Cons: Horrible WIFI. Bad coffee and not many healthy choices at breakfast. Terrible parking. Nowhere to unload the car, the parking is slow, Off site and expensive. The Brustol has no door person and this hotel needs one.

Pros: Good bathroom,comfortable bed,courteous & helpful staff.Breakfast was a good experience and the food and service at the trattoria is excellent.Pity the water shortage meant the spa was shut.

Pros: We had a wonderful stay - our view was of a beautiful courtyard with all of Florence beyond, the staff were super helpful, breakfast was ample (and available till noon!), and the breakfast staff fantastic. Would very much recommend this hotel :)

Cons: Rude service, 20+ mosquitoes in the room when we checked in. Did I mentioned really rude service? Poor location unless you just want to see the train station. Did I mention everyone was really rude?

Pros: The man that checked me in was informative. Definitely the kindest person i encountered in Italy. Opened the door and explaned how everything unique at this hotel worked. Beautiful and well kepted historic building. I will be back!

Pros: It was close to the train station.
Cons: Can't believe the price for what you get. SMALL room, very outdated furniture and fixtures. Two twin beds pushed together but they were different heights so didn't really make a double bed. I've stayed in hostels in developing countries that were nicer and more modern than this place.

Cons: Very, very hard to find with GPS and a good sense of direction. Small hotel signage at the end of a busy one way street - with very limited parking. Good if you are walking or taking a cab - nightmare if you are driving.

Pros: Spacious room, nice towels
Cons: They turn off the air conditioner at night because they expect you to open your windows to the "cooler" air. The place is next to a port operating 24/7 loading and unloading cruise ships. Extremely noisy and bright lights all night. The windows are approximately 6ft long by 4 ft wide and you have to open the whole window. There were gale force winds coming in and blowing everything around. So there was either no air circulation with the windows closed or a wind tunnel with them open. The beds were too firm for our liking. Not a place to get a good night's rest.

Pros: A gorgeous view overseeing Genoa. It's close to the port - and it's actually one of the cleanest ports I've seen in my life. Extremely professional staff and a decent breakfast by continental standards. I would highly recommend this, particularly if you are going to the ferry the next day.
