The car itself was nice, but our experience with Thrifty was extremely disappointing. We had a reservation in our name, yet we waited over an hour to receive our vehicle. There were no other customers waiting for cars at the time—they simply did not have our vehicle cleaned and ready when we arrived. During the wait, we were offered an upgraded vehicle for an additional $200. When we declined the extra charge, we were left waiting for over an hour for the car we had originally reserved. To make matters worse, we filled the tank at a gas station immediately before returning the vehicle. The fuel level was actually higher than when we picked it up, which Thrifty had considered a full tank. Despite this, we were charged for two additional gallons of fuel ($31.00) after returning the car. Between the excessive wait time, the attempt to upsell us while our reserved vehicle wasn't available, and the inaccurate fuel charge, this was a very frustrating experience. Even with the $50 future rental discount they offered as compensation, we will not be renting from Thrifty again.Reviewed 22 Jun 2026

I thought the staff was great. Also, the car was good. I’ve rented a lot of cars lately, and they are usually dirty, not well maintained, I even had to buy a windshield wiper for one of them on my way to a trip. I had no issues with this vehicle, it was clean and in great shape.Reviewed 16 Jun 2026

Cigarette smoke odor in car. I tried calling car rental & no one answered phone. Then called a different location to exchange car & could not. Too much of a hassle to drive back to JWA & exchange car. Purchased essential oil to somehow mask odor.Reviewed 11 Jun 2026
