Horrible customer service. Was told that I needed to wait to be called up in the queue when there was no one in line, which was shared between Thrifty kiosk. They should create two lines to decrease confusion. Representative was incredibly rude and short. They didn’t have the car I reserved and offered me a supposedly equivalent car which was fine but didn’t tell me that I would have to manually charge this car in order to benefit from the electric/hybrid option of the car. Ended up spending a lot on gas when I intentionally booked a hybrid to save money on gas.Reviewed 23 Aug 2025

They charged more than $30 for extra gas because they say in the their system looks like needed more gas, but was full, the lady who Received the car saw the car was full, so that was unfair!!Reviewed 25 Nov 2024

Drop off was easy. Other than that, horrible experience. Did web check in so I could skip the line (their words). Ha! Had to wait in 2 lines. Took over an hour. Then was given a car with over 60K miles, no floor mats, holes in the interior , weird stains everywhere. I chose this Kayak/Dollar deal because it was cheaper than other options, but then I ended up paying an additional $120 upon check in and the desk clerk was not able to tell me what it was all for. She also wouldn't guarantee that the hatch back car would have a trunk cover which is a ridiculous risk for a rental car company to take in the Bay Area. Thankfully the guy who gave me the keys was very kind and switched out the car for one where my bags would not be exposed to potential thieves.Reviewed 26 Jun 2024
