Pros: We love everything about visiting the Ayres Hotel. The people. The food. The rooms. Its proximity to Starbucks and shopping and close to Disney.
Cons: There were ants in the bathroom
Pros: Very happy with the accommodations. Clean, comfortable, updated room.
Breakfast was great and all staff I encountered were very friendly
Just steps from UCI Medical Center and the Outlets at Orange and a short distance from Disneyland Resort, Ayres Hotel Orange offers pristine accommodations and all the comforts of home. Complimentary amenities include parking, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a daily full breakfast buffet.
Pros: The actual room was fine, just as you would expect from any non-budget hotel. On the online booking site it was described as a "boutique hotel" in an excellent location. There was nothing special about the place. I have no idea why it was described as "boutique." I booked there based on the description to give my daughter a different experience than the other hotels on our vacation, but it was very similar to the Doubletree we stayed at in Flagstaff on our drive out. I don't know what I expected, but I was certainly not impressed.
Cons: The price was about double what it should have been for a similar room at a name brand hotel chain. I would NOT book a room there again.
Website reviews also stated hotel was 0.7 miles from Angels Stadium. According to my car odometer and Google Map App it was closer to 1.1-1.2 miles, too far for my daughter to walk in summer heat.
If you have to drive to get where you are going anyway, location is NOT an advantage as advertised.
Pros: Clean and quiet.
Cons: Breakfast selection was limited and quality was not very good. Having stayed at other Ayres properties, I expected better. The free hot breakfast was a main reason for booking here.
Pros: The staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They helped us save money by booking a town car to the airport. The free breakfast was great. I liked that check out wasn't until 12pm. The hotel was located a short bus trip from Disneyland. For $5 we could by an all day bus pass. The bus drivers were always friendly and on time in most instances.
Pros: great value, friendly and helpful staff, comfortable clean rooms with great beds/bedding
Pros: breakfast. Good value.
Pros: The location in proximity to Angels stadium was fantastic. Nice decor, clean and quiet rooms, good breakfast.
Conveniently located across the street from the UC Irvine Medical Center, The Outlets at Orange, and a short distance from the Disneyland Resort, ALO Hotel is a hot-spot for both leisure and business travelers. Guests enjoy spotless guestrooms, and complimentary amenities include parking, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a daily full breakfast buffet.
Pros: They just need to service better at the bar and deploy more people during peak times
Pros: I love the shuttles that they have for Disneyland. It's probably a 10-15 minute ride over depending on traffic. All the shuttle drivers are nice and helpful. Rooms are always clean and nice staff are friendly and have cookies at the front desk if you ask.
Cons: When we tried to go to Disney on Sunday they changed the bus schedule on us. We didn't know until 15 minutes after the shuttle was supposed to arrive and we asked. If you stay and go to the park keep up on shuttle schedules because they change! Paying $15 a night for your own hotel parking kinda sucks too.
Pros: The room was very spacious and for the most part, clean. The view from our room was great, we could see Angels stadium.
Cons: The carpet could use a deep cleaning. My son is a crawler and we didn't realize the floor wasn't clean (to the eye, it looks pristine), it's a dark carpet and hides a lot. My son's knees and hands were black from the carpet, for the short time we allowed him to explore.
The hotel is next to a hospital, so there is a lot of noise from sirens. It wasn't too bad, and easily ignored. A little disappointed wifi was not included for the amount we spent on the room.
Pros: We arrived early and they accommodated us with an early check-in. The room was standard and pretty clean. The hotel staff was great and even helped us find a great sushi place to go for dinner. The housekeeping staff was great as well. For a quick trip, the overall experience exceeded my expectations for paying such a cheap price. Would definitely return.
Pros: Bed was supper comfortable
Cons: Parking situation. The parking lot was full in front of the building. I had two cars and was told I wouldn't be charged for parking one. That wasn't not true. Also. When they parking lot was full. There was no one there directing anyone to the other parking structure. I had to guess and ended up across the street in what I was later told was a federal building parking lot and that I had to move my car before it was towed. The hotel said that I had to park in there structure. I asked how I was suppose to know where it was and the guy just said I'm sorry. It was right there. I was like, right where, there are no signs. Long story short. I paid for 30 min of parking at a federal building parking lot. Instead of the hotel.
Pros: Like everyone, I liked the warm chocolate chip cookie.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The location was convenient. Most people seemed to be there for Disneyland visits and I was not but nobody got on my nerves.
Cons: Parking lot was under renovation so there was no self parking. Fortunately they did not charge for in and out.
Fitness center could use some more machines.
A heads up when I booked the room about the parking situation would have been nice,
Pros: Complementary warm free choco chip cookies upon check in, they were soft and yummy! My son loved that! the beds are the comfiest hotel beds I have ever slept in. Was worried that the ambulances at the nearby hospital would keep us up but the beds were so wonderful that I slept like a little baby. SUPER clean lots of fun things around to do including a complimentary shuttle bus to Disney resort! Only 8 minute drive, SUPER quick!
Also the night time driver Ray is a lot of fun! He did little magic tricks and told cute jokes. He also gave my son another free cookie and even a free Mickey mouse calendar! My son wrote Ray a letter telling him that he was "the best driver EVER".
Cons: They overcharged me. I had two rooms for 4 nights and upon checking in to my room I looked at my bank acct and each room was charged a separate $100?? Called the front desk and had to get my bank on the phone but they took care of it. Had to go without some vacation money for a few days. Then the front desk manager accidentally charged another $100 to my card, leaving me without $300 of my vacation money for several days. Uncool. They did their best to fix their mistakes but didn't offer any compensation for me having to go without my spending money which I was upset about.
Cons: No breakfast. Valet didn't know how to get to the pool.
Cons: The place looks nice once entering the lobby, but it's all down hill when you reach the rooms. Dirty, run down dump.
Pros: The location, facilities and friendly staff
Cons: Food service closed by 11pm on Saturday night
Pros: The fire pit.
Cons: The cash deposit and the pay $15 to park your car. Totally was not describes prior to purchase or I would have stayed at the Embassy suites.
Cons: Very run down

