I had a long wait at the check in to pick up the car. Their internet was down. This was not their fault, and the lady worked very hard to move the check in line. Once I got my car I could tell it had been smoked in before me. It also had fairly high mileage at 51,000 miles. It was a good value and experience. I would certainly use Dollar Rental Car again.Reviewed 26 Apr 2025

After prepaying for the vehicle, when I arrived at the counter they didn't have any vehicle for me. I had to wait from 9:30 PM to midnight to finally receive an electric vehicle from Hertz (not Dollar which I rented from), and it was a very small vehicle. With two toddlers' car seats, a double stroller, and luggage, this Chevy Bolt was not the vehicle to do the job. I had paid for a full size vehicle. Needless to say, I had to call a friend for help as this vehicle was useless to us. When I contact them the next day they wouldn't answer the phone after several attempts.Reviewed 21 Feb 2025

I didn't even get a car. Upon landing in CLT I saw I had received information so I could check -in. Ad we taxied I tried but kept getting notices of car unavailable, please upgrade. After 3 tries and the price raising every try I walked over to Alamo and got an adequate car for 3 dollars more. It was a joke to even think I had a car reservedReviewed 1 Dec 2024

It felt like an attempted bait and switch with their "Manager's Special" to force me into an expensive upgrade. And, none of the online check-in process was useful as I had to do it all again at the counter.Reviewed 19 Oct 2024

They charged me $38 for being an “underage driver”- I am 51. Realized when I got back from my trip and cannot get a human on the phone. Sent an email 4 days ago, so guess will have to take it up with my CC company.Reviewed 11 Sept 2024
