Cons: Internet access is very poor except in the lobby.
The Jefferson Clinton Hotel is located in Historic Armory Square, Syracuse. The hotel features a mixture of standard Euro rooms, studio style suites and executive suites. All rooms and suites feature pillow top mattresses, flat screen tvs and premium cable. The hotel offers complimentary internet and breakfast. The hotel is steps away from The Landmark Theatre and the downtown business district. Syracuse University is just 1 mile and Destiny USA is 2.5 miles
Pros: Great location, very nice breakfast included, love the fact that it's a LEED Platinum building. Room was nicely equipped and the bed was very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.
Cons: Just wish it had a hot tub for relaxing! Shower was interesting - no door and only a half-wall for privacy. It was just the two of us so it was fine, but could be more challenging if traveling with teens or anyone who prefers privacy.
Pros: They are rightfully proud of the energy savings and material recycling designed into this wonderful ex-temple. Rooms are spacious and unique, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this place when visiting Syracuse.
Pros: Staff was great, location was great and the green initiative was is fantastic. Room was comfortable and quiet.
Pros: Very nice and clean hotel in a unique building. Super convenient to Syracuse University; just a short walk up to Marshall Street and less than 10 minutes to the Dome. Rooms were spacious enough, even for a family of 4. All staff were helpful and very nice. Interesting lobby too.
And if you stay for a football or basketball game then the on-site free parking is an additional bonus.
Cons: Bathrooms were a little dark and the showers are European style (only half a door!) Bar seemed to close early.
Pros: We stayed at Hotel Skyler on a visit to Syracuse University with my son. It was within walking distance to the campus and the local area had plenty of dining options to discover. (Try Laci's Tapas Bar if you want fabulous food and wine on your stay.) The hotel staff was extremely friendly and helpful and provided a warm, easy check in. The facilities had a chic, simple, modern decor that was immaculate and comfortable. Two minor items I would have liked to see at the hotel were an in room coffee maker (but they did provide complimentary coffee in the lobby) and later hours for the bar/restaurant (they have a snack stand available until 2 a.m.). I would definitely come back and stay again.
Pros: Location-close to Syracuse University, easy accessibility. ie parking free.
Preservation of historic bldg.-beautiful job.
"Green" renovation-ecologically responsible
Cons: No actual dining room available, just a café/bar in lobby.
Pros: Hotel staff was friendly and very helpful.
Pros: Lovely airy decor, modern yet comfortable atmosphere. Coming in late at night, I felt like I was retuning to a family member's home who had left the light on for me. The fact that it was a "green" hotel was an added benefit, but it certainly did not feel I was sacrificing anything. I also want to add that even though we were in a busy neighborhood, our room was very quiet.
Cons: I had no complaints at all.

Pros: We liked the modern vibe and friendly staff at the desk.
Cons: The air conditioning fan is extremely LOUD and the temperature swings in the room through the night were significant. Otherwise a great experience.
Pros: It has a small pool, which was perfect for my young kids. The beds are confortable. The shower and the toiletries were very nice. The hotel had a neat, boutique vibe to it. I'd stay there again.
Cons: I wish it had included complimentary breakfast. Their ala carte options were over priced.

Pros: Comfortable room, clean, friendly staff, good breakfast, coffee in lobby and rooms a plus. Microwave and fridge in room. Nice place to stay for an over night trip. easy to find and plenty of parking.
Cons: The air conditioner didn't work well at cooling the room. it was a noisey inn. Also some of the breakfast items were all gone and not replenished. Good
Pros: wife loves the pillows .

