Pros: Breakfast was delicious. Shower fabulous and high-quality toiletries and towels, robe, bedlinen. Loved quality of teabags and having a teapot and coffee maker. Bed very comfortable and room spacious.
Cons: I couldn't switch off the lights from the bed. This was a real issue for me. I need to get up in the night to go to the toilet and I was bumping into the chair and the bed to find my way. I decided to put the bathroom light on, for safety, in case of an emergency evacuation, which affected my sleep as the room was too light. I mentioned this, gently, at checkout when asked how my stay had been. The member of staff did not appear interested and I got the impression that my feedback was not really wanted, valued or respected. So it slightly tarnished what was otherwise a pleasant stay.
6.7 Good
Pros: Good location
Cons: I emailed the hotel 2 weeks before our stay and requested parking but they didn’t respond. Ended up parking in the NCP. Service at breakfast very slow. The breakfast was cold which was rather disappointing given the high price. Room was very nice but we were located at the front of the hotel which was very noisy on a busy Saturday night. Lovely bathroom and bath but a shame the hotel didn’t provide any bath products

Pros: Usual high standard. great staff nice clean room with a very comfortable bed.
Cons: on third floor, would have been nice if a lift was available.
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast was nice. Could have included more vegan options
Cons: Room 231 needs to be better soundproofed, as it's near the entrance and you can hear everyone going through and opening and closing the doors. Ideally the door to the room should also have an edge covering the gap between the door and the floor/walls to keep the light out. As the curtains are very good and keep any outside light out it is a pity that the room door shines like a beacon when one is trying to sleep

Cons: the room was very hot even tho the central heating was off due to central heating boiler behind locked door in room and all hot water pipes ran under the floor creating under floor heating making the room overpowering and uncomfortable to sleep, apart from this room ok.

Pros:
Cons: Room noise from traffic
7.0 Good
Pros: Bed was comfortable, breakfast was delicious, all staff were wonderful and it's ideally situated for shopping as right next door to Cabot Circus
Cons: Looks very tired, bedroom to small for 2 double beds, bathroom very dated and the fixtures to get a shower were extremely hard to use and one of the lifts wasn't working so caused mayhem at busy periods
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Big room with amazing views, massive TV, room temperature very easy to regulate, superb bed. Mathew at reception was extremely kind and helpful. The ladies serving breakfast were lovely. Great breakfast. I went to attend a conference during the day and lunch and coffees were very good, the conferences falilities were nice. Definitely a good place for business. We had a great stay.
Cons: Nothing important but just few things I noticed: the wallpaper was getting detached from the wall in a couple of points and the hose shower was quite old and liking.
1.0 Poor
Pros: Location
Cons: they checked us into a room which was occupied !! Then told us they couldnt giv us the executive room as there were none available they informed us you would refund the £80 difference I told them it was booked in October? No alternative was offered to

Pros: Cookies on check in was a nice touch. Bed was comfy and breakfast was good.

Pros: Fab location Lovely room with gigantic rain shower The breakfast is lovely
Cons: The parking is expensive The main lifts were not working so this made it a lengthy wait for the 1 lift to service all floors! We ended up carrying our bags down the stairs!! We ate in the bar upon arrival - I had the fish and chips and it was terribly over cooked and hard as if it had been waiting in the serving hatch for a king time - not very nice. The room service menu only allows sandwiches or pizza as there is no chef at night.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were very friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them.
Cons: A very wide range of things for breakfast and very nicely presented but unfortunately the cooked breakfast looked and tasted lovely but it was not very hot at all .

Pros: The room wasn't clean, windows very dirty, bathroom with mold, no toilet brush so the person you're staying with has to see what's there, not very nice. No bathtub but shower, with a weird system to get to the water and very low pressure (you won't wash your thick hair there, that's for sure). The reception person wasn't friendly she was speaking very fast with a tough accent so it was complicate to understand, and we had to ask where is our room and where are the elevators, it seemed to be to much to ask. The room was very cold, so we turned on the heating system that works through the AC device and made a huge noise the whole night... We asked for an extra blanket because ours was a summer comforter, clearely not warm enough, so they got us a second comforter, without bed sheets. Gross. How many people used it that way too? The place wasn't a hostel of course, but for the price we payed we would have expected much better and much cleaned.

Pros: Great staff, great room, very comfortable. Really enjoyed our stay. Good value for Money.
Cons: There was nothing bad about this hotel.
6.3 Good
Pros: Very close to railway station and shops
Cons: The parking and staff weren’t overly helpful.
5.4 Okay
Pros: It was central to the shops and the docks.
Cons: The first room we were in was extremely cold and even after having a member of staff check the heating and putting a portable heater on it was so cold that we asked to move. We were moved to a lesser room but at that point we just wanted some warmth. The member of staff then informed us that the window was open in the first room but seeing as both my husband and I had checked the windows we knew this wasn’t true! Not quite sure why she felt she needed to say that? The previous occupants had obviously been cold too as there was a heater in the wardrobe and as we were checking out, another couple ahead of us were also complaining about how cold the rooms were. The second room was definitely warmer but considering we had the heating up to 30 all night and the room was at a tepid heat, there is definitely an issue with the thermostats.
6.2 Good
Pros: Location, very helpful staff
Cons: No water in the room, the receptionist said they have stopped giving water in the rooms. You therefore have to pay and wait for water from room service.
The room also had some large areas of damage to the walls, it looked as though a decorator had not finished repairing something.
Overall though the decor of the room was modern and clean

5.0 Okay
Pros: Location.
Cons: Bathroom wasn't clean. Towels were stained, thin and small. Bed was uncomfortable. The man who checked us almost insisted we must have come to the wrong hotel when the issue was technology not working properly and they couldn't find our reservation on their system.

