Pros: Great location , 2 mins walk from plaza de Catalunya. Stuff was extremely helpful. Due to corona virus they allowed us to stay longer in room without additional charges. General Manager welcomes us and give us comfort that all will be fine. This is what a great leader and manager does. Thank you. We spend 2 days in the hotel and everybody try to make us as much as possible comfortable.

Pros: This is a beautiful boutique hotel in a perfect location to explore much of the heart of Barcelona on foot. Fantastic, super helpful staff and fun atmosphere from the downstairs lounge and outdoor garden to the rooftop terrace. I loved all the unique artwork throughout the hotel.! The rooms were lovely and mine had a small terrace. Can't wait for an excuse to go back!

Cons: I can't think of a thing I did not like. Lots of comfortable space to work on my laptop throughout the hotel, and no matter what the hour the staff were gracious about never rushing me out of the space.

Cons: If you plan to sleep in at all, don't. It is loud so bring your ear plugs and white noise machine. The housekeeping staff were the worst noise offenders. I had to ask them politely to keep it down early one morning.

They helped me organize my moms birthday and themselves they congratulated her several times. When I got uncomfortable in my room I got a new one with upgrade. Cons: The decor was a bit weird. The bathtub/shower sill was far too high and was dangerous (we were traveling with an architect and we are convinced that this height does not meet code). In addition, the gym was very poor. They only had a few machines and 2 of them were broken.

Was probably hip in its day but carpet dirty, paint dingy, floor leading to Sky Bar and restaurant was linoleum and all bubbled up and needed replaced. Room is very small and cheaply made. Bathroom sink was reprinted and peeling off. Shower was paultry and leaked onto bathroom floor. Carpark extremely smelly and not well lit. Costs 27.50 euros overnight!!! Supposed exclusive checkin on 25th floor is in same room as concierge suite among everyone drinking and eating. Not very attractive or professional upon arrival. Quite frankly ground floor checkin and bar area is far nicer.

Cons: We had an issue with open plan bathroom which could be seen from bedroom. We asked for it to be blocked off and this was done. The tapas in early evening lacked variety. We preferred the food in the Level at Berlin Melia.

Pros: Staff was very pleasant. Our room wasn’t ready when we checked in so we chose to upgrade to a bigger room. The room, however, reeked of smoke so we went back and complained. They immediately changed us to another room.
The hotel is in a great location, near restaurants and shopping centers. Public transportation is a block away. Breakfast is excellent. There is a rooftop pool and bar with a great view.
Cons: The bathroom lacks racks and hookscto hang wet towels and clothes. TV has limited English channels. Limited electric outlet for US plugs so bring adapters.

The swimming pool only opened from 1000 hrs until 1700 hrs which meant that anyone there for work would probably never be able to go to the pool, while pictures show a night-time view of Barcelona from the deck. I asked for room slippers which is quite basic & the hotel did not have any. They also had a problem with deliveries being made to the room, even though they begrudgingly allowed the person. He gave us tipa for our stay, offered to print out our tickets to La sagrada familia, which were ready for us as soon as we went downstairs. We really enjoyed the customer service here it was the best received in our entire trip in Spain.

Cons: The hotel should have an indication that it is a family hotel, there are quite a few children in the hotel lobby, at breakfast, and in the corridors, always running around and making some noise. The elevators leave us on hold sometimes 8/9 minutes because when it opens it is full and we have to wait again. The employees are not the friendliest.

Cons: Had a booking on 12 March, a day before the Covid-19 lockdown in Spain. Requested to move dates or at least partial refund. Got nothing. They even claimed that it's absolutely safe to travel to Barcelona. It's sad to know that some people value their profit higher than peoples life. Extremely unpleasant experience.

Cons: Hello my reservation was from 14.03.2020-18.03.2020. Im from Germany , i didnt flight in Barselona because of world situation with Coronavirus. I was calling in the hotel from 12.03.2020 and was asking if i can change for different dates. I can schow how many times i was calling and speaking with them. All workers in the hotel told me that its possible to change , they asked me from what country Im and then told me that i need to write them letter . I got two different e-mail adresses it was h5560-re@gmail.com also I was writing in h5560@gmail.com. After i wrote them i was calling in the hotel to ask if they got my letters. All people in hotel told me that they have not possibility open e-mail. Then i was talking with one guy from reception his name is Oscar. Oscar told me that my reservation not possible to manage because i already paid but he need to ask manager in the hotel. Oscar asked manager and he told that they will change my booking dates. Last time i called them 16.03 and i asked why i didnt get any answer. Woman from reservation departament first told me that sche will check if im not in the hotel to change my booking dates and then she told that they cannt do anything. Its first time in my life that i see so TERRIBLE stuff in hotel. Maybe if they told me from the very beginning that they will not change booking dates i would not call them 100 times. Today i got letter that hotel is not able to rebook dates that all quastion we need to give in booking. com. They lie because booking.com sent letters in all hotels with request to back money or rebook reservation for all people that booked hotels till 30.04.2020. Anyway i can say that i booked through booking trips in March and they changed dates of reservation WITHOUT problem only Novotel Barselona dont want change dates ! Terrible service!!!!

We were in the city in a perfect location, within walking distance of all the sites anyone would want to see in Barcelona. However, the hotel made us feel as though the city was ours. There was a feeling of exclusivity the hotel offered in it's design. More like our own private apartment. The staff was so friendly, that it gave the impression they were there just to make you happy. Many nice little touches in the hotel design that gave it a modern cool feel. Highly recommend.