Pros: The proprietors are Lovely people. Remarkable and interesting. They fed us very well. Lovely rooms
Cons: Its an older home so it has some older home issues, but nothing serious.. it added to its quaintness.
Barrington Manor Bed and Breakfast puts you just a 5-minute drive from Erie Canal Museum and OnCenter Complex. Free perks include WiFi, self parking, and full breakfast daily between 7:30 AM and 9:30 AM. Other features include a terrace and a garden.
Pros: Room clean and good size. Staff very nice. Breakfast was good
Cons: Had Internet connection problems which were a real inconvenience
Cons: Noisy. You could hear all the doors closing. The maid service knocked several times very early in the morning on nearby rooms and was very loud. Someone attempted to open our dor n then ran away despite do not disturb sign
Pros: Very comfortable and spacious rooms. Cozy comfortable beds. Good breakfast. Convenient location.
Cons: Parking was tight.
Pros: The best deal you can get in Syracuse.
Pros: Professional & courteous staff, modern & clean rooms, convenient location
Pros: The room itself was great - big comfy bed, mini kitchen which included a toaster, microwave, fridge, pots and pans, and utensils. The double head shower was also very clean.
Cons: They have a shuttle service that picks you up and takes you places within a 2mile radius which is great except it takes 30 min to come get you and then sometimes if it already has passengers it takes you all the way out to the airport when you just had to walk 10min. The breakfast wasn't anything great.. They had lots of options but everything was very bland, typical hotel food. I was sick for a full day because the milk I had was bad even though it hadn't expired. I think it might have been left out to spoil just a little too long.

Better yet, wake up each morning and enjoy a deluxe hot breakfast, on the house.
Pros: Comfortable bed with clean white pillows and topper. Pretty quiet. Courteous staff.
Cons: Banquet food was not great and the food in the restaurant (Rachels) was uninspired. overcooked shrimp, mushy scrambled eggs. super bland pasta dishes on the conference buffet. Frozen dessert products that are mediocre and probably frozen cookie dough because those were not very good either. Sorry, but I am a restaurant person and I call 'em like I see 'em. Egg salad no, but tuna salad good. Fresh nice fruit and plenty of food. Staff was nice. very casual style of service.
Pros: Surrounding university atmosphere.
Cons: Cost adders (parking, etc.)

Pros: Stained glass windows are abundant and beautiful. The proprietor, was welcoming, knowledgeable, helpful, and very friendly. Breakfast was artfully presented, plentiful, and made to order.
Cons: The room was a little small, but that's expected for an historic site. It was also a little dark, but was probably in keeping with decor of the period. No real complaints.
Putting you just a 5-minute drive from OnCenter Complex and Rosamond Gifford Zoo, WC Lipe Mansion offers an airport shuttle (available on request) for USD 25.00 per vehicle. The spa tub makes for a relaxing end to the day, and free perks include WiFi, self parking, and full breakfast daily between 7:30 AM and 10:30 AM. A terrace and a garden are other highlights, and rooms at this Victorian bed & breakfast offer up nice touches like pillowtop beds with Egyptian cotton sheets.
Cons: They didn't have any rooms even though I made prior reservations and prepaid for it.
Pros: The room was spacious, clean and the night quiet. The staff was professional and helpful.
Cons: No microwave or fridge in the room was a bit unexpected.
Cons: The menu in the restaurant eleven waters needs a few more items to choose from, and the service was extremely slow
Cons: The front desk said that I could park I. A garage and use the bridge to head over. I arrived at 11 am and it's not the part of town you want to be walking in alone and I say that as a healthy 30 year old male. I park near the bridge, get all my bags, and when I cross the bridge to the hotel the door is locked. Now I've already paid for that garage and have a block and a half walk wth my stuff. The staff needs to be better educated and that will come with time. Besides that, the doors to the rooms are loud as hell but not bad as a whole.

Pros: Armoury Square is the entertainment center of Syracuse, so staying right there is a plus. The hotel is comfortable and the staff are very accommodating.
Cons: However, we won't stay there again as long as we can get into an equally good hotel in the same neighbourhood where they offer complementary breakfast and the parking is free. All things being equal (and they are in quality) we prefer the extra amenities.
Pros: Central location, very modern, very clean
Cons: I could hear the room above me when they were talking normally.

Pros: It was very clean, well decorated and the location was great for us. We were able to walk around Armory square sampling craft beers and getting a wide range of different types of cuisine. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Cons: The valet took a little longer than expected retrieving our car, but I think the desk clerk may have forgot to call him do to everyone checking out.
Pros: This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. The staff is friendly and very helpful with knowledge of surrounding area, directions, extra pillows, and even a nice welcome conversation. Very Clean and Highly recommended!
Cons: I can't think of anything I didn't like, the breakfast area, pool, lobby, valet, and rooms were fantastic!