Pros:
Cons: Unfortunately my room was over looked by offices (room320) therefore I was unable to get ready for my daughters graduation without the curtains closed! Difficult to put your make up on very well. I had booked my (& other family members) rooms (4) for a few nights so we could take our time getting ready in the morning and relax. It would have been nice to have had vertical blinds so that some day light in the room.

Pros: Always close to best part of the city and value for money
Cons: There is some refurbishment going on so a little noisey in the afternoon
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Great location, lovely and clean and very friendly staff.
Cons: There was a mixup taking payment on their side when I checked in and someone called to my room door at 11am in the morning to resolve it. A phonecall would have sufficed... Also 2 of our 4 room cards didn't work well
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Location perfect. Decor modern. Very clean.
Cons: Room a little on small side.
7.1 Good
Pros: The reception crew were all very welcoming and helpful, particularly helpful when our electronic door keys failed to work (on TWO occasions)
Cons: The housekeeping crew were clearly interrupted during the servicing of our room. Hence, while the bin had been emptied, the bed was left unmade and both tea mugs were left unwashed on the bedside tables, also with no top up of tea/coffee etc. Whilst this might happen in a small guest house it should never occur in a 3 star city centre hotel.
4.0 Okay
Pros:
Cons: Room access cards are a huge problem. Had to get a new one several times - very inconvenient as I was at the far end of the corridor. The problem is well known by staff and applies throughout the hotel - completely spoilt the stay.

Pros: Quiet location close to the train station. Clean & modern build. Staff welcoming & attentive while recognising personal space.
Cons:
10.0 Excellent
Pros: great location, really convenient, and a great stay
Cons: room card stopped working after night 1 (stay was 2 nights)
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly staff. Luggage store. Cafe. Quiet for location.
Cons:
4.0 Okay
Pros: Staff were very pleasant and seemed to be hard working
Cons: The smallest single bed I’ve ever seen. I could hear next door having a shower. The curtains are weird and didn’t close properly. The room decor is like a 1970’s canteen but probably good for wiping clean! Strange experience for £135!!!!
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing
1.0 Poor
Pros: Clean facilities
Cons: Double room booked. Two single beds combined given which moved throughout the night resulting in very poor and very disturbed sleep.
7.7 Good
Pros: Close to station , great hot and strong shower, online checkin
Cons: Room overlooked by office workers next door, room freshener smell is overflowing and makes room smell like cheap car freshener. Needs power or USB port at bedside.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Room design and layout
Cons: Nothing

Cons: Toilet near 309 was pretty gruubby in the morning i.e. 8.40 am, used sanitary towel left on top of bin and paper on loo floor.

Pros: Comfortable enough, with unexpected necessities included such as magnifying mirror in the bathroom to comfortably put make up on.
Nice firm bed and soft pillows.
I would recommend it to friends and family traveling through Bristol for its awesome centric location with river front view.
Cons: I did not like the fact that breakfast is not already included at that price.
It was a terrible racket noise coming from the above floors in the early hours that woke us up, bit uncomfortable considering I was looking forward to a longer sleep in.
7.0 Good
Pros: Nice room, quiet good facilities very nice en suite
Cons: Lift took ages as 1 out of order. Got lift to 4th floor but key card did not work on door, walked down 4 flights as no sign of lift for ages, sorted out key card, staff were using the lift so then walked the 4 flight back up all carrying heavy bags and in a rush to meet friends in town.
7.0 Good
Pros: Liked the size of the room and the view of the river from the window. Bed very comfortable. The hotel was in a good position in Bristol.
Cons: Did not like the breakfast at all! The food was not very warm and quite often we were waiting for the breakfast items to be filled. The juices ran out and the coffee machines did not work properly all three mornings we were there. Hardly any staff available to ask about gluten free options so did not bother (good job that I took my own food!!). On the Friday night, there was a party and the music was blurting out till 1am on speakers actually outside the hotel!! Why?? There was only one lift working and on the last morning there was not light in the remaining working one!
7.0 Good
Pros: Location was good.
Cons: The price, I thought was on the high side - the hotel is a little dated and felt a price of £163.00 was over the top.
7.0 Good
Pros: Breakfast
Cons: Needs more lighting, reception is not that welcoming or the lift area. Extra pillows needed
6.3 Good
Pros: Location and friendly staff.
Cons: Location is perfect for downtown Bristol but, the rooms and common areas are looking a little dated and disheveled.
6.0 Good
Pros: Location was great
Cons: The breakfast was average. the cooked food was warm-ish rather than hot. The air conditioning din't do much at all, so the room was hot and stuffy.
5.0 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: breakfast food was cold at 6.45am room door card would not open door , 3 X had to have it reset on reception to allow rooom access , very frustratiing

