Cioppino for dinner was overrated and overrpriced (for the quality of food served) - chocolate ice cream dessert was a big disappointment - staff was incredibly accommodating and courteous however, which compensated somewhat. breakfast buffet was great as well.
I stayed at the Ritz Carlton, Key Biscayne with my best girlfriend and it was one of our favorite weekends together thanks to the Ritz! Everything from the valet service to the gorgeous pools and landscape were perfect. Truly a five star experience and I will definitely be returning in the future.

We had access to a private beach where we got to see atleast 45min of AMAZING Fireworks! Location was really nice and peaceful. Nobody disturbed us. Room was equipped with everything that you would think you need. Full kitchen nicely granited, they even included all different pots so you have the option to cook if you'll like. Overall great experience!
Stayed for 5 nights. Had food at every restaurant practically in he hotel, each one better than the other. The pool and the facilities were exceptional. They had a superman at the pool deck - think his name was Sam. Everything eas exceltional but he was very courteous and took extra care of our 9 year and ensured he loved the pool and the hotel.
Clean rooms and modern feel Not much parking. Valet is not free and over priced. Right across the street from airport so expect some noise. Not much but some.
price and location Bathroom and shower was in bad shape. tile and grout was black and the shower on /off lever was broken and very hard to use . But worse was the black mold in the white tiles and grout. Just a little spraying of clorix would have done the job
The view was wonderful. The bed was extremely comfortable. The employees were helpful and the shuttle service was really useful. The shower was not very big and there was no hook or rod to hang up my used towel.
Great location near the airport, shuttle service very convenient and very friendly. Great service in the check in /out , also in the restaurants. Good breakfast . Clean rooms , pretty view from the other side . The only complaint is the room 853 is impossible to sleep. Very loud , maybe the air conditioner or something. Was a nightmare.
The check in line was super long when we arrived so we went out to dinner. When we got back it was peaceful. Staff was nice. Decor was modern. Beds were soft. Room was quiet. Very nice stay. Needs free coffee in the lobby in the morning.
Rooms were comfortable, clean, and we had a nice view of the golf course. The airport shuttle and location made this a perfect start to our vacation.
I liked the price I didn't like the fact that I was charged to park my vehicle. The bathroom had hair in it that was not mine and when I called the first desk she said she would have someone come clean it and no one came.

It was a very comfortable place to stay - especially for the price that booking.com got us. Wonderful pool, a great little walk out onto the point for a view with relaxing music playing along the way. Lots of flora and fauna. The room was very nice and the bed very comfortable. Wish we'd been able to stay longer. We were there for one night before our cruise. The shuttle was great to the hotel and we got a taxi to the ship. The food was expensive, but the atmosphere was great.

It was close to the airport
The walk around the jogging track was immense and coupled with the water feature of the Blue Lagoon made our holiday all the better. The grounds of the hotel I found very private. No complaints
Spacious room, good pool and public areas, a place to slow down and relax. Close to highway and downtown (must have car). Hotel will rip you. They leave some water bottles on the room and charge almost 4$ for each, problem is that I found the Price on a tag with some green sayings on the las day and a lot of bottles later. Charge 54$ for a 1 minute int. Call? Cmon! The price for the room itself is good but I felt stolen.

Great Location overlooking the intercoastal and so convenient to American Airlines Arena. The Hotel is beautiful and the staff is friendly and very helpful. Breakfast buffet was excellent. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Miami. There was nothing that we didn't like!

Great location, right on the beach, nice big bright rooms, comfortable need and sofa in the room, 2 huge TV in room, heated pool for chilly days, non heated pool for hot days. Really family friendly, delicious breakfast, Good kids menu. The pillows are way too big and stiff.
The rooms were clean, it's a 4:00 check in but I got to the hotel at 11:00am and they had one ready and had no problem getting us in the room. I had the partial ocean view which was nice. Beds were comfortable. The pool was nice the access to the beach was convenient. I didn't like the fact that as much as you pay to stay that nothing was complementary. The food and drinks were overly expensive but you're in Miami everything will be expensive. No microwave in the hotel at all. I didn't care for the $100/per night deposit but they refund it fairly quickly after your stay if nothing is wrong with your room. The resort fees are deducted the last day of your stay. The women's lobby bathroom always smelled. The elevators were slow. One time getting on I was almost stuck in one had it not been for someone prying the doors open.

