Friendly efficient front desk. Car was clean, no problems. Actually parked where it was supposed to be!. Return of vehicle was seamless. Everything excellent. Did not like the exorbitant deposit on my credit card though, almost twice the total value of the 2 week rent?Reviewed 13 Mar 2025

There is a small price difference between what kayak quoted and actually paid. Looks like a "value added tax" of 10%Reviewed 12 Mar 2025

Hi, for several years I was renting a car from Europecar and all went wey, and i was very satisfied. This time i felt that i was treated in a dis-honest way. I was supposed to get a Full-to-Full tank and instead i got a less than 3/8 tank. It caused me an over expanse of 25 euros. The car is not comfortable and impossible to drive constantly for more than 1 hour. I returned the car 2 days ago and my back and leg still hurt and in pain. I doubt if next time I’ll rent a car from EuropecarReviewed 10 Mar 2025

The man at the counter at Europ Car forced me to take out insurance. I told him several times that I didn't want to take out insurance. He insisted on that. He said it was mandatory in the Dominican Republic. He wanted another $800. The cheaper option is $500. But that was more than I paid for the vehicle. When I wanted to leave after more than an hour, he talked me into taking out a minimum insurance policy of $350. Because I was unsure and wanted to leave quickly, I reluctantly agreed. A very bad experience.Reviewed 10 Mar 2025

Another scam company. I paid online a rent of 90 usd for 4 days. With a serious company, that's all. With Europcar or other scam conpanies, no. I went to the office to pick up the car and they wanted me to pay 250 usd for the car insurance (almost 3 times the price of the rent!!), of course this was never mentioned during the online purchase!! The employee said it was mandatory. After insisting, 'magically l' it appeared a cheaper insurance. After insisting again, 'magically' appeared a even cheaper insurance (around 130 usd). Still, the insurance itself was higher then the price I paid online. Apart from this scam, the car was fine and the process okReviewed 9 Mar 2025

Kayak advertised it as being in the SFO terminal, but never anything about needing to take a shuttle to an offsite location. That extra shuttle time made us late for our first winery visit, which was embarrassing for our group since their first experience was being turned away empty.Reviewed 2 Mar 2025

I am disappointed with kayak because they quoted me a price. On their website and when I arrived to to Europcar I received a different quote. They informed me it was because I had booked to drop the car off at a military base, which I had no idea I had done. I was quoted 55$ or so by kayak and when I got to Europcar I had to pay 160$. I would like some sort of reimbursement from kayak for this mistake.Reviewed 2 Mar 2025
