Situated right in front of a wide private beach, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Friendly staff, great off-season rates, beautiful views, and very nice facilities. Our room was spacious, with a separate bedroom and sitting room, and the dinette was a lifesaver, complete with basic cooking tools and a hotplate. We will be coming back here!
great experience impressed by the room, modern style, and atmosphere. good location to go a short distance to the boardwalk and many placed to eat of site if you choose. no complaints
Location was great! Rooms were clean and well appointed, The bed and pillows very comfortable. Family friendly. The providing of robes was a nice touch. Waitresses as well as hostess was somewhat inattentive. We waited for apple juice had to remind the waitress several times and syrup so long the pancakes got cold. Hard to get coffee refills while they chatted it up with some guests while ignoring others,
This hotel was perfectly situated. Diamond beach is right outside your door, while also just a short drive away from the busy Boardwalk. It is a family friendly place. It is also beautiful, up to date and chic. We will definitely be back!
Location is great, rooms are large, pool is great size. The pool water had a bad smell to it. The rooms are very old and out dated, needs a serious renovation to the bathroom. There was no iron or hair dryer so be aware of that. We asked for a 2 hour late check out and were told we would have to pay half of the day rate( meanwhile the hotel was empty that day). I will not return to this hotel.
Bristol Plaza was a good value hotel to stay in. The staff/front desk were excellent. We requested an ocean front room and got. The room was reasonably clean. The bedspreads need replaced and updated.
Heated pool, close to access the beach, staff was nice No private balconies, only 1 elevator, rooms were dated, the dresser in our room was broken. I don't understand why hotels think that they don't need to be updated ever after 20 years!
Beach & Surroundings (Ocean is in view and a couple of hundred feet away) Flat screen, HD TV worked well. Wildwood Boardwalk about a half mile up the beach with rides, stands etc. (Wildwood Crest, where the motel is located, does not have a boardwalk). Town has many decent restaurants plus the usual assortments of chain food places. Geared to family Ocean beach fun ! Older motel (`50s-`60s ?), fairly well maintained, everything (bed, sink, toilet, tub) is SMALL. Found some previous guests items in a bag in the bathroom under sink cabinet (Cleaning staff ?) Absolute minimum on everything . . . shower and sink water flow, soap bars, shampoo, seems like your living in "TinyTown" ! Pool was small but OK. I understand that this area has only a three month season and can probably not afford major improvements, but it would have been very "tight" for two adults and two children to live in this room for a week. (we were only two adults for two days). Typical Wildwood Motel . . . great beach, so, so accommodations.
Excellent Location, restaurant was great, room was clean. Parking was difficult even with their parking permit.
It was fine for our needs. Nothing bad. Nothing exceptional. They upgraded us and our room had an awesome view Prices seed a little high. We went to check out a wedding venue. Lovely view but our guests would have to pay for a 3 night minimum at very high prices. We would not ask them to do that
Good location. Nice sized pool. Had both indoor and outdoor pool. WI-FI service was poor at best. Kept loosing connection and connection was slow
Location Price Staff less than friendly. Hostess at rest rude.
Location. Lots of towels. Damp carpet in room. No bathroom vent fan. Too much chlorine in indoor pool. Loud hallway echoes from the glass. Uncomfortable bed and pillows. Just seemed overall dirty and dated. Oh, no coffee or tea too.
We have visited Cape May over a dozen times over the last 25 years (we were married there in 1992), and in that time we have stayed in several oceanfront hotels there. The rooms at the Grand were clean and comfortable, the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant served good quality food at fairly reasonable prices. Both the indoor and outdoor pools were kept up well, and towels weren't hard to find. At the Grand Hotel's price point, we expected a few more amenities, such as beach service (other similarly priced hotels provide chairs and umbrellas at the beach for their guests, and some even deliver food and drinks from the restaurant to the beach). I also have never stayed at a hotel with a price point over $250 with laundry facilities that were coin operated. I was also surprised that I couldn't charge my meals at the restaurant to my room, which was mildly inconvenient. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Grand, but we feel that it could have been a better value for the money.
Room was not cleaned.
Nothing The " First room " we were given, didn't have a bed or chairs .The second room didn't have a toilet that worked. They sent someone to fix it and said it was fixed but it ran all night long and still didn't flush right. The room was dirty. The floors were slippery like they had some kind of film on them. The furniture had stains all over. The walls were crumbling. Overall the room was dirty and disgusting.
