Modern hotel, near the harbour. Surroundings undergoing major (re-)development. Clean, fresh rooms with cool open plan bathroom. Good breakfast! Wireless reception in room really poor.
Good room, although a little compact. Toilet was clean but small No
modern, clean, amazing room layout and design TV system slow, complicated, useless for me. Strange internet provider, 9.95 EUR per day for WLAN, should be included in the rate.
The location, fairly central yet quiet street and close walking distance to the harbour and metro station.
the atmosphere and the comfort and cleanines of the room
the service was excellent, and the room was very comfortable. There was nothing which I would complain about.
beds to soft
The hotel is brand new and beautifully decorated. We had a wonderful shower instead of the often very high and slippery European bathtub. I would have liked to have taken the shower home. While convenient to the tourist buses, it was quite far from any metro stop. Hamburg must have some of the worst public transportation in the world. We only saw two buses operating on the weekend. We really had to take taxis to get anywhere. A hotel near the central station would be more convenient to the central metro line, but we truly enjoyed the comfort of this lovely hotel.
Location and friendly staff
Clean, modern and stylish. The shower unit is somewhat exposed to the rest of the twin room making us prudish brits need to stare out of the window or pay close attention to a book whilst the other showered
The room was a great value because it had an additional sitting area. The location was perfect and had many restaurants and evening entertainment near it. The breakfast was too expensive. There was not enough front desk personnel in the morning hours when the front desk was busy with check outs.
A good hotel at a fair price.
the size of the room was surprisingly good
Big room (suite style), clean and attractive. Very good bathroom. Quiet hotel, although near busy street and area. The pillows provided were awful, since they are too soft. The internet in the lobby costs 5 euros for 15 minutes - something unaceptable nowadays and in hotels of this level.
Friendly staff - Breakfast menue restricted for the price .
Excellent location - spacious room - quiet - any extra is much too costy: Internat connection, room service, breakfast
The size of the room and facilities such as kettle and microwave.
The position and the comfort of the rooms. Very modern and up to date facilities. Breakfast was varied, fresh and delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others.
All clean, all good
The room was immaculate and comfortable. I have stayed at Holiday Inn Express in the UK but this German one was a class above The only thing that would have improved my stay here would have been free wifi. Surely that should becstandard across all hotels?
Clean, bright, friendly, comfortable and excellent location. A good choice.
Perfect location, walking distance to the old city center
Information Service and Non Smoking Rooms, fantastic! early check out, it could be 2pm
Good location close to city center. Room not very big but well equipped Due to its proximity to the red light distric the security access is very restrictive what is very boring. Parking is not dedicated to the hotel, you need to set your parking bill every day, boring if you have to do every morning. Internet is not free, you need to purchase a vouncher from reception, boring if you have to do every day!
room was ok for a double room and very clean poor breakfast but accetable
Great design and interesting rooms. Great food. The hotel is not in the most scenic location in town.
Amazing decor, fabulous food and a great spa. I loved every second of staying here.
The design and spirit , difference of style variations poor ventilation in the front building
Had a wonderful stay in hotel. I liked spaces and great design. Staff was very helpful, would definitely recommend it. That breakfast was extra.
The lounges, the bar, the Dedon corner, the restaurant, the room
the bed and the pilows
Lovely design. Spacious and beautifully designed clean rooms, lovely dining area and bar. Helpful & friendly staff.
What a great hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Reception staff very accommodating. Concierge gave excellent restaurant recommendation. Spacious, well designed rooms. Amazing bar/restaurant area. And a good location close to St Pauli U-bahn station and Reeperbahn. Highly recommended.
breakfast should be included in the price
Very good, very stylish and trendy
Noise from the techno club downstairs until 9am in the morning.
Good food, very central and nice staff.
Early check in Saund
Location, environment, ambiance, athmosphere, cleaniness No parking facilities
Location in middle of the town, very good No everything was fine
it is close to everything, good and worst places(i mean sex shops) but we are not disturbed in any way, location is good for to reach anywhere you want to go, it is up to you to choose the places you want to eat and enjoy, you can find everything together in walking distance
All very good none
Good position. Nice staff.