Pros: Spacious rooms
Cons: Cost and the only heating was the air conditioning which meant the room got cold during the night. Even on low it was too loud for sleep
6.0 Good
Pros: comfy bed
Cons: I was a bit dissappointed with the stay as i booked two rooms one for me and husband and one for my sister and her husband and their room was a lot smaller then ours. Then in the morning when it came to have a shower rick had a shower and the water was 2 inches deep. Then 5 minutes after i left it to go down and there was all muck come up from the drain so i swilled it down and then it started to fill up with water again. Before the stay we had problems trying to get hold of anyone either. We have stayed there before and had a great time but this time i have to stay we were left feeling a bit flat, and especially as we went to have breakfast and at £16 per head it was no different to any other breakfast so why so expensive. Such a shame as we were celebrating my sisters 40th , but never mind Clare Byron
8.2 Excellent
Pros:
Cons: Bedroom needed dusting - badly
6.3 Good
Pros: Good fitness centre and pool. Parking on site. Breakfast choice and quality is very good. Good location for exploring Bristol and shopping.
Cons: Decor is tired. Our room had single glazed windows. Water and black mould on inside. Glass had been frosted, so you could not look out the window. Mould in bathroom, around the shower. The weather was very cold during our stay, the heating in the room was noisy and struggled to keep the room warm. All areas of the hotel were chilly.
6.0 Good
Pros: Lovely large clean room, very comfortable bed.
Cons: A very nice brief stay marred by a terrible restaurant experience. When the waitress asked if we wanted anything else as she was about to clear the table, we had to explain that after an hour's wait we still hadn't been served the main course. This was a surprise to her. It then came quite quickly. The pork ribs were cold and congealed - the accompanying corn on the cob was also cold and covered with a slime of cheap cooking oil. We sent it back and asked for pasta instead, which was chewy and came with a supermarket sauce on top. The individual staff were perfectly pleasant - although we didn't get any sort of apology - but a four star hotel really should do a lot better with its restaurant than this.

Pros: The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable and it was a bonus to be able to use the heat pump (air con) to adjust the room temperature to exactly the level I found comfortable ( I so often find the room temperature too hot for me at night and even if it is possible to alter the room temperature it is often still higher than I prefer). Great to have a bath to soak in. The breakfast buffet has a good sensible range and all the hot food, although left out heated, was still edible, not hard and rubbery. Very convenient location right in the middle of the city but there was no outside noise to disturb my sleep at night.

There were lots of Christmas parties and we were advised at time of check in but we were put on 3rd floor and didn't hear a thing.
Cons: Breakfast was average. Twice housekeeping knocked on our door and gave no time before coming in but luckily were were not in a compromising state! Drinks in the bar very expensive (2 double rum & miser £27!!!!) so suggest going out instead.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel was well appointed, comfortable and centrally located
Cons: The fridge in the room wasn’t cold
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Charming welcome and such lovely staff. Back again and again as so relaxed
Cons:
5.0 Okay
Pros: Central location
Cons: Family of 5 and 2 children. Reason for visit was our 21 month old to have op at children's hospital which was delayed until 2 days later. No cot provided in room so 4 slept in double bed night before planned op. Request for rooms to be together was accommodated but there were stairs to rooms so not ideal with luggage and a buggy. Charged £10 for toddler breakfast. Staff in bar and restaurant unhelpful and miserable. Run out of parmasen cheese to go with pasta. Run out of butter at breakfast.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Reception
7.5 Good
Pros: Clean, retro
Cons: The spa was out of order and not reflected in the price or advised prior
6.0 Good
Pros: Location near to clients I was due to meet. Bathroom was good.
Cons: A chair and work surface for laptop work. I had to sit on the bed. Room similar to Ibis and travel lodge. Didn’t feel it was value for money.
4.2 Okay
Pros: The location was great.
Cons: Everything was just about ok but I wouldn't advise using the "spa"as it's in serious need of a revamp. I also didn't appreciate someone elses' contact lens floating around in my bath.
Several Christmas parties and 2 weddings were on when we stayed and the staff did try to give us quiet rooms and i don't blame them for the couple having a screaming argument outside our bedroom.
7.0 Good
Pros: Excellent location for Bristol Hippodrome and shopping
Cons: Unfortunately leisure facilities were not available and the staff weren't that apologetic or offer money off or maybe a drink in the bar as consolation.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff.
Cons: No drawer space for clothes in bedroom.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Very convenient location right in the middle of the city but there was no outside noise to disturb my sleep at night.
Cons: There were only bedside tables, no bedside lockers with drawers, which wasn't a problem this stay, as there was some other storage for more personal things such as underwear, make up, etc. However on a previous stay in a single room there was no storage whatsoever for these items so I had to leave them in my bag.
