Pickup was crowded. Car we requested was not available. Was looking for a 4 door Mazda or similar. We were offered an electric car which would not have worked so we were given a 2 door mustang. Worst car rental experience ever!! Getting the car was over a two hour wait..horrible. Then after they assigned us a car when we got to it someone else had also been given that car and were already in it so back we went to get another car. When Avis asked for a rating and I explained what happened, absolutely no compensation was offered , just a “we’re sorry”. Sometimes that’s just not enough.Reviewed 23 Apr 2026

If you're looking for a rental experience that actually keeps pace with a busy schedule, this was it. We picked up our car at a Scottsdale, AZ location, and the vehicle was in good shape and a great price. It handled the desert heat and the drive out west like a pro. The real MVP move, though, was the drop-off at LAX. We all know that airport can be a gauntlet, but this was remarkably seamless. We literally just pulled in, dropped the car, and left the keys. No paperwork headaches or standing around. The best part? The shuttle was parked and waiting for us the second we stepped out. We were at our terminal in under five minutes.
