Came back from South Asia raving about this hotel. Can't believe the luxury, style and amenities. I've stayed in more expensive hotels but I've never stayed in better than this. The smartphone they provide you in room with free international calls and data and Internet made wandering Hong Kong so much easier. The breakfast buffet is vast and huge and fancy and delicious. And the rooms are gorgeous and well appointed. All needs are thought of and anticipated. The staff are incredibly attentive, you feel like you're a VIP. I can't imagine staying anywhere else. Six million stars.
Great spot for a one night layover in Hong Kong

Lap of luxury in Kowloon
From the moment we arrived until our departure, the level of service was extraordinary. Rooms are spacious and extremely comfortable. The rest of the facilities exude an approachable luxury that is likely to pamper any traveler. If included in the price of your stay, the buffet breakfast in The Market dining area is not to be believed. Foods from everywhere well prepared and exquisite service. Highly recommend staying here.
We dined in the top floor restaurant Above and Beyond and had the Peking Duck set menu with a wine pairing. Here, unfortunately, the highly attentive service became intrusive and absurd. For example, someone comes every minute to check on your table and rather than a casual glance this check includes a careful study. The servers would often jump in to do something unnecessary and pointless such as turning the water bottle so that the label faces you or randomly realigning items on the table in a fussy manner. And if you had the temerity to top off your own water glass, someone would jump in and grab the bottle form your hand. Aside form the overbearing service, the meal was only okay. The duck was tasty, but most of the other flavors were no more than ordinary. And the wine pairings were similarly undistinguished. Considering that the meal (at HKD 2000) was by far the most expensive one we had in 4 days in Hong Kong, it was a very poor value for money. I recommend going elsewhere despite the high rating this place receives on Trip Advisor.
All is well
Ranked as the number three hotel overall in Hong Kong, Hotel ICON is a picture of modern amenities, meets stunning architecture, meets incredible location. This five-star hotel has panoramic views of the harbor, rooms with tons of space and luxuries, and service that will make guests never want to leave.
Travelers can choose from 262 rooms that have wood accents throughout. The style is designer elegance with sophisticated décor and furnishings. Everything is very modern and sleek, but with a warm and welcoming feel. The best room in the house is the Designer Suite by Vivienne Tam. It has all around views of the harbor with a telescope included in the room. The suite is large, has a pillow menu, a king bed, and a rain shower head. All rooms have espresso makers, robes and slippers, free wireless Internet, and are soundproofed.
Hotel ICON offers a world-class dining experience as well. Above & Beyond is a Cantonese restaurant that is well-known in the city. Green starts out as a coffee shop and café in the early part of the day, then turns to a lounge or cocktail bar at night. The Market has food on a buffet, including local dishes and sushi.
The location of this hotel is incredible, right in the middle of downtown Hong Kong. Guests at Hotel ICON will find attractions like Hong Kong Coliseum, K11 Shopping Mall, and Kowloon Park within walking distance of the property. The amenities at the hotel will keep travelers entertained however, with an outdoor pool, a full-service spa, an impressive business center, and well-equipped fitness center.