My stay at GBH was wonderful. The rooms were spacious and clean, the staff was friendly and the hotels backyard was Miami Beach.. What more could you ask for? I didn't like the $20/day resort fee that wasn't included in the overall price and the fact that they charge $100 per night on your credit card at time of check in- in the case there are damages to the room.. Although you do get your money back upon check out if all is fine.

The Grand Beach had it all, great service, great food, great beach, great location. Beautiful huge room with everything I needed in great condition and so clean, I can still feel the white carpet on my bare feet. It rained a little, other than that , perfect, I would go there again, or everytime I went to Miami beach.
Hotel cleanliness, beautiful decor, waterfront Staff attitudes toward customers, specifically in Valet. They made crude comments and gestures behind the backs of other guests. Also staff attitudes toward business, like they didn't want to be there and didn't mind showing it.

The Help wa exotic The Help was exotic. The language barrier was hard to overcome. We spent 2 hours by the front desk upon arrival. They lost our reservation. We had a terrible experience. But the dis comp us on alcoholic drink
Grand beach hotel is a very beautiful hotel located on Collins ave with direct access to the beach. They have two pool and two hot tubs on the ground floor, but we really enjoyed the pool and hot tubs on the 7th floor rooftop. The hotel is great for families or groups as it affords the ability to join adjacent rooms. The continental breakfast is pretty expensive at $25 and doesn't hold much value at $25.
Location, rooms, ocean front. Noise in room when a/c came on. Didn't get fixed before we left. 35 dollar a day valet parking.
Proximity to beach and Lincoln Mall. Our room was right off the pool which was super convenient. Front desk staff couldn't have been nicer especially when I disputed some charges at checkout out. The facilities need maintenance. Particularly the pool area. Broken tiles and the bottom of the pool was chopping off in at least one large area. The bathroom also could use some maintenance. The vanity top had a chopper out of it and theme leftist was rusting in areas.
Location is perfect for experiencing all that South Beach has to offer; staff was fantastic and very accommodating; food was very good; The way of the travel world now appears to be to charge little bits (or more) for every little thing, this was no exception.
Location, pool area, room & bed comfort. It is located right out of the loud crowd on Ocean Drive, so it is a lot more chilled and relaxed. Overall, much better than all other hotels on South Beach. I can't quite say it was a true 5 star experience in terms of appearance and for the premium price. But again, a lot better than the other hotels around.
I was charged twice for my staying and although I've contacted the site several times and it's been three weeks I still couldn't get my money back

Every staff member said hello to me. Staff was very friendly The Spa experience was ok, Massage for a deep tissue was weak. The Sauna was not on, I turned it on but should be preheated for guests or what good is it. For $440 for 2 - 50 minutes massages I expect more.
The first night was a disaster. At about 5:45 p.m. I called down to report a loud fan/ motor annoying noise. They said they would send someone up. We left about 20 minutes later for a dinner reservation.When we came back later that evening it was late nothing had changed. we were to tied to do anything so we tried to go to bed. Sleep did not come for either of us easily and we were up a good part of the night. The next day I complained and the girl offered us a $50.00 credit and would move us down from the top floor in the same proximity. the noise was probably from the motors on the roof. Looking out after agreeing I saw all the fans from the building next door so I called back and said it was not acceptable. I was turned over to the Rooms manager (Emily) who was excellent we were moved closer to the front of the building, no noise good sleep a Ritz Carlton experience. First day terrible second day great. The staff was mostly helpful and always had a smile on their face. The lobby is among the most beautiful spaces I have ever seen in a hotel The rooms are clean and spacious Love the pool and jaqcuzzi. The man made beach was a nice touch You definitely pay for what you get. Expect to lay out a pretty penny Pool side service was a little spotty. At one point my wife and I had to wait 15 min for a towel and chairs despite the area being fairly empty (this was after speaking with two staff members) on another occasion we waited 20 min for someone to ask for our orders. There was a stain on the seating area in the room. Do not know what it was, however definitely expect more from a hotel of this caliber. Our view from the room was absolutely gorgeous, but the balcony was too small to fit chairs on. Note this appears to be only on a small section of rooms so be weary about this.

