Pros: We stayed here to attend a wedding in Beaconsfield. Very good location just 3-4 minutes off the M40. Very comfortable bed with a good shower. Had one dinner which was overall good.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great value for money, the gym and pool are decent and definitely worth checking out. Breakfast was class! Definitely recommend, stayed here as it was close to my brothers wedding venue and was a great hotel in general.
Cons: I was charged double for my stay by accident, but this was compensated on checking out so not necessarily a problem just a little setback!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Perfect stay! Breakfast was delicious, room was well equipped, swimming pool was lovely.
Cons: The shower pressure was a little on the light side, but it certainly wouldn't put me off staying again!
8.0 Excellent
Cons: The jacuzzi didn’t work during our stay

Cons: Nothing
6.7 Good
Pros: Location and staff.
Cons: Room was hot and windows on child lock. Dust on lamps and headboard. Served Latte and Cappachino that was cold.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Thought the menu was a bit limited.
4.0 Okay
Pros: Location in town is great & mainly reason for staying. Short walk to Spice Society!
Cons: Bar emptying out into reception area at 11PM. Room 3 (over reception) has zero soundproofing, I can't quite fathom why anyone would move a party of loud drunk guests under a room booked by other guests trying to sleep!
7.0 Good
Pros: Staff extremely welcoming, helpful and pleasant.
Cons: Through no fault of the hotel, it was unfortunate that during our weekend stay there was a wedding and some of the guests were extremely inconsiderate during the early hours of the morning. The only other noise issue was the gravel parking (set alongside the barn accommodation) which again was very evident in the early hours. Apart from these two minor issues we would recommend this hotel.
7.0 Good
Pros: Location and history of hotel. We attended the hotel for a wedding and the staff on the car park were welcoming and incredibly helpful. Lovely to see log fires in use. Toiletries in bathroom/s. Waiter at breakfast very engaging and professional.
Cons: The room wasn't anything special for the price. Carpets in room dark. Bulb missing from side lamp by bed. Receptionist at check out more interested in taking an internal call and having a long conversation rather than helping guests. Breakfast room incredibly hot when full.
2.0 Mediocre
Pros: Location
Cons: Snot on wall, toilet holder poorly positioned, tiles missing, not sound-proofed, cramped, dark, expecting 14th century hotel, instead poorly built annex.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Quirky, cosy and spacious room (we stayed in a suite) Food was lovely and staff were friendly
Cons: Not double glazed, there was both a wedding and an 18th party happening at the hotel and it was very noisy outside when people were leaving, and early in the morning we trying to sleep.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Fantastic ancient property but with modern amenities.
Cons: We liked everything - we did have to ask for soap for the bathroom and the TC reception was not great but the staff were terrific, breakfast was friendly and good and we very much enjoyed the stay and would definitely return though we would probably stay in one of the newer units at the back.

6.0 Good
Cons: Heating not working in 3 rooms.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location and the staff
7.9 Good
Pros: Lovely historical hotel and we had a nice quirky room at the end of the corridor in the main building which was very quiet. The bed was comfortable and shower nice and powerful. They left us some welcome gifts as well. Lovely open fire to sit round in the reception area after our walk. Hawkyns restaurant was very good too - delicious Indian food.
Cons: The breakfast service was pretty poor. No one told us what to do, you wait around and then interrupt a server to see if you can get a table. We had to ask for pretty much everything twice and when we did there was a look of surprise that we were asking for it in the first place (cups, milk and to order our breakfast!!) The coffee was cold and we had to wait ages for our food (which was good when it did arrive). There was very little management / organisation happening during service, and let’s the hotel down.
8.3 Excellent
Pros: the beds were lovely - huge with luxurious linen, bathrooms were super modern with The White Company complementary toiletries, lots of fluffy towels and all amenities stowed away in a cupboard to keep the room looking sharp and modern. Breakfast was excellent.
Cons: not sure why when we were travelling with our dog we were put in a first floor room when there were rooms available in the courtyard with immediate outside access. Plus on checking out I had to wait for a considerable amount of time whilst the receptionist was describing the various types of rooms on a telephone call to a future guest then took payment, and although he apologized following the call he didn't acknowledge me prior to that or put the caller on hold. Plus we had a few issues with dinner and drinks in the evening - the menu if sitting outside is limited.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: I requested a room in the old part of the building and loved it - wonky floor, low ceilings and quirky appearance especially.
Cons: Limited choice of food in restaurant and availability so we ate elsewhere.

7.0 Good
Pros: Room was really lovely, not your normal hotel and definitely worth a visit for a special occasion
Cons: Room was very noisy and bed so hard it wasn't comfy and barely slept a wink. Also thought the staff could of been a bit more friendly, was rushed through the hotel straight to our room, wasent shown/told where to go for breakfast or where we could just sit and have a drink.
2.5 Mediocre
Cons: It wasn’t worth it’s value and we we’re allocated to the wrong room!
7.9 Good
Pros: The quirkinesses
Cons: The music choices, was to loud when sitting in smaller areas
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Staff was not very friendly
10.0 Excellent
Cons: The £150 deposit on the room needs to be made clearer in the terms and conditions, got there unaware I needed another £150 in my bank to be shown too our room after paying £400 for the room already. The staff were so rude and not understanding at all leaving us without refreshments or talking with us for 3 hours whilst we sat in their lobby trying to get a friend to bank transfer us £150 at short notice as they wouldn’t accept our cash.

8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly reception from staff Warm and good value food Nice atmosphere with great breakfast
Cons: Car parking was not easily available outside hotel
4.6 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Poor decor and furniture. Very dated and worn. Needs a deep clean. Emergency exit light on ceiling glows bright green all night. No central heating. Very cold without Portable electric heaters. No breakfast menu or buffet. How do you know what to ask for? Too many questions asked by staff about your business. Friendly becomes intrusive.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly manager and staff. Lovely olde worlde bar area and a good selection of drinks. Our room (Number 1) was spacious, warm and quiet. We had a good nights sleep and a tasty breakfast of fruit juice, fresh fruit, toast and a cheese & mushroom omelette - which the manager cooked specially.
Cons: Could not find a hairdryer. TV reception kept coming and going - most going ! Both of the above not really a problem as we were only staying for 1 night.
9.6 Excellent

Cons:
5.2 Okay
Pros: Access to local town for visiting family and ease of location to and from motorway.
Cons: Shower pressure very poor, cost of room for size and facilities was over priced. We will be staying there at the end of August for a wedding reception so will see if there is any improvement/difference with the double rooms as we stayed in a twin room.
6.0 Good
Pros: Excellent breakfast Good location for trains to Wembley
Cons:
6.4 Good
Pros: A very pleasant & relaxed atmosphere with genuinely welcoming staff.
Cons: Some of the decoration looked a little tired and the seating in the lounge bar could have been more comfortable. Otherwise, first rate.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: This hotel was perfect for me, it immediately changed me from tense to relaxed, wether it was the polite and friendly staff or the option of a morning swim I don't know. The roomwas perfect and comfortable with easy to use facilities.