Pros: For what we needed the location was excellent (walking distance to Angel Stadium) and a CVS within a mile. The staff was incredibly nice and attentive. Room service was brought timely and the food was hot. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and catered to everybody's taste buds. The indoor pool area was clean and kid friendly. The Valet staff was extremely friendly even though we didn't use valet he always gave a warm greeting, ensured our needs were met, if I could remember his name, he'd get a kudos. The architecture of the inside of the hotel was very appealing for me. I loved how you could walk out of your room, look down and see the bar/restaurant area. There were four of us, two adults two young kids 8 & 5. Between the breakfast, the evening gathering, location and indoor pool, this hotel pretty much met all of our needs.
Cons: The reason why this hotel didn't get a 5-star rating from us was because of a few different things. First poor maintenance upkeep of the room. The shower door handle was broke from the outside so we had to open the shower door for the kids when they needed to shower. Paint peeling from the bathroom Doors Big patches, you can't miss it.There was one remote for two TVs. The sliding glass patio door latch took two adults to relatch. The security latch on the inside of the room door, screws were coming out of the door. It almost looks as if somebody tried to kick the door and from the bottom of the door. And the couch in the living room area was extremely uncomfortable ito was extremely narrow and the cushions gave away easily. It cost $18 per night to park there.
Pros: Breakfast is outstanding each morning. Great staff, servicing of room and perfect location. Super Clean room. Will DEFINITELY stay again...
Cons: Parking was very limited at the hotel. Seems to be a war between the adjacent college with the college having most of the parking spaces. Makes it really hard for the hotel patrons. They WILL tow you if you park in the wrong place (the staff warns you about this)
Pros: I was very impressed with the way this hotel was run. The staff was courteous, everything was clean, nothing was in shambles. The breakfast was great, and the complementary drinks in the evening was actually a great gathering place. My room was spacious. A wonderful overall experience.
Cons: The only problem I had with my room was that the bedroom tv was not showing all the channels. It didn't bother me that much, seeing that I didn't mention it until I was checking out, and they sent someone to fix it as I was leaving.
Pros: Rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast is good. Prime location
Cons: I got 1 item dry cleaned and they lost my item. I was stressed and pissed off that they couldn't find it. After a full day of them searching everywhere they finally found it. Apparently someone didn’t do their job right. Other then this little incident it was nice. It wouldn’t hurt if they updated the fitness center. Good, but I've stayed in hotels that I paid less and the gym was more up-to-date.
Pros: clean rooms
Cons: Rude staff and very limited parking. I had to walk fairly far with bags ect. Hidden parking fees of $10.
Pros: Complementary breakfast buffet was amazing. Walking distance to Angel Stadium and close to Disney Land. Very nice suite rooms and awesome views.
Cons: It would be nice if they didn't charge for parking.

