Cons: At first they "couldn't find" my reservation; they tried to charge me more than twice my reserved rate; and they had me returning it to the same location when I had a one way rental. Once I used my smartphone to pull up my email and showed them the reservation then they were suddenly able to find it in their system. My car wasn't ready so they found another car but it was an upgrade which is normally a $30 a day extra fee but they only were charging me an extra $15 a day. By this time I had wasted so much time in their facility I told them just give it to me so I could get on my way. The Representative was very polite during the entire ordeal but just didn't give me what I reserved in the time it was supposed to be ready. I haven't received the final bill yet. I'm expected a battle.

A smokers car
Pros: Rental was easy. Drop off was convenient. Kayak reservation was quick.
Cons: After a short bit in the car an overwhelming cigarette smoke smell appeared. Created an asthma attack for my wife throughout her entire 7 hr drive home.Tried to talk to Hertz about this but everyone says we must talk to someone else. We've received no calls back. Bad customer service on the side of Hertz.

worst customer service ever!
Cons: I asked to change my pickup to another location. I specifically asked if my rate would change if I did it? I was told it would not. Then I received an email confirmation that my daily rate almost doubled!! I spoke to both site managers who said they couldn't do anything?? I tried to reinstate my original reservation, and I was told that rate was not available anymore... Just a case of ignorance and an unwillingness to correct an error that was the fault of their company!! I went to Enterprise, and will never bother with Hertz again..Drop them!!