Great Staff, great view, very clean, i mean they clean the rooms twice a day, the staff is the best part of this hotel. Will stay there 100000 more times. The food and parking are not cheap, $40 per day just to park and the breakfast will cost u some $$. Needs a fridge in the room, it's miami.

We were impressed by the service, which is really outstanding. The beach island is really nice, it's a pitty there is no entrance in water. The view is great. The food was average. We had few dinners at the hotel and it was quite expensive, but so-so.

Pool area was beautiful, and open 24 hours! Love how the hotel was right next to the beach. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Price of food and drinks at the pool / beach was expensive, but it was what I expected when booking the hotel. Beach chairs were included in the resort fee, which was nice, but the fee didn't include a beach umbrella with the chairs...the umbrella was an extra $25 for the day (and we absolutely needed the umbrella because it was so hot outside).

the hotel amenities were fine, meals were good not exceptional. pool is nice as is beach access. i don't recommend for a vacation setting. hotel is very large, busy - not relaxing for a couple. Lacked the intimacy and romantic touches of other hotels catering to vacationers vs. business.

It's right on the beach! Housekeeping staff took my iPhone 6 charger and took the bottles of alcohol that I bought and placed in the fridge. They also took my razors. Also noticed that while they are on the floors cleaning they keep all of the doors open even if they have other people's property in them which makes it really easy for someone else to go in to your room and take your stuff.
Cheap renovations with premium cost of accommodation. Parking cost is unreasonable. Our first room had not been cleaned after the previous guests. We were switched to a worse/smaller room. There was no acoustic privacy.

There was a significant amount of blood on the walls between the doors of our room and the room next door (how can you miss that? who is looking over this place??)
I am a former Miami citizen and so I am picky and savvy. The Royal Palm is simply beautiful. The furniture, flooring, light fixtures, landscaping, are well designed and maintained. My room was clean, chic, had an amazing view. Bathroom was modern and lovely. Bed and sheets were comfortable. Your stay includes beach chairs and towels and service (cocktails and food) at your chair. I felt like a queen and was treated exceptionally well by the staff at the beach. I accidentally left my grandmother's ring in my room after checkout and the bellhop mobilized the housekeeping staff to look for and find it. I am so grateful! And whoever is running this place is doing all the important things right. I am a frequent traveler and will DEFINITELY be returning to the Royal Palm Resort. Oh, and you can't beat the location... I requested a late checkout, as I was unsure when I would be done with my meetings, and the gentleman at the front desk smirked and laughed at my request, which I did not appreciate. I do not fault the Royal Palm for this I still feel, despite this individual, I had an amazing experience and I will definitely return.

My wife and I booked this hotel through Kayak's partner Getaroom in late October. The South Beach hotels were generally booked for New Years Eve, so we were happy to have a confirmed reservation. When we arrived at the hotel in New Years Eve, we were told by the front desk staff member that it reservation didn't exist. We looked up or confirmation and confirmed that we had prepaid via credit card. The hotel staff did they could not honor our reservation as they had no rooms available and they take no responsibility for mistakes made by third party booking agencies. They recommended we try elsewhere, so my wife called other hotels and I ran around trying to find a room. We called Getaroom three times and we put in endless hold each time as they struggled with the same problem. They finally found the glitch which turned out to be a misspelling of our last name as "Wppd" instead of "Wood." No apology from the hotel or Getaroom for two hours of frantic searching for another hotel. The hotel itself was nice but lacking in staffing and amenities. Cleanliness was OK. The pool and hot tub were overrun by kids and postadolecents. Location was amazing and we were able to walk to New Years Eve celebrations in South Beach.