Pros: Great location, free parking & free breakfast make it a really good value
Cons: The rooms are a bit dated & have experienced heavy usage so some updates & remodels are due.
Pros: Check in was easy, the staff was initially very nice. The room looked really nice and clean. However, I woke up with multiple bites on my neck, face and arms. These were not bed bugs as only areas that were not covered were bitten. These bites are characteristic of mosquito bites. My room was right next to the pool so that might have something to do with it. I told the man at the front desk about it and he did not seem to care. He did not even apologize. He just said he would have housekeeping look. Everything looked nice, however I am now extremely itchy and uncomfortable after staying here. Wouldn't recommend
Pros: I loved the bed. It was so big and comfortable. I never wanted to get out of it. Everything in the room was modern and comfy and I was able to relax. I was very happy to find that I was on floor level and it was easy to find and get into my room. I had all amenities that the website indicated and everyone was friendly. Also breakfast is the most awesome thing in the morning. It took me three days to figure out how to work the waffle maker, but all of breakfast was easy, fast, and healthy and they even had alternatives for lactose intolerance and gluten free stuff. Very considerate.
Cons: On one day, near the end of my trip, they cleaned my room while I was out and did not leave me any towels or washcloths. Next morning, I asked for four towels so I could have enough to shower that afternoon and the next morning and it took more than 2 hours to get towels and I only got three. Not the four I asked for. Also the bathroom was the smallest room in my suite. It was literally smaller than the closet. I expected a larger bathroom.
Also, on the website and when I booked, it indicated FREE shuttle rides to and from Disneyland. They were NOT free nor did the shuttles come every 20 minutes like I was told. It was $3 one way or buy a pass for the shuttle and there was no place close to the hotel to buy a pass. I wound up buying a pass for the ART shuttle at Disneyland as I left the first day I went there as that was the only place I found to buy the ART passes where I went.
Pros: the fact that you are GREEN...
Cons: could of used a pool vest for my kid, since I lost hers...
Pros: The rooms are big, breakfast was great. The guy making waffles was really nice, great with all the kids. The beds are comfortable and it's in a great location.
Cons: The A/C didn't work for squat. Set to 60. Never cooled the room down at all.
Pros: The receptionist and people who worked with clients
Cons: Average rooms
Pros: The cleaning staff was wonderful. I was there for a full week and they made my room look spotless everyday. The breakfast and courtyard were very comfortable and appealing as well.
Cons: The staff at the front desk were very unfriendly and unwelcoming when I showed up. I was there by myself on business and the lady begin to drill me on if I was going to have guests show up to my room and if I was going to throw party. I then gave her my company credit card to book the room and she then proceeded to critique my company. Sorry lady, not what I was asking for. By this point it was after the 3pm check in but she said my room was still being cleaned and I'd have to wait another 20 minutes to check in.
Pros: The rooms looked great, beds were very comfortable, very clean rooms, and the breakfast was great!
Cons: I have no complaints. I would definitely choose to stay there again and I'll send my friends and family if they plan on staying in that area in the future.
Pros: I liked everything, fast check in, professional and warm welcome, beautiful and spacious room and well kept grounds! I would stay here again!
Cons: I disliked the fact I was only staying one night.
Pros: Great beds
Cons: Wifi didn't work
Pros: Great facilities. Common place for families going to Disney.
Cons: Did not recognize my prepaid reservation for the room. had to pay separately for a different room.