Cons: Torn shower curtain
Long walk for retired Air Force disabled vet, not enough disability parking near entrance
Pros: For a "king suite" it was a very average room-may as well opt for a cheaper room. It seems one half of the hotel is way nice than the other-but it's still nice.
Pros: Ease of parking.Comfortable beds.
Cons: Had to ask multiple times for a refrigerator in room when I previously confirmed a refrigerator would be in room at checkin. Needed more staff at front desk.
Pros: The location was perfect. We were going to an event at The Stage. Upon arrival the lobby was beautiful and the staff very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable with all of the necessities. We ate both dinner the menu was amazing with variety of vegetarian meals. Breakfast as well. With such a beautiful lounge we ate there both meals. All of these things were of great quality but the staff is the shinning star of the hotel. The front desk clerk who always had a smile and a welcoming word to the shuttle driver and all of the wait staff!!
Cons: The business end of the bathroom was a little worn.

Pros: I'm a pretty low maintenance person, so this Quality Inn was perfect for me. Friendly staff, very clean room and bathroom with good basic amenities, and a hot breakfast available, including make-your-own fresh waffles! Parking is free. There is a small workout room, too. I would definitely stay here again.
Cons: Although this is only a few minutes from downtown Syracuse, the area around the hotel gets a little shady. I realize this is relative to individual experience, but all I can say is I wouldn't want to go for a stroll alone outside at night. Still, though, the hotel and parking lot felt safe. I would still stay here in the future.
Pros: Excellent breakfast
Good wifi and good tv
Maid left extra bathroom supplies when ours were almost empty
Very easy to get to
Super friendly staff
Washing machine on site
Cons: People in the parking lot drinking beer out of a pickup like it was a NASCAR race, haha!
Pros: I liked very little, but didn't expect much more than we received. We checked in later, not staying for any other reason but for a place to sleep. When we arrived, the bathroom looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned in at least a month, there were crumbs and debris surrounding the perimiter of the room, and there was no bible but instead the Krishna. We were awoken quite early by the man doing housekeeping and another guest arguing very loudly a door away. I would only suggest this room to a person or persons looking for a quick, cheap bed and nothing more.
Pros: the location
Cons: from the outside is looks terrible

Pros: Hot tub and pool are great, well stocked with towels. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly.
Cons: No vending machines or options for food. They had limited drinks at the front desk that were overpriced, and the restaurant served breakfast that also seemed kind of steep.
Pros: Room cleanliness was great
Love their chocolate cookie gift upon check in and the candy bar in the room
Very convenient off 90 thruway
Cost was great for location and overall hotel quality
Thank you for complimentary breakfast buffet
Cons: Mattress comfort & quality was Just OK
The restaurant is to the left of the front hotel entrance and there was loudness
I stayed on the Hilton Honors level and noticed the noise level adjacent to my room and one level below. More sound-proofing needed

Cons: Free Shuttle isn't available most of time they take you places and can't pick you up even when you aren't in a hurry, refusal
Pros: Location to restaurants and entertainment.
Cons: Rooms are outdated and not clean. Bathroom had mold around toilet and shower.
Customer service - Upon check in, I explained the wrong room was given to us, as the confirmation showed how many and what type of bed we should have. They did not care and told me the room I had was correct.
Upon checkout, my credit card was charged for the room, even though I had paid through a booking site. I explained this to the woman at the desk, and she said since they could not find record of payment, she would not refund me. Instead of trying to satisfy me by making a simple phone call to the booking site, she told me I had to do the work and contact the booking site to find out details and then contact her to get the refund.
Pros: Room was neat & clean; nice linens and a huge rain shower stall. Close to SU and University Hospital.
Cons: Continental breakfast is not offered nor included in room price.
Parking costs extra. In a small market like syracuse, these should be included in the room price.