Great location right on the beach. I liked they had someone who did daily activities with everyone, golf tournaments, egg toss etc on beach that was a nice treat for everyone The room had no window, the AC unit was in what was called the window and at night there was a light blaring in so you had to close curtains so you could try and sleep and then you could not get full effects of AC unit. The noise was un real someone walking up and down stairs could be heard. Basically every time someone sneezed you could hear them. So I went to have some fun and did but got no sleep.
The beds only had a sheet on and those quilts they never clean all stained. There was dirt and hair in one bed and there also was an outlet with no outlet cover hidden behind it. The maid only came to bring us towels and never brought toilet paper.
Beautiful Hotel ! Beautiful view of the ocean and right down the road from the board walk! It was wonderful to eat breakfast while looking at the beach! Only thing I would I didn't like our stay was the parking lot is rather small tight fit for parking spots.
The view and the kitchen The beds were not very comfortable.
Location, a beautiful view of the beach and ocean. Light bulbs were dead in most places. The staff did come and replace them soon after we notified them.
The view of the ocean from the room and easy access to the beach. The room was clean and comfortable.
Very dirty and moldy gross
No coffee machine in Room
The location was great with a quick walk to the beach as advertised. There were always plenty of parking spots available at all times, day and night. The pool was great. It was a decent size and nice and warm! For some reason the room my friend and I stayed in for two days constantly had flies in it (to the point we actually had to buy fly swatters). Not sure what this was about, whether they got in as the room was being cleaned or if they were getting in around the hole by the window in the bathroom, but either way definitely wasn't pleasant.
Easy access to the beach Roof leaked Needs to be updated Stained towels Pillows did not have pillow cases on them and the pillows were brown Stains everywhere Worst place I have ever stayed
We loved the ocean view and how clean the hotel was. There was such a friendly staff also. Nothing, we had a wonderful trip!
Older hotel, needs repairs, had to request coffee maker , was supposed to be in the room, then had to go get it.
It was near the beach but since we were just staying the night (and we didn't even stay the night because of the uncleanliness, we elected to drive home instead). If you're a kid at post prom this is the place for you. It's a wildwood motel during prom week, so what do you expect. Kids and people partying all through the night, and honestly that's to be expected so no harm no foul. Over priced for the quality of service. The problem I had with the room was that the towels seemed like they had never been washed, ever. I have pictures of brown, caked-on material on one of them, can only venture to guess what that was. There were holes punctured in the in the bathroom door, the deadbolt to the front door didn't work with the key I was given, the shower head was breaking out of the drywall and as mentioned before, all the towels felt like they had not been washed, in fact seemed freshly used by someone else. Gross. Parking was difficult at 1am, and since they don't have round the clock staff (I think it's just one caretaker) we were met with scathing words when we rang the lobby bell to ask for assistance. I'm sorry that we woke you up but, come on.
There was nothing to like other than the beach front location. Old motel needing lots of repair. Blinds on doors broken, stains on bed spread, hole in wall in bathroom, toilet rocked back and forth, apparently not bolted to the floor. Parking was a nightmare. Once you got in parking spot, you could not open doors to get out of vehicle. Room smelled, bathroom not very clean. Stayed about 1 hour or so........Drove 35 miles north to Egg Harbor to a Homewood Suites. Place needs to be knocked down and rebuilt, it has seen better days You know you are not in a safe location when it says "ring bell" to enter office and they collect all money at check in.....should have bailed at this point rather than waiting an hour. Nothing like the pictures displayed on the Kayak website. Worst hotel / motel I ever saw
Outstanding room with an amazing view, and a strong wi-fi signal.
Modern Staff eager for guests to check out first thing in the morning
Comfortable clean waterfront hotel. Helpful staff quiet room. Close enough to the fun in town but far enough away to be quiet. Restaurant was closed so no room service either
Cleanliness of room Unprofessional person at check in. Was carrying on two conversations while checking me in.
proximity to the beach1 CHOICE OF RESTAURANTS IN THE AREA WAS NOT EXTENSIVE
Pool was clean. Location was quiet. The bed was very old and uncomfortable. A candy wrapper and lollipop was left on the floor before we arrived and stayed there our entire stay. Housekeeping did not refill the soap and we were left with none the last night of our stay. Parking was tight and very limited. Staff was rude upon our arrival when I mentioned a deal on their website for a discount when paying with cash. According to them this discount only applies when booking on their site, which was not stated on the website.