Pros: They have upgraded the rooms and the entire hotel we liked it very much
Pros: Small complex only two floors. All accessed from outside. Parking directly outside unit. Close to all major shopping and dinning.
Pros: Very convenient location! Wonderful staff!
Cons: Nothing really.
Pros: Location to where I needed to be.
Cons: Extremely noisy. too close to a major intersection. A/C, didn't properly work. TV Remote was dead and the front desk didn't replace it. For the amount and cost of the hotel, I would have expected more.
Pros: The hotel was close to the Honda Center, where our event was being held.
I stayed at this motel for five nights. Now I have hundreds of bites from bed bugs. The manager I spoke with twice said they didn't find an infestation which is what I assumed he would say. How could he admit finding them. I want a refund but he said that wouldn't happen, and continued to make light of the situation and make snarky comments. For instance, saying he would ask the next bed bug he sees where they hide when I said he must not know what he's looking for if none were found. I have hundreds of bites. Some are on my face and eyelid which is swollen. I have photos of my face and worst areas of bites. Many are developing blisters. I've only been at my home since my stay there and I'm of course worried that some eggs may have been on my property and are now in my home. I made a report to the Bed Bug Registry. I've been miserable and confined with these bites. It's also extremely mentally creepy to think of all these bugs on me while I slept. I gave the management an opportunity to make this right but they weren't even courteous or concerned. I'm pursuing this through Best Western. I very upset by my whole experience and wish I had stayed elsewhere.
Pros: Near a bus stop, some stores, and restaurants.
Cons: I stayed at this motel 5 nights. Odd housekeeping - hairs on towels, pile of used towels on the floor one day, water bottles taken. Ice machine out one day. The main problem is the hundreds of bed bug bites I now have. I'm extremely sorry I stayed here.
The hotel is not large which I liked. The parking was very convenient to the rooms, there were centrally located vending machines and a nice pool area. The staff was friendly and helpful. They also provide courtesy toiletries if needed.
Pros: The room was very clean, nicely updated, and the furnishings new and very nice. It included a flat screen TV, blow dryer, ironing board and iron, fridge, and coffee maker. The bed was very comfortable, but the pillows which were too full and firm for me.
Cons: No, but a microwave in the room would have been a nice addition.

Pros: There was nothing really wrong with the place, it just wasn't very nice.
Cons: The breakfast is just cold cereal danishes and toast. Nothing with protein.
Pros: I liked the spaciousness of the rooms. It's my first time staying at a Howard Johnson Inn and I really liked my room.
Pros: The place was clean.
Cons: The bed had lumps. The side rail of the bed frame was sticking out and kept hitting my legs. The bedding was stained. The bathroom walls looked like a messy cement job. It looked like they rented rooms to monthly occupants. People yelling and fighting outside. It looked like a crack house on the side of the freeway. parking was horrible.
Pros: The room was nice
Cons: The staff was rude!!
Pros: Didn't like anything about this place
Cons: Beds & pillows we're all lumpy. Woke up with an aching body. Sheets & towels were disgusting, we had to go & purchase our own sheets & towels. This place is just gross. Found a cigarette & someone's nasty shoe under the bed.
Pros: The location right next to a freeway, but the room was insulated enough you could not hear the traffic.
This facility had a pool but I would not consider this location a prime spot for a family vacation pool side.
Cons: The occupants in some of the other rooms were a little sketchy. I felt like they were locals who were living there.
We were a party of 4, but a cleaning service kept replacing all our towel with only 2 sets vs 4 sets.
Pros: Thingsvwere clean.
Cons: Parking was difficult. It was next to the 91 freeway on ramp. You had to drive through a gas station to get in and out of the property.

