Person at desk not very friendly. Rented me an electric car said only car and ended up only half charged and barely made it to my destination. Not a great experience for sure!!!!!

It was not impressive. The agent when I checked in was far from pleasant. The car was dirty inside. The add on charges where more then the price of the rental car.

Pick-up at SYR took almost an hour because desk was understaffed. 2 people serving 40-50 Budget AND Avis customers in line. And line was just as bad when we left. The price ended up at $160 a day excluding prepaid gas for a Camry -- really poor value. And more than what was advertised in booking. The staff at SYR were good. And drop off was easy.

I waited in line for an hour. There was one person working the desk. There were still 14 people ahead off me. I did not have another hour to spare, as my meeting was fast approaching. I called Budget to cancel because I COULD NOT GET IT. They promised a refund. Iv'e called several times. I never got a car and never received the EIGHT HUNDRED dollar refund. STAY AWAY FROM BUDGET

Pick-up at SYR ok but staff impatient and clearly not happy doing the job. Drop-off at JFK confusing and a hassle. Signs lead to a former Dollar lot where you are then redirected to the Hertz lot. Plus airport under construction. Very stressful. They should get their signage right.

There was a huge line at the counter, and a long wait to pick up my car. I was supposed to get a full size car but the only car they had left was a compact. Awful experience!

Staff was nice. However they helped as little as possible, but over all the experience was. Okay.

Cons:

The vehicle had a sticker on the door saying it was cleaned. A baby sock was found in the back hatch area, which should have been easily found if cleaned. The worst part was a strong odor coming from the driver side back seat. Terrible smell, I drove straight from NY to Fl. When I got home my wife told me it smelled like baby vomit or spilt formula.

Pros:

Staff members. Girl that had to downgrade me from an SUV to a full size vehicle was just doing her job.

Cons:

Don't use a debit card unless you only want a maximum of a full size car. I requested an SUV because I had to travel and the weather got pretty bad. I had to downgrade to the Maxima and the handling was terrible. I understand there's rules but my debit card has more cash on it than most credit cards. They could have done a larger deposit or something to secure the vehicle I requested. I needed the vehicle so I couldn't cancel or change things.