Cons: The sitting room was missing one of two chairs. I know because the same room one floor higher we were reassigned to had both and a lamp. The showers have granite floor covers and they move and make horrific noises and in the case of our first room concealed bugs and debris that smelled and looked horrible until the water made the bugs obvious on the edges with the debris. Nightmare! They moved us but it left us wondering about the next room and hotel generally. The next room actually had a bed for two as we were confirmed for, proper amounts of chairs, lamps, etc. Did not feel like it deserved a 5 star rating for many reasons. Won’t go back

Cons: Very nice location for this hotel but are few things that have to be improved:-when you step in to the room is not a fresh air and the cleaning maintenance is low, -the bed line doesn’t have a nice fresh smell and the mattress is not very comfortable, the bed move all around. in a room that you have 2 guests you are supposed to have 2 toothbrushes, the shower gel and shampoo they are all in one bottle and is not a quality one. About breakfast it’s just ok are not so many options, if you looking to have fried eggs or an omelette that is not possible, I was expecting the orange juice to be more tasty but is not.

Cons: I did not like that when you open the room’s door you enter to the bathroom and the bath is right there in front of the door. So if someone is taking a bath, then we cannot open the door (for example to go out or if someone is knocking). Also in the toilet some insects appeared sometimes, which made me uncomfortable to use it. Spa should be free to use at anytime. Also downstair the computers needs coins to use, but when i put the coins in the computer’s mouse did not move at all so I couldn’t use the computer.

Cons: Gentleman who checked us in at the front desk was not friendly at all. At one point, it looks like the hotel was probably a great place to stay. While it's not in terrible conditions, there are signs of wear and tear that could warrant a renovation. During our two night stay, outside of the spa (there were several people in the spa), we only saw two couples (4 people) in the lobby. The neighborhood where the hotel is located does not feel safe. There is graffiti everywhere on the surrounding buildings and walking the streets at night was not something we were willing to do. Also, it's located too close to loud nightclubs. To top it off, the hotel actually charges extra for "soundproof" rooms. Being able to sleep at night shouldn't be an extra charge...

Cons: our door didnt shut if you just let it close, you had to slam it and make sure. after the maids had been it, we came back on both occassions to find the door unlocked and open!! i thought this was highly unacceptable

Cons: The kitchen staff was not nice and they seemed like they were doing us a favor more than anything. The food was not very good, especially for being that expensive.

Pros: Location is very good: quiet area away from the center, yet close via the metro, and in the vicinity of Parc Guell. You are in real Barcelona, not in the tourist-filled Rambla area.
Cons: Breakfast is too expensive for what it offers. Noisy. Air conditioning was totally ineffective in our room, despite informing the staff. Bed too hard: back aches followed.

Pros: The hotel has many safety measures against Covid-19 and that made me feel safe. All staff were extremely friendly and breakfast was delicious. My room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. I will come back!

The noise of the staff at the cafeteria at 12pm & at 6am. The staff of the cafeteria is not welcoming and always in a hurry for us to leave. Once, a member wanted to clean our table whereas we had not finish !!! And they reduce the space of the cafeteria too, the place was crowded but it was easier for them to clean it !!!
We had not enough towels once and not enough brush glasses throughout our stay.
The mastresses are too old. I had a backache for 2 days !!!

Cons: We were a group of 4 people and rented a Studio. It was bigger than we imagined from the pictures but the couch was a bit tricky for 2 people to sleep on it. Also it was a bit cold în the room.

Pros: The location is perfect in the Gothic Quarter, 10 minutes from La Rambla. Also very close to the metro station, so you can reach every part of the city easily. The breakfast is nice, there is everything you could want to eat, and it is quality food. The staff has been amazing, very available, they were never stopping to ask if they could have done something more. We really felt welcome. The rooms are ok, not the best I have ever seen in a hotel, but nothing to complain about. For sure a hotel in which I would come back.

Cons: This is a three star hotel at best; we were truly disappointed. Room was noisy, very small, furniture cluttered the room and below average for cleanliness. Staff was unfriendly and on one occasion extremely rude when we asked for fresh coffee at breakfast

Cons: Had to wait to check in for one hour as system had been down for four days--everything was being done manually. Room key didn't work after two attempts. Security was called to get us in the room. Turned out that room was already occupied.

Cons: Barcelona, especially in the center can be very noisy during the night. The property didn't have any glass in the window (not that it's cold enough :D) but the noise wasn't even bigger due to that. I would recommend you to take your earplugs with you :)

Pros: The staff was really 5* ! The location was really good. The breakfast was good enough for its very cheap price (compared to going to a café). The bathroom was very clean and I taking a hot shower at the end of the day felt so good!
Cons: The hostel was under renovations at the time, the vibe of travelers wasn't really the best. There was almost no interaction between people there, not like most hostels. My room was on the ground floor, at night had quite a lot of noise and didn't have enough natural light. I chose this hostel because the bunk beds had curtains, but the light in the room goes directly on top of the upper beds and it's very white and bright. Quite stupid light design. A simple change in lightbulb to one with yellow light and with focal direction to the ground would make such a huge difference!

Cons: I saw one cockroach in the restroom, but I guess maybe it is normal situation for that neighborhood. Residents doesn't have any space for the trash in their homes so they leaves the trash on the streets so i'm not surprised.

Cons: You could hear the noise from outside. The room's door had a significant space above the floor, so the light from the hall was passing to the room during the night. Also you cold perfecty hear when someone was passing on the hall.
