Great location for our need to stay close to family in Greenpoint. Room nice, large, clean. Only offers housekeeping every third day is a bit annoying considering the price. Nice workout room and plenty of quiet common areas. Parking in the area is somewhat challenging. Staff friendly and mostly accommodating. Didn’t acknowledge our stay, however, when checking out after 6 days.

Pros (+) Unique hotel, very comfortable, friendly and helpful staff (( (Especially Darren and Nigel!) They have a car service and happily picked me up at the subway stop when I got in and the next day drove me to my daughter 's apartment when it was snowing and I was loaded down with holiday presents. Unbelievable!
Cons (-) Being an old building, there's not a lot of insulation between floors and I could hear the guests who stayed above me.

Pros (+) (1) Large clean space/rooms, great bed. (2) Great friendly staff. (3) Shuttle. (4) Free water and fruit in lobby. (5) Great TV including premium networks (6) Very useful maps and other hand-outs at desk..(7) Internet.(8) Restaurants and subway within walking distance but nothing immediately near hotel.
Cons (-) Weaknesses: (1) They filled most of refrigerator with over- priced drinks. Annoying though some would find it a plus. Would rather see this stuff and more sold out of the way in the lobby.(2) Sold only junk food-nothing substantial for the microwave. An essentially a foodless hotel.
