Only one agent at the airport, extreme long wait time to pick up the car. Took about 1 hour, only 5 group ahead of us. Also our car tire leaked, at drop off time, since there is no agent, we couldn’t pass on that info, so next customer will suffer the same car problem

When we picked up the car in Brunswick, we found out that there was no drop box in New Bern Airport NC accessible after 10 PM. Since we had plan to return the car after that time, that forced us to change our travel plans. I really think that these type of restrictions should clearly be stated out at the time of booking so the client knows and can reorganise ahead of time. Very friendly and helpfull personnel in Brunswick.

I couldn’t find the location and no shuttle to the location of the car. The website description makes it seem as though it’s the airport area. It is not. Tried to call the facility but no answer. Ended up getting a rental from hertz which provides transportation to car rental area. DONT PURCHASE FROM THIS VENDER.

We had to call from the airport twice to get a pickup to the rental location which was 10 minute ride . Once there we found out that they did not recognize our insurance and I had to pay $260 for insurance . This now made my rental car more expensive than what was at the airports . Drop off went smooth , but we were dropped off at the rental location other than airport drop off for the airport .

Very bad. We paid by card $14 for two days, but when we went to get the car they ask us to pay 7 times this price plus $150 as a deposit. Why not to tell us the truth from the beginning, so we know the exact price. I am asking for paying me back the $14.

Kayak did not inform me who I am getting the car rental with. When I arrived at the airport, I learnt that the "airport car rental pickup" was not at the airport but a shuttle ride away. This should have been communicated to be at the time of making the reservation. Unlike any of the other car rentals, Green Motion asked me for a very high security deposit of €2,400 for a 1 day rental. I had no option but to pay it because the booking for pre-paid. This was not a great experience and given that I had booked through Kayak, I should have been communicated this information at the time of making the reservation.

Pros:

Comfortable new car that was reliable. But...

Cons:

Upon return they point out a tiny tear in the drivers side tire. I'm talking 1cm deep and 3cm wide, in the tread (not side wall). Was told it would be a discussion but by the time I got off my flight home I had been charged $2000CAD and was only left a 30 second voicemail. Unbelievable.

Cons:

When you use a debit card you have to provide two recent utility bills or other prrof of address. That can be challenging for someone from abroad. Was resolved through use of internet and electronic bills, but caused a delay.

This was as simple as it gets. On line check in so all ready by the time I arrived. Staff were spot on, full explanation and a quick pick up. I was met on return to the carpark and the paperwork was all done in a couple of minutes. A very good customer experience overall.

Staff was fantastic at pick up and drop off. However, we prepaid through Kayak and our vehicle was not available. Our only choices were to go without a vehicle or pay double to upgrade. The last minute rental was a bit pricey to begin with, and the final cost was exorbitant.

Pros:

The friendly, helpful manager and staff made the entire process painless. I was shown round the car and advised on its controls etc. before driving off. Quick pick up and return. I was completely satisfied with the car's condition and, as suggested, it was perfect for my needs. I'll definitely use the Glasgow office again, and would recommend them with out reserve.

Cons:

The only issue with the car (a Jaguar xe) was the low roof as I, and a passenger, banged our heads exiting the car.

helpful, friendly staff (what else would you expect in Glasgow) convenient central location 5 minute walk from central station and next door to motorway system for north south east or west from Glasgow. I even got a upgrade to larger car! Great value will certainly use this company again on my frequent visits to glasgow

Pros:

Staff was dishonest with gas prices, check their word against the receipt. Also any tiny unnoticeable ding on the hubcap will be changed to you. Scotland is the worst place I ever rent cars.

Pros:

I called Hertz 2x before I picked up the car, the 1st time to let them know that my flight was delayed 12 hours, and I was told they would still have my car available. The 2nd time I called to extend my rental a day, and they were very helpful, and extended the reservation at very little cost.

Cons:

Economy Car was not held for me, despite me having called beforehand to confirm it would be. No real effort was made to provide a smaller car when I expressed concern over the huge replacement vehicle I was given (Scotland has tiny roads and they gave me a Volkswagon Caddy). No personnel at drop-off

The staff member who helped me with pickup was so kind and helpful! I really appreciate her patience. (I think her name was Anne, but I don't remember.) Thank you for the free upgrade!!!