Location, beach access Poor hotel management, and poor service when allocating rooms and requesting guests to change rooms. They tried to downgrade us on the first night (the room was already paid for), and also offered us to sleep at an other hotel on the first night because our room was not available. Not accessible. Swimming pool area: Bathroom at the pool could be the bathroom of a 2 star hotel, and there are no indoor shower.
The hotel had direct beach access, and close to great outdoor shopping, and was a very good value for the money. The staff was friendly and attentive It seemed a little run down, but that was in character for a hotel that was as old as this.
The staff was above and beyond wonderful!! Very nice, clean accommodations, and beautiful pool. Great location! Overall a lovely hotel. Only downside is the only place to purchase water or soft drink was the bar. They charged us $4.00 for a small aluminum can of Sprite.

We've stayed in other Sofitels before and this one didn't seem like one; the room definitely didn't live up to the brand. It didn't even live up to some of the lower-market Accor brands either. We were very disappointed. Towels were unwashed; they smelled like they were new from the manufacturer (not even washed for the first time). Carpet looked old. Room didn't seem upmarket at all and needs updating. Bathroom smelled like smoke in a non-smoking room. Front desk either initiated or failed to stop another hold on our credit card, beyond the normal hold for incidentals, the day we checked out no less (and we checked-out several hours before normal check-out). This was not a problem per se, but it was still an annoyance, especially considering that hotel seemed sub-par in other ways. In summary, the room was not horrible; it just wasn't a Sofitel. It was the equivalent of an average hotel, not even above average.

They overcharge for everything- $17 for parking. The service is ok and nothing worked very well...internet, television etc

Nothing The staff was rude from the moment I walked in the door until the moment we left. They made jokes at my expense because it took me forever to get up the stairs since I'm pregnant. I booked two rooms but they didn't one of them available at 6pm (3 hours after check-in time). After sorting that mess out, we got stuck in the elevator which terrified my daughter. To make it worse the staff was giggling as we called for assistance. Upon entering one of the rooms, there was a large brown wet stain in the center of the room. When we called to complain the front desk said that we should be happy that they upgraded us to $600 a night room since our other room wasn't ready. We just asked them to clean it but they said most of housekeeping had left so it would be awhile. Even the staff at the coffee shop was rude in the morning when we asked how long it would take to order anything but black coffee because of the rest of the menu wasn't ready two hours after their opening time. Overall it was a terrible experience. The hotel is rundown but its the staff that made sure that I would never use this hotel again

View, No working shower, had to pay $45.00 to park my veichle the hotel! I mean are you kidding me, that's like going out to eat, and the paying the restraint to use their bathroom! Then I get up at 6am to get ready for my 8 am meeting, and the shower does not work!!! Unreal, sink was stopped up, bell hop watched me struggle down the stairs with my luggage. Terrible staff and service, if I wanted no service I would have stayed in a day's inn!!
The convenience to the beach. Staff friendlyness and helpfulness. The price was very reasonable, the hotel structure and arts are beautiful. The hotel needs a renovation ASAP, the pool was extremely too small for the amount of people staying at the resort, they need to build more pools and perhaps a few hot tubs. The water front restaurant and bars needs renovation, cleanliness and more variety on drinks and food.
My room wasn't ready they put me in a smaller room with a single king size bed, I was traveling with my wife and two kids. the next next day I had to check out spend the entire day outside until 4pm then they didn't bring me my bags until six pm. When I asked to speak and complain to the manager. He offered an insignificant resolution that still left us completely unsatisfied.
Nothing!!! Ashley at check in was ridiculously horrible!!! Manger came out he was horrible & no help!!! I was given t wrong info abt check not my fault but I'm t one they looking at crazy!!! Room was filthy hair every were left over definitely not mines!!!!/ Mildew in t bathroom.... Chipped paint, top sheet stinked, rooms old!!! I can complain all day abt that place especially t rude staff!!! Please don't waste your money on this hotel!!!! I read how rude t staff was but I always give people a chance boy was I wrong on this one!!!!!! Don't waste ur money!!

the hotel is right on the beach the spacious room the dining rooms with the ocean view location in mid each is much quieter and private the coffee shop the price of the hotel was a decent value for what we got especially for miami the service was pretty good although staff maybe could have been a little happier and more pleasant towards vacationers beautiful lobby the dining options too much air sent in lobby but everyone is doing that the shower head sucked, no light in shower area no jacuzzi which seems to be common among hotels here there was no place to hook up smart phone to play music (this should be standard for a place like this.
I appreciated the staff upfront. The breakfast was great! The view was awesome. Due to me booking the room via a 3rd party website, I had to wait for a extended period of time to get my room. The front desk were doing everything they could to help me. In the room it was old. The TV didn't work and there were no towels in the room. So I had to go down stairs twice. The towels were old. After that it was ok. I would stay again. The old room is no fault of the staff.