A friend of mine had recommended the hotel to me, but other than the location, I knew nothing of the hotel. I found it basic, clean, and very satisfactory. Even having a room overlooking the main street, the noise wasn't too overbearing
Cheap to stay, decently clean Rooms had twin beds, smaller than hotel rooms in the US. We were charged for breakfast in the morning despite no one telling us there was a charge and 1 woman working the breakfast area telling us it was free when we asked her. The front desk refused to accept that anyone said that and laughed at us as if we were crazy, despite the fact that we asked the woman working in the breakfast area if it was free and she literally said yes. Other than that, no issues.
breakfast was good the "computer room" very uncomfortable
The district is strange.
Pleasant staff, excellant room and very good breakfast. Also quiet and central location
Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast and good location on a quite street. Playground for children just next door. It would be good to have 2 chairs in the room.
It was very close to the concert that we were attending. Nice service and we enjoyed our stay. Glad we booked a parking space in the garage - the street is very crowded and narrow ;o)
Location was excellent, near ST.Pauli stadion. Rooms are a bit small so I would not take my family with me.
Nice hotel in many ways, just didn't like the fact that dogs can stay in the rooms.....it maybe a German thing? not sure...but worth staying in. There is no relaxing/seating area in the hotel to unwind. The rooms are very small but clean, not suitable for children.
Liked the hotel. The staff was outstandingly friendly, the hotel had been recently renovated and was modern and freshly done. The breakfast room was inviting and lovely, and the breakfast offered each morning by a friendly staff was sizeable and good. It's a bit far from major metro stops. It's a hike from either the St. Pauli UBahn or the Reeperbahn SBahn. As well, the restaurants in the area are somewhat limited, and very local. The only negative was that the cable television in the room had plenty of channels, but all German. There was no offering in any other language.
Everything! We were pleasantly surprised with generous breakfast items; tourist information available at the front desk; English speaking staff; problem in bathroom quickly rectified upon notification to hotel staff; great location. Great, loved everything!
It was a 10 minute walk from the S-bahn station (which was 2 stops away from the central station). The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. There is no elevator, so you have to be fit enough or have light enough luggage to manage up 2-3 flights of stairs.
the electric blinds making room so dark when sleeping. nothing to comment on
A mervellous hotel and very very comfy. We have reserved apartment Eppendorf, extremely nice and comfortable. All the necessary facilities are handy.
Friendly staff; good location for St Pauli district of Hamburg; lots of restaurants in the vicinity.
A private Hotel/B&B with a personal touch. Great design rooms and appartments, all well planned and thought through. Great location for a city break, Hamburg's young and urban neighbourhoods around the corner. L-O-V-E-L-Y Rooms are on the small side, though not too much so. Breakfast is on the 5th floor, and although the terrace is great, it is way up w/out an elevator. Watch out with toddlers or much bagagge, try to get a room uin the 1st floor.
sereen area, great rooftop view for breakfast with nice food
Nice place. Breakfest opens only at 8.00. Not suitable for business.
area was nice. quiet retreat in a busy district. breakfast starts not before 8am - quite late if you are on a business trip
Location- short walking distance to Hamburg Messe, a lot of bars and restaurants in the vicinity, clean and well designed rooms.
Excellent and very clean, all new rooms. A delightfull stay. Recommend to all.
It was very close til Reeperbahn I got a flat tire, but the staff was very helpfull
the single rooms are poor en small
Friendly staff, close to reeperbahn but good distance away from it Rooms a little small
The staff, especially Yan, were so nice and so helpful. I thought the breakfast was a bit expensive, especially if you were only having a coffee and some cereal
location, room works in progress, poor reception
near where I needed to be be and public transportation Room was too small and except for 4 hangers to hang a coat or jacket, there was absolutely no room to store your clothing (no cabinet, no drawers, nothing)
Good location, good break fast, tidy room. Small bed.
Excellent location, good overall facilities, friendly helpfull staff, excellent value. It would have been nice to have the Bar open a little later but it was ok as was
great location nice staffI liked the personal parking garage....coool
It a nice hotel, centrally located. The rooms are a bit old, but clean and confortable. Breakfast is great! I can recoomend this hotel and consider staying there again! Parking lot are limited, but public transportation is nearby!
Hotel well located near train stop, pretty quite even if it is in aminated area .
Cleanliness of room, breakfast and free wi-fi A bit of unfriendly attitude of receptionist on the check - out day. The Red Light District begins just behind the hotel. Some dubious faces hanging around hotel vicinity.
Warm vibe of the hotel and friendly staff The shower wasn't great
Buffet Breakfast Plastic Folding Door on Bathroom
Friendly and professional staff, good breakfast. Location (I hadn't realised it was on the Reeperbahn!)