Wake up to a complimentary rise and dine continental breakfast. Comfortable guest rooms include refrigerator, microwave, hairdryer and TV with HBO. Smoke-free rooms are available.
Pros: I loved the hard wood floors, the cable and especially the small fridge and microwave. I felt at home.
Cons: I did not like that the bathroom light switch was attached to the fan. The fan should be optional, it was too loud.
Pros: I would have rather taken my son to a Chevron gas station to use the bathroom then use the one in our room. There were ants it was just terrible. The staff were very nice.
Pros: The staff person who checked me in (different from the person on the phone) was kind. I forgot toothpaste and was able to be provided with some. There was a comfortable, outdoor patio where I was able to wait for my shuttle pick up.
Cons: Complimentary breakfast included ramen noodles, little debby snack cakes, instant oatmeal, sunny D, and capri-sun. The temperature gauge on the shower handle was inverted (I turned toward the side indicated "cold" to make the water hot.) The staff person who answered my phone call prior to my arrival could not be helpful in making shuttle or transportation recommendations for getting from the airport to the hotel, which I found a bit odd.

Pros: Nothing. Never do business with places like this ever again. Worst hotel I have ever seen. Beyond awful.
Cons: Loud music/multiple TVs on until 3 am. Loud. Unclean. Moldy. Bed bugs. Black with mold bathtub drain. Holy god. The list goes on and on.
Pros: I liked that it was cheap
I didn't see any bugs
Cons: -I didn't have a choice between smoking and non smoking. My clothes smelled like smoke the whole time.
-didn't feel like the sheets or towels were clean because there was hair stuck in the fabrics
-there was only a few tv channels.

Cons: The owners/operators were up at 4.30outside my room shouting and being very loud. Could not sleep, on a weekday, when I have to work.
Maid service is awful, they turned out trash and changed towels. They did absolutly no cleaning untill I complained.
Pros: Office smelled like curry, strongly..:-(
Cons: Office smelled like ramen flavor packs...strongly :-(
Pros: It was near lots of food and bars
Cons: The room smelled like bug spray and the A/C smelled of urine there was a condom wrapper in the room

Cons: STAY AWAY!! Had ants in my room and front desk wouldn't take care of it. Had to wait 25 minutes to check in. Room was dirty, towels not clean, bathroom had mold, requested a pan and had to wait 12 hours because they were all being used.
Pros: Found multiple items the previous room users forgot to put in the trash. Housekeeping apparently had a bad day too.
Cons: Location is good for the Angels ball park
Pros: Staff and location
Cons: Floor was sticky and the sheets and pillows smelled dirty.
Pros: Location was great. Walking distance from restaurants, movie theater, Honda Center, Angel Stadium.
Building was well maintained. Looked nice.
Price was acceptable for the quality of the product.
Cons: The room itself was very plain, and dated. The cabinets were white melamine and were yellowing. The sheets were horrible and the bed was flat. The pillows were bad. The furniture was old, dated, and very basic. Even when this room was brand new, it would've looked cheap. Nice, but cheap.
Towels were very cheap. Reminded me of my HS locker room. Bathroom did not have shampoo or bath soap.
While the room was clean, it looked old and dated and contributed to an overall negative opinion. I'm glad I was only there for a few days. I would've checked out if it were for any longer.
This is my first stay in an Extended Stay hotel. Not sure if my experience was typical. I would not recommend this location, unless it's only thing available.
It seemed like there was an apartment atmosphere with some of the people. A lot of people stood around smoking in front of the door at the end of the building.
Pros: Overall accommodations were satisfactory....room clean enough...kitchen in room great for those on long trips...location and ease of access to surroundings is great...a lot of options in the area
Cons: Breakfast...not exactly what they advertise...only coffee and prepackaged granola bars/vending machine worthy muffins...ended too early (9am)....staff was not knowledgeable about the area/could not make recommendations for dining besides McDonalds...even when providing take out menus, they only gave restaurants that were already closed...only 1 out of 5 staff members were friendly...even housekeeping rude when found out I had late checkout...could not provide amenities for what a guest may need in their room kitchen (i.e. wine opener)...but good enough

Cons: air conditioner is noisy. some dirty spots on the carpet.
