the reservation
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The manager was really nice and obviously dedicated to making sure we had everything we needed. The hotel has been updated and kept up nicely. Everything was in really good shape. We had a very pleasant stay.
6.3 Good
Pros: Location was the best. It is on the main street, so it is close to most restaurants. It is really nice that they are pet friendly as I was able to bring my two dogs.
Cons: The bed sheets were covered in dog hair, and I was not able to change the station on the TV. This made the stay less comfortable. It would be better if all the sheets, including the comforter were washed and replaced for the next guest. The price for bringing one dog is $20. If you bring more than one dog, then they charge you the same $20 for each additional dog. So if you bring 3 dogs, it costs $60. But the charge for steam cleaning the room is $20. So I'm not sure how the additional charges can be justified, given the same cleaning will happen regardless of how many dogs you bring.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The muffins were generous. Tea was available.

7.1 Good
Pros: This property fit our needs as a hockey team. The rooms are spacious but outdated with things like slow to drain sinks, peeling wallpaper, broken baseboard heater. The microwave was in the bathroom? Beds were clean and comfortable which is really what matters. But the hotel staff were friendly and not overly strict which allowed our kids and parents to have a great weekend. The pool area is nice.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything else, it was an incredible place
Cons: That there was no breakfast included in the rate
7.1 Good
Pros: Room was clean, lovely fireplace in the lobby, excellent coffee.
Cons: Disappointed in old looking room. Felt deceived by very basic continental breakfast after booking based partly on hot breakfast reviews. Ate breakfast elsewhere! Likely would have booked another location had I known these negatives, considering the price.
3.0 Mediocre
Pros: The room was clean.
Cons: The room was grungy. Carpet worn-dirty. Furniture was tacky. Room in desperate of an update. Look, I've been in as bad or worse, but not at this price. This is a $39.99 room charging some $165.00. They should be embarrassed to charge that rate.
6.0 Good
Pros: no breakfast was available
Cons: hot tub was not working. staff not too friendly
8.0 Excellent
Pros: I liked the room. It was spacious and comfortable.
Cons: Breakfast was the same every morning. Coffee service was sporadic. Ended up serving myself most of the time.
5.0 Okay
Pros: I would like oatmeal rather than cold cereal. I like being able to have breakfast at the hotel.
Cons: We had flies in our room that tormented us and no way to get rid of them. We also struggled with a mal-functioning heating system which was challenging because it was quite chilly in Stratford at that time.
7.1 Good
Pros: Very kind staff, great breakfast service , comfortable beds
Cons: Answered phone while serving customers at desk