Friendliness of staff
The staff was so lovely and the location was really comfortable to visit a lot of places in Hamburg Curtains haven´t got anything to protect guests against the sun light. The shower space was tiny and I´m only 1.56m.
The location was perfect.
good value for money and excellent location close to underground and area i had to visit
The walls in room 103 needed repair and painting.
Location is good, close to either reeperstreet and fish market, good choice for a short stay bath room is way too small
The staff on reception are helpful, friendly and speak english well. The hotel has a general warm feel about it, particularly in the lobby. My room and my friends room both stunk of cigarettes, even the duvet and pillows stunk, yuk.. not nice. This meant that despite my best efforts to keep the room warm the maid had to open the window every morning and leave open.
friendly staff, easy to find. breakfast wasnt worth 9 euros
Location was very good. Walking distance to the reeperbahn. Very good for clubbers. Good for 1-2 nights stays. The price i had was very good. (59 Euro/night) Check-out at 10:30 am in the morning was really unique and not comfortable. Bathroom was really small.
Proximity to the city centre.
room was a bit shabby for the price they had no dedicated non smoking rooms
everything i needed was available location is so so
The location was ok Too expensive, room too small, no tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
Available parking No aircondition
The breakfast was vast but a little expensive - 9 Euros. The room was clean and comfortable and the hotel was in a very central location to public transport and the St. Pauli district which suits young travellers with cool cafes and bars. The internet in the foyer and wireless was not working for the first two days of my stay and staff didn't really seem bothered about it which was annoying as I needed it for work. They eventually fixed it after me hassling them repeatedly.
Wanted to stay in the red light district and it certainly was in bang in the middle Close to tube. Eat very late at night They should have sold earplugs but we did bring our own!
The breakfast was delicious. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean with comfortable beds. The neighborhood was not really our scene (sex clubs, brothels, etc.). Music and drunk people from the surrounding clubs were very loud until about 6am every morning. We came back to the hotel late in the evening to come upon a very drunk man puking near the entrance.
the cleanliness, the excellent staff, the proximity to the reeperbahn nothing
Good Location, plenty of places to eat and only 20 minutes walk from the Hamburg Messe Exhibition Centre. Metro 5 minutes away. No telephone in room. The Hotel does not take credit cards !! - but will accept debit cards (if pushed).
It was too noisy at night until 5-6 am in the morning. I would recommend giving earplugs to the persons that don't like the noise.
very clean room, excellent shower, excellent location. only cold water in bathroom sink
Long breakfast time-frame. That's all about the good stuff. Low value for money: like a hostel - but less fun. like a cheap hotel, but expensive. The room wasn't big nor comfortable. if you have a big luggage, you'll have problems to move within the room.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Rooms can be noisy
Leaving it. Room was clean and basic. It's in a red light area. Do not book this hotel unless you are happy to arrive via the Reeperbahn (strip clubs, bars selling cheap drink, brothels) or Simon-Utrecht-Strasse (homeless people sleeping on the streets, fears about personal safety). When I booked this hotel I had no expectation about this. Thank God I didn't take my daughters! The wifi didn't work in my room, and I had to sit in the very basic bar downstairs to use the wifi. The safe in the room wasn't open
The staff were very friendly, layed back and helpful, the room was very clean. this is awesome budget hotel and is more like a 2 star. Rooms did not have a safe.
Central location Stained carpets, basic facilities, smelt horrible, no rubbish bins, shower leaked, no fire escape, etc etc!
Excellent location for young people who want to go out at night at the Reeperbahn. Cheap and not far from the city center, so it's ok for back-packers too. Cover the windows a bit more more, too much light in the morning. If you went out at the Reeperbahn clubs, the few hours you can get to sleep are in the morning:) Everything else was fine.
staff were friendly, room was clean and despite its location it was quiet.
Very short walk downtown. Close to reeperbahn without being stuck in the action Rooms were small, not bad for the value
I liked its location and friendly staff Room wasn't cleaned during the stay.
It is on the Reeperbahn, so great for night life in Hamburg. The staff allowed us to book in at 11.30am, which was very helpful. It was very noisy at night - not an issue for us and it was obvious when booking that it would be, but definitely not good for families etc
Rooms were clean and had a shower. Ideal for Stag do's. Teyn
Friendly personal, very good located Sometimes a little bit loud outside - but ok for this location (Reeperbahn)