Pros: The hotel was clean and had a convienent location, The rooms are spacious and the staff were friendly.
Pros: The staff here was extremely helpfull.
The hotel lobby has a home cottage look and feel that appealed to my personality.
The beds were second to none and I've stayed at 5 stars that had worse beds.
The breakfast was excellent especially since i had a 8 hour drive to my next destination.
the hotel was comfortable and was in the process of finishing a remodelling so it was all new and looked great!
Cons: The odor from the carpet glue was strong in the elevators but other then that (was to be expected with all new carpets and walls) the hotel would and will be on my remember list of places to stay in Syracuse NY

Good place to get arrested
Great location for any prostitution experience
If you enjoy the look of a 1970's motel room, this is for you!
Staff had bad attitude
No coffee as promised
Pros: The room was clean and the staff was friendly.
Cons: The breakfast was sub-par and they don't include the $50 deposit in the price you pay online. This was a problem for me because that extra $50 was not budgeted in.
Pros: Quiet and easy access to vechile
Cons: WiFi did not connect properly

Guests will have free perks like breakfast, WiFi, and self parking. Also, Museum of Science and Technology and Syracuse University are within a short drive.
Pros: Complimentary breakfast was edible
Beds were relatively comfortable
Hotel made sure to separate guests who would be raucous on New Years from families and other guests
Cons: Lied to by staff regarding their nonexistent airport shuttle
Rooms were uncomfortably cold upon arrival
Front desk was inconsistently staffed, often concierge on duty would sit in a corner so upon first glance it would appear empty
Pros: Mostly clean, and inexpesive
Cons: Breakfast was pretty puny....
Pros: The rate we booked at was great.
Cons: But NO reminders close to the booking, so booking.com, or Best Western let us know about an upcoming stay, say a week prior, so gives us an opportunity to cancel, if we need to. any no flexibility by local management. I could not negotiate an extended stay or anything, with bookings.com or local mgmt. They just too my penalty. I'll NEVER book with bookings.com or Best Western again!
Pros: Good value and convenient to our destination. Staff was pleasant and accommodations were as pictured from website.
Cons: NOISE LEVEL: The fixtures in our room were noisy. (Whenever the toilet was flushed or water run in the bathroom, there was a high pitched screech. Also, the mini-fridge and the air conditioning unit were unusually loud when they cycled.) Also found sounds traveled as guests moved around upstairs or in adjoining rooms.
Pros: Hotel all around was very clean. Staff was fine. Rooms were decently sized, updated and very clean.
Cons: Room was a little bit cold despite the heater being on. Fan for the heater was exceptionally noisy. Location of the hotel, although convenient, seemed a little 'seedy' - literally on the highway.

Pros: Staff was very friendly and professional. Room was clean.
Cons: The hotel is very run down. Wall paper is peeling around the windows. Room had a musty odor. It was very expensive for the age, lack of renovation and location. It was graduation weekend and they were taking advantage of that for sure.
Cons: old, smelly, and overpriced
Pros: Excellent breakfast! Close to the highway.
Pros: Just off the highway. Easy access to shops and restaurants.
Cons: Power went out (no fault of hotel) Wifi is slow.
Pros: The staff were very courteous and helpful. The room was nice and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was very plentiful and there were a lot of people there. Then again I am guessing it was one of the busiest seasons for this particular hotel.
Cons: The heater/air conditioner might have been on the fritz.
Pros: staff was helpful
Cons: traffic from hwy was a little noisy.
Pros: The hotel was average with plenty of parking spaces and the room was clean. The cleaning staff were very nice.
Cons: The room did not have a refrigerator and the ice machine was located at the other end of the hotel on the 1st floor - the room was on the 3rd floor. For an elderly person like myself this was quite inconvenient.
Pros: Staff was apologetic for the situation.
Cons: The hotel was overbooked and a non smoking room was not available. The room we were given did not have our requested bed type and had a very strong smoke odor. Vending machines were empty. surrounding area looked like a truck stop.
Pros: Room was clean and bathroom was spacious.
Cons: Advertised that the room was for 2 adults however the room had a single full size bed. Way to small for a couple.
Cons: Flies in room, crumbs on floor
Pros: Continental Breakfast was fine. Staff was courteous, but extremely unprepared for the large number of guests.
Cons: Hotel was overbooked and we received a smoking room. I am still airing out our luggage due to the very heavy smoke odor. The location and surroundings were not attractive and it felt like we were located in a truck stop. Vending machines were empty.
Pros: location, previous experience with comfort inn