The hotel is located right on the beach with an amazing swimming pool too. Because it has just been refurbished everything was NEW. With in a short walk to Lincoln for fabulous shopping and food. Parking was $60 per 24 hours.You can park and the Miami garage across the street for $35. We have a strange smell in our room at times.

Completely disorganized. Awful service. Food and pool servers are COMPLETELY oblivious to anything. Fish sandwhich had maybe less than an ounce of fish for $25. Pool servers looking to gouge you charging for water, & upselling over priced cocktails. You're lucky if the food ever comes. Room was Nice and clean however. They wouldn't let me check in till 4pm despite me being there at 10AM and asking for early check in. Then, they locked me out at 12noon sharp and refused any sort of leeway at all. Avoid! Completely apathetic staff, disorganized and chaotic dining area. No one really in charge. Despite multiple attempts to speak to the manager, the mgr never came. I'd rather burn my money or throw it away than give it to an establishment such as this.
We were fortunate enough to have a pool/ocean view room with a balcony. The view was gorgeous, especially in the mornings as the sun moved up. The room was small but well laid out so that it didn't feel small at all. The bathroom was well designed and appointed as was the closet. The staff was extremely friendly and although the service was somewhat continental.. we were on holiday and didn't mind things taking a bit more time. The facility has beach access behind the pool so, you're never far from the water and sand. We are actually from Miami and were looking to get a change of venue for Thanksgiving and this was ideal. Nothing really.. I suppose that it would have been nice to have in room coffee, but that's a WPP.
The room was nice and clean. The people were friendly. The pools were nice. The beach was great. Room: We had requested an ocean view room with a patio. We were not given any options. The room# was 534. It was on the side of the building facing west so our main view was the hotel rooms on the other side. There was just a sliver of ocean view. If I were to go again I would insist on a room facing East and much higher up. Noise: Music from the restaurant was loud and started at 10:00 p.m. and continued until 4:30 in the morning. Extra Charges: There was a $150 charge extra per night which will be allegedly refunded. the parking was $40 per night. The taxes are a killer.So for two nights at a quoted rate of $260 per night, instead of being $520 turned out to be $729.
Pool and beach are the best part of this hotel. Rooms facing Collins are loud. Traffic noise is awful.

It was new The hotel hosted an event at the pool all day Saturday which meant it was closed to hotel guests. Relaxing and drinking poolside was not an option but one we had counted on and paid for. Management should have mentioned the event when our reservations were booked, alerted us at check-in or made an appropriate accommodation. We expected better.
My stay at Thompson was very satisfactory. Everybody smiled and greeted us everywhere without making us uncomfortable or being too friendly. It was a quiet and relaxing stay that I very much anticipated, and I was glad that I chose Thompson for my first visit to Miami Beach! Some items in the fridge were gone, which I happened to find out while using it to store some food, but it was immediately taken care of as soon as we called the front desk to notify it. All in all, great experience!
Staff was upbeat,sincerely friendly at every encounter,made for a pleasant stay! Short staffed at breakfast,and lunch,no interest in trying dinner,menus bland, quality subpar,kitchen glitches everyday,restaurant is weakest link in the hotel.
Amazing room, will definitely go here again. Staff was helpful in providing a room when Amoma failed to make a reservation for the hotel. If you are booking a hotel room from kayak through a third party, buyers stay away from Amoma!
Pool,location,bed itself was nice. Customer service was very bad for a 5 star hotel, mold in hallways of room, dirty stained carpets, every piece of furniture was damaged and just looked bad. If I wanted to stay in a hotel 6 I could have saved 200 dollars.

