I arrived at Indianapolis Airport, went to pick up the kiosk, and it took a long time to complete the process. That's not the part that disappointed me. I was supposed to have a medium SUV, had none at the moment, and they offered me a 7-passenger van, ABSOLUTELY not. Said would be a few, and that they would have an SUV cleaned and ready. 1st SUV, kicked back, not available due to a safety recall. (Great catch on safety issue) Then offered me a GMC Terrain, ok. Now, to pick up the point, several others awaiting their vehicle waited patiently, but then no Terrain came out. Attendant asks. What am I waiting for?" The GMC Terrain he checked didn't see anything coming, and offered me a GMC Sierra Pickup. I'm fine with that, but I'm not paying extra. This is your issue, not mine. Attendant then said, "Oh, no, you will pay the same price, and I'll take a day rental off your charge. I said OK, got in the vehicle, drove off, and had a wonderful rental and time in Indy. I went to drop off at the end of the visit and was told by the attendant that I would receive an email with the receipt. I am still waiting for the email. Found a copy of the receipt in my Kayak account, and seems no discount was given to me. Very Disappointing.Reviewed 27 Apr 2026

Upon arrival to pick up my rental car there was only two attendants working at the budget counter with extremely long line. Which I find that very unacceptable. The car had a very nasty smell on the inside It smelled musty like the sunroof had been left open and the car had gotten wet on the inside. It is impossible to get a hold of somebody there at the local budget office at the Indianapolis airport which that is totally frustrating. I love something behind in the car and I have reported it and still have not heard anything back from them. I will not be renting from there again.Reviewed 26 Mar 2026

Now, in addition to Kayak, Expedia, etc, there are third parties (the two I have experienced were in China and Hong Kong). Is there a benefit to the consumer? NO. All it means is another company to pay and, therefore, higher prices for the consumers. Don't use these. Go directly to the car company.Reviewed 22 Jan 2026

Rental car advertised as a car like a Toyota RAV4. What we got was a stripped down Chevy small SUV with 20K miles and bad windshield wipers. I didn't see any RAV4s at pickup or drop off. Lots of Kia, Hyundai, and Chevys.Reviewed 29 Nov 2025

I got to the counter only to find the reservation was booked for the wrong day. The counter agent indicated the reservation would be canceled, but apparently it was not. Later I found a charge ~$330 on my corp card for a car I never rented... I'll be calling Monday to dispute the charge.Reviewed 26 Jan 2025

I booked for $91 but I paid $194 when I dropped car off.I was told $3.50 per gallon for gas but I was charged $7,50 per gallon by O’Hare budget car rental place and also extra fees which never mentioned to me by Indy budget car rental place.