I wish the Oxford office had been open when I arrived. I felt a little nervous leaving the car.

Pros:

The car, a brand we had never even heard of (a Seat Leon), was comfortable, compact, thoughtfully designed, quiet, and a pleasure to drive.

Cons:

They could have given us a manual or instructions on the Infotainment system. It was not easy to work out what all the functions were and how to use them, and we didn't even find the CD player (in the glove compartment) until near the end of our trip.

There was an extremely long line and it took us over two hours to pick up the car. Used electric car with a terrible app to find charging stations. Got lucky to turn the car in with miles left.

Drivalia offers cars with letter "e" in description. You don't know-it is full electric. To me it is economy. In Italy the infrastructure for electric cars is poor. Also,Drivalia uses Chinese MG small suv hybrid. This is really weird hybrid you don't want to drive. Eats lot of gas and you have to change this hybrid like full electric car. Milano int. Airport does not have good signs to get to rent garage to drop your car.

Picked up the car and it was filthy. Clearly hadn’t been cleaned since being used before. Key intermittently stopped working and were locked out of the car, when trying to open it manually, car alarm would repeatedly go off. Car was not maintained well.

We liked the good value for money, and the car itself was just what we wanted and had no issues. It was not completely clean though when we received it, nor did it come full of fuel- under half a tank. The pick up and collection from the car park was fine and very quick. It was the wait time at the drivalia desk to sign the contract and pay the deposit which took too long. We joined the queue at 10:30am and we’re not at the front until 12:00pm. We were not in a rush but other customers were as they had plans or connections to make.

I was able to choose the exact car I wanted and was even able to reserve a cooler and boogie board to use for the week. The car was in like-new condition. The free shuttle was convenient, fast and the drivers were nice. The location was a little bit further from the airport, but it wasn't a problem.

It was the first time we rented via Turo, so I don't have a good base reference to compare in general, and can only compare to car rental experiences with commercial fleets (like Budget or Enterprise). In general it was okay -- we made it to where we were going and back, with no major issues. It's doable. However, there were some "surprises" where things didn't quite got as we expected: * We made rental reservation with expectation that we're picking up at the airport. When we got there, it turned out that the car is not at the airport, and the address given to us turned out to be what seemed to be Portland's airport Fire Rescue Tower (where, obviously, we can't even walk to or be at). We called the owner, and turned out that the car is at some house that's "not far" from the airport, and gave us new address. So additional expense of taking Uber/Lyft to get to the car (and apparently that address exists in two neighboring towns, and somehow Uber/Lyft took us first to the wrong one, so we had to take another ride, but that's not a Turo issue, just more expense as a consequence of car not being at the airport as promised). * When we got there, we called the owner to get the keys: "-- Keys are under front door's floormat. -- Nope, they're not there. -- Then try mailbox? -- Yes, they're there." The owner wasn't there, which is okay to do this all remote, but would be nicer if owner was in general "on top of things" such as where the car is and where it is expected to be picked up, where exactly are its keys, etc. * Then owner requested that prior to return we take the car to be washed and cleaned inside and out. We neither planned on looking for car detailing places in Portland, nor for time that it would take away from sightseeing, nor for extra substantial expense it would be. We pushed back and the owner backed off saying that he'll let it go due to confusion with pickup location (and apparently he didn't send some email that he was supposed to send, or something along those lines). * And while the car wasn't too dirty, it wasn't clean to begin with (which made detailing request that more amusingly odd). Crumbs on floor and seats and luggage compartment. Worst part was that windshield was dirty on the inside that was minor unpleasant at daytime, but as driving progressed into night time, it was quite significant as it was blurring lights and affected visibility substantially. * We also added additional driver thru Turo and let the owner know. The owner requested that we send him picture of drivers license directly to him. We refused (as it didn't seem right, given that Turo is the one that manages that aspect) and he backed off. * Of course, additional expense of Uber/Lyft after return drop-off as we weren't dropping it off at the airport as originally planned. So all in all we probably spent additional $50-60 in Uber/Lyft for getting to and from cars location instead of it being in the airport, and lost about 3+ hours for dealing with additional unplanned travel. The rest was okay. Car drove fine and didn't give any problems.