The hotel and atmosphere were great. The best service were the bell hop and the valet service. Untrained staff, in particular the service in the restaurant was poor! Front desk gave conflicting information are not clear when asking about restaurants.
Loved this hotel. The concierge Jorge Rocha was so helpful, he gave us GREAT customer service. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Miami.

Location and pool. Dirty pool, dirty spa, dirty room, expensive forn nothing. Even the holiday inn has a slepers and more clean the bathroom and bedroom. The closet was broken, and they gave us a room for special capabilities i dont know why.
Modern, cool, hip--like all W Hotels. Unlike some, there wasn't loud music playing at 3 am at the upstairs club. View is great. Gym is good, but a bit of a haul to get to as it is in a different building. Hotel messed up my bill quite badly and overcharged me by about $500. Only attempted to resolve after I had to intervene at check-out and again over the phone (and I still haven't seen the final refund come through via the bank). Additionally, while I was having dinner, the bartender at the restaurant came up while he was on Skype with his son and was like--"look at this beautiful woman eating by herself!" It felt a bit invasive.
The W Miami is a beautiful hotel with amazing amenities. The rooms are luxurious with king size beds and large bathrooms. The fitness center has all the machines needed for a good workout, and a hot tub for after the workout. There is a large pool on the 15th overlooking the bay. I can't wait to return.
it was convenient to the Whole Foods and the bed was comfortable. decor was dated and drab air conditioner was not reliable noisy noisy noisy at the pool you can smell grease and smog

Proximity to bayfront park and American Airlines Arena while costing significantly less than competitors. If you don't mind walking 6 minutes and want to save $100, this may be for you. The feel of the hotel is a bit old. Old school card scanners on doors, carpet a bit dated, but still clean. Under an airport route, but what hotel downtown isn't? Lower floors will hear traffic.
I was in town for a conference, and the staff were wonderfully helpful, the room was quite nice, and the hotel amenities were great. A nice alternative and well worth the cost
Loved the location of hotel. Was able to walk to diffent places without having to drive. Staff was very friendly and helpul. Greeted you with a smile at all times. Room was clean and really nice view. This was my first time visiting Miami and I didn't like the fact that the hotel doesn't offer free parking like in other places I've stayed at. Seems this is everywhere in Miami. The phone in the room didn't work and was not even connected. I tried to connect it to the wall outlet, but there was no dial tone.
Location Bathroom was not maintained. Tub was plugged and shower needs to be replaced.
Ambiance was good. Staff was courteous. Breakfast was excellent. No clear direction in the parking garage. No coffee maker in the room, only 2 pack of ground coffee, how do I make coffee without hot water and coffee maker? We booked a king size bed and there was only ONE pillow on the bed. How can I be a king with only one pillow?!
Loved the room service, cleanliness, everything was delivered on time. Perfect location. Absolutely amazing. The paid parking is a bit of a pain in the neck

The hotel is very well appointed: from the lobby to common areas and, most notable the rooms. Everything is clean, crisp and well conceived and executed.

Rooms are spacious and beautifully done--esp. the bathroom. Huge TV. I like the location for downtown - great for walking. Lobby sparce, chaotic and unwelcoming. Valet was told it would be 20 min., but it was not that long. Event was happening , so lots of arrivals and tight spot to get a lot of cars coming and going.
as soon as I arrive with a reservation, they told me that they were full and I didn't have a room in that hotel so they change me to another Marriott

The wifi didn't seem to work, luckily I was close enough to the lobby to use that.
We stayed three nights for our anniversary and we had an amazing time. The rooms are very modern and clean with super views over the bay amd the city. The staff was very friendly wherever you run into them. Walking distance to lots of activities (boat rides, jer skis, American Airlines arena, restaurants, etc..) highly recommended!!!
The facilities were all wonderful. The views spectacular. The pool area and gym are outstanding. Parking is way too expensive. I had a problem with the television set in the bathroom, the remote simply would not work. I asked for help on this three times and each time they could send someone to turn it on but they could never tell me how to turn it on.
Luxurious accommodations, incredible views. Room service was very good. Valet parking always seems to be the weak link at many hotels. Nothing horrific, just not up to the standard represented at this property.
